I disagree with most of you. It is true that right now nothing is broken. But sometimes things get broken when it's not in our control. What the heck do we do if Koivu goes down with a hugh injury which he tends to do anually??? Can anyone look me in the eye and tell me we will go anywhere with Plekanec as our first line center. We have depth in every position except center. Therefore we should trade depth players like Dandenault, Abeischer, Perezhogin, Johnson, Begin, Murray, Downey, if it means getting a good center. That way, the next time Koivu goes down to an injury, we don't write off our season.

Something heard on the team990. Ok Forsberg is an injury riddled superstar. He is unmotivated to play for a weak team like Philly. Right before the trade deadline, we trade for Forsberg. We rest him and only play him enough to have him get adjusted to Kovelev and Samsonov in time for the playoffs. We would have him for one season, and there would be no guarantees that he would resign with us after the playoffs are over, but with a little luck and a little health we would be serious cup contenders. So who do we trade to get him? Philly has always needed a goalie so David Aebischer along with a draft pick. And voila, we have a team that may go all the way. What do you guys think?

I think most people agree with me that we need one Center to play with Kovalev and we need one do it all type defenceman to be one of the elite teams in the NHL. If you can have any center and any defenceman who would they be? My center would be Vincent Lecavalier My defenceman would be Chris Pronger

Beautiful post Beliveau. Anyone who plays sports and who plays defense knows this compensation concept first hand. It's normally the guy who's sprawling and who looks like a fool that we should be thanking instead of grilling, because it's that guy who is trying to do double duty and make up for someone else's mistake. Souray is solid and he might even be our captain if Saku isn't.

Yeah I'm not a superstitious person. I don't mind taking about what may come after this series because I know it won't affect what happens on the ice. If they lose, they will lose because they played bad and win if they play good. Unless I'm in the game and I can cheer which helps the habs, I know it doesn't matter what I do, it won't affect them. That being said, I believe the Canadiens will win this series and then lose to a stingy buffalo or new jersey team cause Ottawa is gonna lose the first round.
