While I agree that having nothing but Bergevin can be tiresome (there’s not much else at the moment) aren’t passive aggressive insults more detrimental to the forum than that? No matter what side you’re on in this discussion I’m pretty sure we’re all capable of steering away from it. The truth of the matter is that if the Habs were a powerhouse right now, we’d all be hunky dory, but they aren’t. So we’re boiling over a little as a fan base. I don’t think it’s really each other we’re mad at, it’s the the state of the team - and the state of the team is a result of the manager, so here we are. The reason you’re only seeing MB bashing is because there’s next to nothing new happening. When the season starts, I’m sure we’ll have a lot more to talk about. So the constant MB bashing will be just one of many topics.

First, that didn't come close to answering the question. Second, Shaw is coming off a concussion and a subsequent knee issue that will keep him out of the lineup into the season. Perhaps that's why he's still on the team? The fact that he wasn't dealt for Domi (in a trade that would have made no sense for Arizona at all) doesn't mean that Bergevin valued him over Galchenyuk at all. Teams aren't lining up to acquire a concussion-prone bottom-six forward. That doesn't automatically mean Bergevin is valuing him over more talented players. (That does mean he's on an overpaid contract, something I think everyone was pretty much in agreement on the moment it was signed.)

If we want to drag Bergevin behind a bus for a week would we have to rent a bus or just apply with the transit authorities?

If you think Domi for Galchenyuk was utterly stupid, what would you have called Arizona's GM had they dealt Domi for Shaw, a move that would have made no sense whatsoever for them? At least Domi and Galchenyuk is a swap of top-six forwards; Shaw is an overpaid and injury prone grinder.

What would you want to talk about - what an exciting year this will be to be a habs fan??? How we’re all excited to be looking forward to a return to the playoffs??? How price will lead us to the Stanley cup this year??? How many rookies we have that will be Calder trophy contenders and will lead us to the playoffs??? How exciting it will be to see tie domi cheering for the habs??? How we can’t wait to see Pleks play in his 1000th game??? These are the kind of discussions leafs fans would have engaged to in the past when they were the laughing stock of the league. I prefer to get to get to the root of the problem. You can keep on waving your Pom poms.

Given the state of the team what else is their to discuss??? If anything it’s the the mismanagement of this team and frustration of almost 25 years of futility that has poisoned the type of discussions that can be had about this team. unless of course, you’re a Pom Pom waving fan that resemble the annual parade route planning leafs fans from the Ballard to Burke era. no matter how bad things were, the current year would finally be the year the cup drought would end. Kind of like Charlie Brown thinking that, this time Lucy won’t pull away the football.
