  1. The zingers within the biting sarcasm and wit score more often than the Habs do.

  2. Not really seeing the "stare down" metaphor, myself. Molson has all the cards. Not a single person in the media or the fanbase would be upset to see MB fired. What leverage does MB have? If Molson is waiting, it's not because Moron Marc is staring him down, but because he wants to wait, period.

  3. I'm agnostic on CJ (although that our three most talented offensive players are all struggling under his reign really does suggest a fundamental problem). But I completely agree on MB. I though we'd hired a GM who understood the new NHL. Turns out he is exactly the opposite - an old-school fool.

  4. I really thought CJ would be the right fit for this club. When we signed him i was happy. Thought we finally had a coach that could take the next step with this team. But i am starting to realize it's a young mans game today. I don't think CJ understands that. I don't think he knows how to coach in today's NHL. The same could be said with Bergevin. He has a old school way of thinking, which doesn't work any more in today's NHL. What this organization needs is a guy who is brought up through management in today's era of hockey.

  5. The only way to improve this team at this point is with draft picks

  6. After another game like last night, no fight, no excitement, no skill on display, don't you get the sense that something has to happen, is going to happen?? With fans booing, leaving games early, saying how boring games are, no scoring....honestly, how much longer can Molson sit back and do nothing? The media all seem on the same page. Terrible team, no character, bottom or near the bottom of the league in so many categories. Have to believe that if we go another week or two like this the outcry will be so loud, I'm sure there will be more empty seats, I just don't see how you can keep going like this without doing something. So for the first time, maybe ever, I'm hoping we continue to lose, just so that it will force some changes! Honestly, I never thought we'd be this bad, this demoralized....I really feel bad for the players. It must be tough coming to the rink each day. If we don't make changes I would think it will be very difficult to attract quality free agents this summer.

  7. I feel the same way. Its not that I don’t think Price, Weber, and Pacioretty could be part of a Stanley cup core, it’s that Mark Bergevin hasn’t built the team for what those core players need complimenting them. Namely a mobile puck moving D core to compliment Weber, and help the transition game for Pacioretty while getting the puck out of the zone for Price effectively. But also a guy like Radulov who can create space for Pacioretty and Drouin. At this point, I just want a fresh start, and that includes management. I’m not trying to be cynical, as I can see some people thought from a few downvotes earlier, but if my team isn’t winning the cup I at least want them to be entertaining. Losing Subban, Markov, Radulov etc. is losing some of the most entertaining players we’ve had in ages. Restart, get some top notch youth in a rebuild, and move forward with peices like Galchenyuk, Drouin, Gallagher, Shaw, Danault and the next veteran group, and infuse Mete, Juulsen, Poehling, And Scherbak, with some new youth.

  8. As Cucumber said previously, this team needs a new core. We do have a few decent young pieces but they are not the foundation type players to build a franchise around. I love Price but I don't see any reason to keep him at this point. If we can get some good assets for him then do it, Weber and Patches too. We need a core rebuild and those three guys can help start the process.

  9. All I am hoping is that MB is fired before he makes another trade. Mr Gainey, are you busy for the next few months or would you mind stepping in until we can find a permanent replacement?

  10. Roy would be a good palate cleanser. You know even in success he would set the franchise on fire and whoever followed him would have to change everything with no survivors. Brodeur is interesting. If Quintal is like Shanahan because he worked a similar job, Brodeur is like Shanahan due to the respect around the league and connections. Always liked him, don't know if I like him in a major position. I wouldn't hate it. There's talk the Bowman's won't survive in Chicago if the Blackhawks miss the playoffs because the Windy City actually has consequences for missing the playoffs. If Stan is available, I don't see how he isn't number one on the list.

  14. I love it Joe Morrow, stop skating during the last 10 feet after getting caught on a pinch just in time to have a front row seat for an easy tap in that was completely preventable with a few extra strides. * Slow Clap*

  15. Yeah, me too. The Sharks seem like they have another in them.

  16. The only GM in the league stupid enough to pay Alzner that much for multiple contract years....is our own.

  17. How bad is it in MTL? Pretty damn bad... http://montrealgazette.com/sports/hockey/nhl/hockey-inside-out/what-is-this-paper-bag-doing-on-jean-beliveaus-head How many more losses until we see some waffles on the ice at the Bell Center?

  19. Molson needs to hire himself a real President, a hockey guy with the success of this club dear to his heart, and won't stand for incompetence. Shanahan is a perfect example of that, I don't know if Damphousse or Roy is that version for us, but the owner shouldn't be the president too and allow his personal feelings to get in the way of results.

  20. This team has pretty much quit. Habs have 1 even strength goal last 5 games. No player in top 140 in league scoring.

  21. The team has given up. Season is over only a few guys with the drive to keep playing. It sucks that the season is over before we even faced the Bruins once. At least we can play to put a damper on their season if anything...

  25. I’m ready for this team to be torn down top to bottom. First out the door, the biggest names who haven’t won anything. Weber Price Pacioretty night as well be used for a rebuild. Aren’t doing with this team.

  26. Everyone over 25 should be moved and we should be going for a total Shanahan leafs style rebuild.

  27. Yep. Given MB actually asked for permission to talk to Gallant, it hurts even more. After I finished doing the balki batalmakous dance of joy for MT getting fired, my biggest concern was that we hired a MT clone, who was a main reason for the Bruins trading Kessel, Seguin and Hamilton. I said at the time, I could see galchenyuk not working under Julien a d that we would end up trading him away, like we moved Subban.

  28. Sergachev = 25 points with average time on ice of 15 minutes. Drouin = 18 points with average ice time of 18 minutes. Can't wait to hear people make excuses for him because everybody was yelling to get him last year..
