I could never figure out how a rule this detrimental to everyone ever got included in the first place. While it is unfortunate that we got burned by this rule already, I say the sooner they change it the better. For example, it this rule was gone, we would be able to bring up Dags. Not because he is so great, but because he could fill in for injuries, or to send a message to a floater. Unfortunately, Dags had to stay up longer then we wanted because they could not send him down, and now that he is down he is effectively lost for the season. People wonder why he is not doing well in the AHL, but it must be hard to focus knowing that nothing you do down there has a chance of getting you promoted back to the big club. Dags is an example, but many teams have the same issue with marginal players.

Lost in the shoot out.... That sucked. Don't know why they use Ryder in the shoot out, he never scores. Ah well, good effort tonight, but lack of offense killed us again.

Oh my! Talk about big time goaltending... HUET!! (and the post did well too).. Shootout should be interesting. Both teams have some good shooters, but I give the edge to Atlanta. Sort of wish we had our Shootout specialist on the bench at times like this... (Dags)....

Sure, now the refs are calling weak penalties again... after letting Atlanta play... Unbelievable that they were call Markov in OT for that crap...

And there is the next dumb penalty late in the game. the refs stopped calling everything, but Souray has to be smarter then that....

These refs sure suck. Blatent interference and no call, yet they were sticklers earlier....

the Habs have been terrible 5-3 all season. With the amount of talent down low (Koivu, Ribs, Ryder, Kovalev), why they waste most of the time passing it back and forth between the D is beyond me. Worse, the D are so close together that one guy successfully covers them both....

while they are stitching up the ref, perhaps they can fix him with some new glasses too...

And another penalty taken in the offensive zone.... Not sure how Gainey fixes that, but he has to do something. This team takes so many dumb penalties...

Wow, Zed is actually skating tonight... The real reason for that goal is that he put both hands on his stick for a change, hence the great backhand shot to Mr. Finish. (wow, never thought I would be calling Bulis that)

Another offensive zone penalty. come on guys, show some discipline. Huet is going to have to be sharp tonight....

Koivu takes another bad penalty...what is wrong with him...stupid hook again...

The biggest worry I have about this signing is that it indicates to me that Gainey thinks Koivu is our number one center for the next three years. Hence he doesn't plan to get a better center then Koivu. I just don't get it. He is getting less then a point a game, but even if he did get a point a game his max is about 80 points. Factor in injuries and he typically gets 60. He looks like he is slowing down as well. My concern is that he is not a top ten first line center now, and i don't see why he would suddenly become one at his age. Too much for too long if you ask me.

I am dissappointed as that is first center money. I just don't see Koivu being our number one center if this team is going to become a cup contender. I could see him as a key member of the team and a number two center, but our hands will be tied. If Koivu wanted that much money I would have let him go and signed a better number one center as a free agent. Worse, he got a no trade clause. In other words we just tied up about 10 percent of the team's salary for a guy who will probably average less then 60 points a season. If you are dissapointed in Theo's salary and how it handicaps the team, wait a year and see what you think if Koivu's decline continues. I hope I am wrong about him. Maybe he will get better, but I doubt it. He is a small, frisky center with pretty good skills, but has never really broken out of that average "number one center" level. Saku is going to have to play much better then he has this year to warrent that contract, imo. People complain about ribs who makes peanuts compared with Saku and is only a few points behind.... Ah well, i wish the best for Koivu, but from a team perspective i think this was a mistake that will ensure we stay at the level we are now for another few years.

Propecia does not mask any steriod, it masks a particular steroid. That steroid is used to add bulk and does not help reflexes, etc. I think the doctor said it best... He sees Theo undressed and trust him, Theo is not on steroids.

Damn I love that line of Ribs and Kovalev. I just saw how to make it better.... Markov at the point. Damn that was nice work by everyone on that goal.

Yeah. I think he and Ribs make a good pair. Ribs is a great passer and is always looking to pass. It leaves no doubt in Kovalev's mind that he is the shooter. Would love to see a line of Ribs, Ryder and Kovalev....

Well, he is not helping the team, just wasting ice time. Hopefully they keep his time down so he doesn't end up costing us from being too tired. Flu sucks. Wow, great hustle by Bulis... damn that boy can skate.

come on refs...Komi was clearly hooked from behind.. he goes down, the buffalo player gets the puck and a great scoring chance. If Koivu made that move he would be in the box.
