  1. too bad Therrien had to go. Good person, good coach. Nice to see him do well with the baby pens.
  2. The last game I saw our Habs play in New Jersey was halfway april 2002. One ugly game. Stephane Fiset was making his Montréal debut, Petr sykora played one heck of a game and our beloved team was playing without Dougie Gilmour, Oleg Petrov, Quintal, Brisebois, Dykhuis & Gino Odjick who all got the night off. Koivu played his 2nd game after a miraculous retour, picking up 2 assists on the night. I remember it like it was yesterday. Happy the team changed a lot since that warm, sunny april day. Still I always start shivering when we face the Devils in New Jersey. Has it something to do with that 5-2 loss, Patrick Traverse playing as our #1-D? Here's hoping for a better result tonight.
  3. I totally agree with you, we don't need another speedy forward in Todd Marchant, but hey get over it, dickie isn't coming back. As much as we like "Digging Dickie", don't expect #12 to be in the lineup anytime soon.
  4. Off topic: Tommy9 congrats with the 1-0 win over Norway after the Rosicky goal. Here's hoping Jan koller will be back with the team soon. See you guys in Germany.
  5. Tomas Plekanec. The first ever Hamilton Bulldogs player to earn the honour of being named the AHL All-Star Game’s Most Valuable Player. Nice pic for those plekky fans.
  6. Good job from Yann. Thumbs up! Still I think we have to be carefull naming goalie X or Y a career backup. Even if that goalie's 29 years old. Anybody knew the Dwayne Roloson who was playing for the Saint John Flames in '95? I practiced a few times with him and I was thinking he was quite an awesome goalie! People said of him he was a career backup/minor leaguer and it sure looked like that when he joined the Buffalo Sabres to back up Hasek. Via St.Louis' farm he landed in Minnesota and we all know what he's doing there: 1995-96 Saint John Flames AHL 67 4026 190 6 1 2.83 33 22 11 1805 0.905 1996-97 Saint John Flames AHL 8 481 22 0 1 2.75 6 2 0 222 0.910 1996-97 Calgary Flames NHL 31 1618 78 2 1 2.89 9 14 3 682 0.897 1997-98 Saint John Flames AHL 4 245 8 0 0 1.96 3 0 1 123 0.939 1997-98 Calgary Flames NHL 39 2205 110 4 0 2.99 11 16 8 997 0.890 1998-99 Buffalo Sabres NHL 18 911 42 1 1 2.77 6 8 2 418 0.909 1998-99 Rochester Americans AHL 2 120 4 0 0 2.00 2 0 0 47 0.922 1999-00 Buffalo Sabres NHL 14 677 32 2 0 2.84 1 7 3 277 0.884 2000-01 Worcester IceCats AHL 52 3127 113 6 6 2.17 32 15 5 1482 0.929 2001-02 Minnesota Wild NHL 45 2506 112 0 5 2.68 14 20 7 1132 0.901 2002-03 Minnesota Wild NHL 50 2945 98 1 4 2.00 23 16 8 1236 0.927 2003-04 Minnesota Wild NHL 48 2846 89 2 5 1.88 19 18 11 1234 0.933 Maybe our french goalie has a few hidden talents as well. 7. Pourquoi faire simple quand on peut faire compliqué? HaHa, bien joué, captain K!! Bring on the devils!
  8. Kings' Sean Avery fined for comments http://www.nhl.com/news/2005/11/243548.html "Mr. Avery's comments showed a complete lack of respect for all those associated with our game, most importantly his fellow players." -Colin Campbell
  9. let's make that a 9 game losing streak for them panthers. :ghg:

  11. Théo played a 16 out of the 18 games we played thus far. We can't expect him to start 80 games. Besides, after yann's performance the coaching staff probably feeling the kid is deserving a start. Allez-y, Go habs Go. [Edited on 15-11-05 by mathieug]

  13. Off topic: yep, yann getting his 3th start on monday. Does anybody know what's going to happen with Huet? Habs recall Lapierre, assign Huet to Hamilton http://www.canadiens.com/eng/news/redirect...newsItemID=4527 [Edited on 15-11-05 by mathieug]
  14. Amen! Plus, maybe there's a chance for that Danis scenario to work. If we put 30 goalies on our depth chart. If the #1 sucks, trade him, and the #2 becomes the starter (e.g. Huet). The #3 will be the new backup. If the starter plays a couple of bad games get rid of him. The #3 (who's now #2 on the depth chart) takes over as the starter. The #4 (e.g. Michaud) is now the backup. Yep, great idea, If Danis plays a couple of bad games... [Edited on 14-11-05 by mathieug] [Edited on 14-11-05 by mathieug]
  15. Komisarek the Cruncher "If you want to keep him on the basis that he will get better and back to his better days, that's fine don't take us for fools by saying that he as been doing great so far." My Quote? Don't think so. Théo's a top goalie in this league, and yes there's room for improvement, especially cuz this boy is earning them millions, but it's still early. Not? Did you notice the change in Josés rebound control? Danis could have easily played as well and even better so far. Yep, you're "feeling" that? Like we say over here: Une hirondelle ne fait pas le printemps. Don't get me wrong, I like Danis, I have his poster hanging above my bed (for more than 16 months now! I didn't "discouver" him early this season in Atlanta) but, it's still too early. Not? Theo as been shit this year GPI W L OT Min SO GA SHA GAA SV% 16 10 3 3 935 0 46 409 2.95 .888 Yep, shi£ that is! You da goalie specialist, hein? Can you give me a name, a specialist can maybe name more, from a goalie you think would produce better here in Montréal? J suis curieux! Happy with Mr Gainey making the calls. Trading just to make a trade, pwff. stop cursing, even if it's french. it doesn't make your argument better. tas raison quizz. [Edited on 13-11-05 by mathieug]
  16. Happy with Mr Gainey making the calls. Trading just to make a trade, pwff. t#barn@que! Getting a stumach ache from reading this thread, but I have the solution for all you unhappy people: Voila @stie d'tab@rnaqu&! wake up

  18. Hey, inspector clouseau, can you try to find out who's florida's goalie coach? Haven't heard anything from that rumour spread early this year that françois allaire was joining jacques martin in florida. Thanks.
  19. You just won't give up on this will you. You've made your point now move on Yup, let us exchange théo for a robert esche, john grahame, brent johnson, curtis joseph or any of those other so so goalies for a couple of weeks. Convinced that you'll come crying, begging for théo to return. Just don't realise what quality goaltender José is! Hi there tomas-you suck 1 period in philly so you have to go and become a superstar in nashville- vokoun.
