  1. Watching the Senators light up Lundqvist makes me want to puke....and it illustrates more than ever that MB needs to go. It's time to rid this team of excess plumbers, lazy bastards, and guys who have skill but choke when needed most (MAX). Lundqvist wasn't that great, our crummy team just made him look good by shooting at his crest and being duds on the attack. He's making JG Pageau look like Mike Bossy or Brett Hull ffs...can't stop shots that are actually heading for corners. Anderson played like a sieve and the Sens still won...so let this "Carey got outplayed" shit come to an end...Habs are just a pathetic team offensively. PATHETIC!

  2. I don't ever recall being happy with MB's roster make up or being happy with the dark direction he's taken this team. I think you are delusional in thinking others are as happy with MB as you are.

  3. If Tavares wants to sign in Montreal, I'll drive Galchenyuk to the airport. And I've been one of the biggest Galchenyuk supporters here. You don't turn that down. Chuck + Beaulieu + 1st.

  4. Well, see my proposal for a 'stealth rebuild' above

  5. Everyone forgets Washington. 02-07 was their rebuild years (and aside from their finals appearance they had some high picks in the late 90s too), pretty close to the same years as Pittsburgh. They still can't seem to figure it out in the playoffs. But I'll take five years of a toilet team over another five years of pretender teams. It's not about a guarantee at a Cup. It's about realizing futility and attempting to fix it.

  6. If Tavares wants to sign long term in Montreal you acquire him. You sign him. You don't blow it like Turgeon. You run with it.

  7. Maybe you should tell him what really is needed and how to do it? But, I think he has only addressed the top centre-more offense question 1000 times and simply said he isn't willing to mortgage future to go that route. But, he wanted to at least address the two things you noted which was affordable and fit under the cap. But, last two seasons he traded up on defense and maybe coming up this year his big deal will be to do likewise up front with one or a couple of current top forwards being dealt for a centre?

  8. Look, it's obvious that the uncertainty around Galchenyuk's suitability for C means that the Habs absolutely have to acquire at least one top-6 C. At least. Where I maybe differ from many fans is that I don't think the team has to fixate on a stud #1C. That would be ideal, but one or two 55-60-point C would mark a huge upgrade relative to the pathetic place where the team is now. Even acquiring one such C will probably be too 'tough' for our idiot GM, of course; but I really think this is the approach a realistic team would adopt. Get 1-2 guys like that, and you can stick Galy at W all you like. Problem solved, except for people who make a fetish out of the Ryan Getzlaf-type dominant #1C.

  10. Yea, gave up 8 goals in 2 games against the sens, i think 9 goals in 6 games against the habs, minus empty netters. Shows how anemic the habs offense is

  11. hopefully 2 new top 6 centers, put Danault on the 3rd where he belongs I would remove the C from casperiotty, give it to Weber

Shows how anemic the habs offense is However, literally everyone picked Habs to win series and many projected them to be drafting in bottom four. So many agreed with Bergevin's roster make up before the series and playoffs started, but now everyone is ranting the total opposite...bit hypocritical, no?

  13. Incorrect, he said he isn't gonna do what it takes, not that he cant. Any monkey=Mike Milbury, or armchair GM can deal away a roster player or two and picks/prospects for a player. But you see many also whining loudly about weakness in prospect pool and to use it to help get a top six upgrade, will not deepen the pool, nor help the franchise down the road, nor help to get a big deal completed at present. So pick your poison and Bergy is not going for the short fix it seems and dosent look like he will change that strategy anytime soon.
