I’ve also never agreed with the intent to injure rule. It should be regarded like high sticking. If the player was in control of their actions, like Myers last night, it should be suspendable. If Myers was tripped and while falling he concussed Armia, he wasn’t in control of his actions therefore no suspension. Would take all the grey area out of intent to injure.

Yeah, I wasn’t attacking the kid, just observing what an egregious rookie play that was. He seems like a smart and confident player, I expect him to learn from it and adapt. But any time you give a rookie big minutes on D, you will occasionally get burned. Just reality.

If he can't go tomorrow, the Habs will have to go 7/11 (with Perry likely taking Armia's spot). They can only afford one recall right now.

I'd be ok with one of our big D-men knocking one of the Canucks top forwards senseless on Saturday...it'd let teams know that there is a price to pay for headhunting our guys, so best not to.

Glad I’m not the only one who thinks he looks exactly like ol’ Mr. “And A 2nd.” That period was hilarious. Poor Canucks...their D was dodgy going into the season and now is absolutely decimated. A lot of talk on Habs radio (which I was listening to while walking the dog) about Petersson being out of it. I’ll have to tune into the Van sports shows tomorrow and see what the hell is going on with him.

Now we are seeing the effects of rolling 4 lines last night. This will bode well for the Habs for the 10 back-to-back games this year.

If Anderson rebounds and fills the net then this contract is amazing. However...this is an absurdly high risk contract that has a greater chance of becoming our next Alzner. MB threw 7 years at a guy that had a severe injury and is coming of an awful season. I think the salary is fine (I thought 4.5 million was ideal) but the term is crazy.
