  1. after tonight, i'm drinking two guiness a game, but only when we really need it. what a way for kovy to come back!
  2. kooooooooooo joooooooo kooooooooooo joooooooo 3-0 habs.
  3. I don't know what all the love for Thornton is for here. Isn't he the same wuss who played with cracked ribs and let his team down? He was sub par in a series because he was hurt, and it showed. Every time they showed him limping about they'd say, "well, he does have cracked ribs..." Hmmm. Who else was playing with cracked ribs??? You can't compare Thornton with Saku. Saku is tough as nails. Thornton is big soft and plush.
  4. I'm sorry, but for what exactly does he have to apologize? Isn't it the other way around?
  5. i don't see any reason why things will have changed from last night unless theo gets his groove on and makes the lads feel shame. 1-0 in a shootout, dags with the winner.
  6. mmm. montréal 10,000,000 buffalo -2 [Edited on 2005/11/26 by mrgodo]
  7. So more controversy is better? Saku Kovalev and Theo for Domi Tucker and Belfour. We'd get some extra goal scoring potential with Belfour...
  8. i've always taught my cousins and nephews from a young age that the big CH means GOOD!!!
  9. They are both owned by Bell Globe media... i think it's more than a coincidence.

with back to back games, that also means you have more days off between series, rather than just a steady stream of games. so, i'm not so sure that back to back is necessarily a bad thing. no way the league would want to endager canada's darlings with a lousy schedule. as for someone beating ottawa, it won't be the blue shirts: it will be ottawa themselves. they are already planning the parade route. they are the buffalo bills.
  11. do you believe everything you read? i think there are only a couple of nutbars who would actually trade theo right now. and by nutbar, i mean "someone with an opinion other than mine". montréal should dominate every period. we should win every game. we should have stellar goaltending, speedy and dazzling forwards, powerful precision hitting defensemen and genius coaching. to be complacent with a win every couple of games or sit back and enjoy a 'hot streak' is the way of the blue shirt team. what teams have we beaten that we shouldn't have beaten? we're not washington after all.
  12. rooster, i can be there in two hours if you're ever in a bind like that again. (to sub in for you either at work or at the game: i'm multi-talented)
  13. Does it have to be voted on or can we take turns? I'd like to give it a whack someday.
  14. I don't really care what experts or bookies say. It's a form of external justification that doesn't add anything to my fanatical devotion to the habs. I don't know who montréal will play in the conference finals, or the finals finals. Does ESPN carry any hockey games . . . sorry, ice hockey?
  15. because toronto is canada's team and the best shot that canada has to get the cup back is with montréal...
  16. i'm not an expert. i didn't learn to skate til i was thirty and play floor hockey more like basketball... but, isn't it possible to figure out exactly who is the flawed extra man for each of the penalties? Is it always a different player or is there a pattern? At least one was bad luck in that the puck hit the player that was going off after his replacement stepped on. Is this a problem with players not hustling off or with players too anxious to get out there?
  17. You've got a real love-on for ottawa, don't you? You're hoping they win both the grey and the stanley. What is with you? Maybe you should move here. But it's a lot colder than Fiji!
