Wow, 3 shortys against in 4 power play opportunities. I think it's safe to say special teams decided this game. And pretty much the whole series (0-14 on the pp). Although the pk was pretty good (11 out of 12 killed) In the 2 games that went to ot, I had the lead late in the third only to have Chicago tie it up. Really close series though. I only wish I could have at least taken a game or 2. Grats to the Hawks though they came through when it mattered most.

Yeah, you had a better chance without posting this, because now Koz knows the lines he sees are the ones you'll be using. Your best bet is to find someone to send some for you and post who will be doing it. Even if they aren't the lines you want, Koz won't see them beforehand.
Lol, me and my big mouth, I seriously considered calling my wife and giving her a crash course on EHM, when you said that. I guess I'll have to take the hit tonight, unless there is some kind soul who wants to send in a set of lines for me on really short notice.

Crap, so it turns out I'm gonna be stuck at work until 9pm tonight, and I didn't get a chance to send in my lines. Although I'm not sure it matters because nothing I've tried in my test sims seems to get me past the Blackhawks. But I guess I'm gonna have to leave this sim up to chance.

He is being paid to fight. It is his job to make this happen, no matter what. Don't give me these f*cking excuses. That's two games in a row where two non-fighters have to take on two of the biggest @ssholes in the league. And now Komisarek's hand is (possibly) broken. Carbo should send him a message by dressing him, but sitting him on the bench. He's the undisputed top fighter in the league for Christ's sake. DO YOUR JOB!

This basically confirms what tony said, what should he have done? pull a Burtuzzi on someone and get suspended for the rest of the season? Lucic is a punk and he showed his colors last night. But I would have expected Thornton to go with Laraque.
And you know If he had not had to skate around Max against Ottawa, he would have fought Ruutu, It's just Boullion was the closest guy there and got to him first. Should he have jumped in and been the third guy in? Again your looking at another suspension there because of who he is.

First, Lucic isn't a fighter... he's a hockey player who fights, there's a difference. He's an improving sophomore player with good skills (he was a WHL star and Memorial Cup MVP) who's getting more and more responsibilities, getting some powerplay time and sometimes playing on the top offensive lines. Again, Boston had absolutely nothing to gain from losing Lucic for 5 minutes, especially not against a marginal hockey player like Laraque; Laraque did the right thing trying to initiate a fight, and Lucic was very smart to refuse.
Lol you're making the same argument some habs fans made after last post season about why komi never fought Lucic, fact is the guy is a fighter. You don't have 13 fights in one season,being a hockey player first and a fighter second. And it still doesn't excuse the fact that he acted like an ass.

Lucic has a history with Komisarek from the last playoffs, but he had absolutely no reason to fight with Laraque. What would Lucic or the Bruins have gained from such a fight, the team was in control, had all the momentum, and it's not like Laraque made a dirty hit on a core Bruins player?
Lucic is a fighter he had 13 fights last year. What reason did he have to go with Ivanans last year or Erskine or for that matter Tim Gleason, or any of his 10 other fights last year? Not exactly the cream of the crop in most of those. The fact of the matter is Lucic Pussed out when he was asked to go by BGL. And he acted like an ass when the game was already out of hand.

If by true colors you mean that he scored a goal, was a plus 1, was physical, beat Mike Komisarek in a fight, and got the tird star, then yes. Personally I just wish we had players like.. or I should say that I wish that our players similar to him played like that...
No by true colors, I mean turning down Laraque when he was asked to go, and acting like an ass when he scored a goal and won a fight in a game that was over.

Why would they have fought Laraque, Lucic and Thornton were too busy kicking our arses on the scoresheet...
That's my point. Lucic had no problem going with Komi. I know there's a bit of a history there but he's a douche. Any respect I had is gone, first on the goal, chatting with the fans, after her made it 5-1, then fighting Komi when he declined to go when asked earlier in the game with Laraque. He's nothing more than a punk.

Laraque tried to go with Lucic, and Thornton on multiple occasions, and they declined. I had no problem with that until Lucic fought Komi. That that tells me they were scared of BGL. That little prick needs to be taught a lesson, I say next Saturday Laraque shouldn't give him the choice, just jump him and Pummel that big ######in nose of his.
Anyone else want to puke with the way Lucic was hammin it up after he scored the goal and after the fight?

It's because his ties are in two digits, it knocks the first digit of the wins off the screen. You just have to assume theres a 1 there, lol
lol ahh so that's why on a second glance and a bit of quick math it only adds up to 31 games...

I get home from buying Wrath of the Lich King, and find out I clinched. Phew. That was close. 2-2 sim this week.
Started out with Garons second straight 4-0 shutout of the Stars.
Lost 5-1 to the blackhawks. Liles injured for 2 weeks. (thanks Koz, like you didn't have a big enough advantage
)Next game was a 3-1 win against the Blue Jackets to clinch.
Followed that up with a 4-3 loss to the kings. (just happy I wasn't LA's first road win of the season, thanks Seb

Great Idea!This was as sickening as any game I've watched this team play. They played badly to a man...but some stood out more than others.Price: Junior B level goaltending at times....sitting on his ass deep in the net. Garbage
Kovalev: Skated like he had a 50lb bag of potatoes strapped to his back, and passed like he had the hands of Lapierre on several occasions (see below)
Lapierre: Hands of stone...just skating around out there with no real purpose
Latendresse: Does this guy ever make anything happen out there? Wasted minutes.
O'Byrne: 'Bambi' looked as shaky as ever. Christ, do we need a D-man...wake up Bob!
Markov: Apperently, there was a 2-for-1 deal on those 50lb sacks of potatoes...and Kovalev and Markov went shopping together. Couldn't tell if he was playing hurt, or just lazy.
They were all bad, but these guys just stood out more to me than some of the others. A couple of them, because they are usually very good for us. Others, becuase they always seem to be shit and I'm getting sick of seeing them out there. Overall, this game made me want to puke. So much so that I hope Coach Carbonneau puts these lazy bastards through a 'no pucks' practice that makes them all want to puke around 9am tomorrow morning. :puke: :puke: :puke:

I honestly think this is what the habs needed. Maybe they'll realize talent cant get them points in every game, they actually gotta work for the points.
