  1. Is this guy a 2nd or 3rd pair player? He certainly got a nice raise for 4 days into free agency.
  2. Cap space is probably no longer an issue. Carolina will match. Aho's salary isn't of a concern anymore.
  3. There are infinite possibilities for trades out there. Dumping the contracts of Shaw and ND will provide added flexibility to getting a #1 or #2 LD. Toronto was weak on D and they they pulled off something for Barrie that no one really saw coming. I'm equally sure MB has the ability to also explore these types of options.
  4. Man, that's vicious. Tom Dundon must be livid.
  5. At 22 years old, i wouldn't say he's any further off than someone out of the NCAA
  6. https://www.tsn.ca/montreal-canadiens-sign-defenceman-otto-leskinen-to-entry-level-deal-1.1301904 He's a lefty, and looks to be offensive. Not sure if this is 100% guaranteed Laval assignment or if Otto has some legit chance of making the top 4. His numbers are good.
  7. @dlbalr - FYI, Nate is still listed as a UFA on the Free Agent Lists and not includes in the Recent Transaction section on the main homepage.
  8. CBJ is really throwing around picks this week. 2x 1sts, 2x 2nds, a 4th and a 7th.
  9. Dutch Gretzky should offset SOME of the offense lost from Froese going the other way.
  10. I think many are stating that they'll keep his 1000th game in Montreal for a proper celebration. BUT it could also be a hockey decision, too.
  11. Dorion learned from his previous mistakes. LOL.
  12. Well, except goal tending. I'd tag their D as overrated and under-experienced. But you can't argue about their Forwards and Coaching team.
  13. Jesus, Brian. You're churning out the signing write-ups faster than TSN can put names in their tracker. Still not seeing a single Habs signing. EDIT:Well, until 30 seconds ago.
  14. LOL @ Minnesota Wild. Pateryn for 2.25m AAV? Yikes.
  15. Completely wrong? I doubt that, as much as i doubt your capacity to speak authoritatively on the subject because you "now" rub elbows with victims of domestic abuse. I should have used the term many instead of any. Self-esteem and self-respect issues are as commonplace, if not more prevalent, than symptoms of Stockholm syndrome, as well as a litany of others psychological issues. So there is a strong degree of truth even if i framed it incorrectly.
  16. The complete cynic in me thinks that's despite being regularly assaulted by her partner and father of her recent child, this woman is probably willing to tolerate quite a bit to live the lifestyle that being with a millionaire sports star provides her with. Any woman with an iota of self-respect would have been gone long ago. Hockey player wives are 4 times out of 5 just eye-candy and arm trophies. Neither of them would be there, in most cases, if there wasn't the $$$.
  17. Time to get your Redenbachers into the microwave peeps!
  18. Like ESPN, i'm sure they will require some kind of subscription service - if they even offering it at all to Canadian locations. Alas, nothing is free in this world! I guess i'll be tuning into Habsworld for the transcripts
  19. Cheers, Don. I'll have a look if i can get that straight off the web. Would be much more awesome than paying TSN $25 get the weekend coverage. UPDATE: i think ESPN is US-only. Says it doesn't offer the service in my region. I'm sure you guys will share your screams and tears immediately after the news breaks anyways, right guys??
  20. On a separate note entirely, anyone know where the Draft will be streaming for those particular fools who decided to cut their cables?
  21. Both are ELCs, but one is 2 years (Moravcik) years while the other is 3. Why is that?
  22. What do you guys make of the Larry Carriere move? Small potatoes?
  23. Then this is a pretty risky signing. If he can't impress at camp, he likely goes back home and we lose a year on the contract, right?
  24. I see Danault more as a very well-rounded 2C. Not sure how much higher his point totals can go, but he's pretty much in line with what Stastny is producing these days, and he's usually due to mis at least 15-20 games a season due to injury. Obviously not the same offensive pedigree, though, but time will tell if Danault can consistently produce at 0.5 ppg. I think the cost of bringing in Stastny wouldn't be worth it - assuming he's the best option for 2C on the free agent market (should he not sign back with Winnipeg).
