Same thing happened to me when I started looking at ESPN again and asked where KoZed, sakiqc, puck7x, et al. went to.

I remember reading similar things about Dagenais, like how he showed up at rookie camp before the lockout to work on his skating. I thought his attitude about the game had changed, but unfortunately it didn't Such a good shot gone to waste.

Don't know, was before I found my way over from ESPN. I stopped checking the ESPN boards for a while, and it happened to be about the time HW started, so I was about a year behind.

I don't recall the spelling, I just remember the 10-15 line posts that were in one sentence. I'd say you're the leading example for the success of the warning system, hehe.

Except that the good old members ARE the Mods, hehe. Take a look at your warning history. You were warned and then suspended for name calling and harrassing other members. I am so torn. The Reds traded 3 of my favorite players over the course of the last year and all three were traded away for players who have not helped the team. Yet they are still in the hunt and close to the Cardinals.

Do all members have access to the main HWL forum?

KoZed This isn't about my opinion. It is about the fact that those who run and pay for this site (myself included to a small degree) have set up rules for the site. One of those rules is that people do not post BS links, and those in charge decided that blogs and such sites are not legitimate sources, and are thus BS sites. I think we were more than generous allowing a thread for such rumors. There is obviously interest in the rumors, but as KoZed pointed out, this is not a rumor site. Every other thread should not be about some random person's blog. Allowing the permanent thread is a very generous compromise to those members who enjoy such things.

Not sure if he could play in the CHL since I assume he wasn't drafted into the league since he was playing in college. Now that he has a contract signed, he won't be able to play in college since he is now a professional and he will not be old enough for the AHL. If he doesn't stick in the NHL, I don't know if he'd be able to play in the CHL.

Hey, there are rules against using BS sources, so we don't allow threads based off of them. Guys like Eklund might really talk to insiders, but he does not constitute a legitimate source. He has nobody checking his facts. He could get away with posting just about anything. His site is about making money, not getting the inside scoop. Having one thread was a generous compromise. The members who like such rumors get to talk about them and everyone who hates BS rumors doesn't have to sort through threads trying to figure out which threads are about legit sources and which are from BS sources. This isn't open to discussion.

Haha, now that's dedication. A two and a half year old thread from my original account that got busted between the old and new forum. Impressive.

I can't believe the Reds. They trade two of their best young players to the Nationals for 2 relievers and Royce Clayton. They also traded a top pitching prospect and another prospect for 2 other relievers, Kyle Lohse and Rheal Cormier. Also, they traded for Eddie Guardado not too long ago. Now that the trade deadline has passed, they found out that the guys they got from the Nationals suck, so they've continued to trade prospects for relief pitchers who are not even good enough to be claimed on waivers. Just shows how bad a move GM Wayne Krivsky made for Kearns and Lopez. Now they trade for a crap bum from Toronto whose ERA is even higher than the guy whose roster spot he is taking. The NL must suck because the Reds are still leading the Wild Card.

Yeah, we tried that option (Heck, we tried all the options) and people kept getting booted left and right. I wish FinalConquest would get their server up.

You can try to change it, but a number of those options were only for premium members. There is a note on there saying that non-paying users have a one minute limit for turns and are expelled from the game if they don't hit the button to end their turn. The other page is where we played last night, it's pretty much the same thing but you can have up to 2:50 per turn and all that happens if time expires is that you lose your turn. Looks like their server has issues, but hey, it's free to play.

And a note, keep an eye on the chat when you are looking for other HW people. I don't know about other people, but I always advertise that I am starting a HW game and I'll usually hit start as soon as 2-3 people I recognize join up, so be ready hurry when you see such a message.
