  1. I agree and think signing the Hogin petition is as dumb as the Bertuzzi one. But I really like the Kovalev Petition because RDS is backing it. Being from a business backgroud I see RDS giving the Kovalev Petition the neccessary credentials it needs to be considered credible. Being that RDS pays the Habs millions of dollars per year to televise the game. RDS wants Kovalev Signed more than anyone else, and when RDS speaks the Canadians in some degree listen. Plus honestly, do you see Super Habs Fan number 1 George Gillett not signing Kovalev? God he probably loves him more than anyone else on the team besides Saku. Kovalev will be a habs next year, it only makes sense when you think about it.
  2. Hey guys, On RDS.ca they are doing a petition that they will hand to Bob Gainey. They want everyone who wants Gainey to re-sign Kovalev to sign it. You can see the petition at: http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/HOCK...AN40927EDC.html Look at the top right hand corner of the webpage
  3. Hey I was just wondering if any of you have a link to the results of the Habs skill competition, (if they had one) or know the results because I am quite interested. Thanks a lot
  4. "Why cant kovalev play the left side, it makes more sense seeing that he's a left handed shot....." I think generally it is better having a left handed shot on the right wing as it is easier to cut a cross the middle and have a great shot against a goalie. The greatest habs of all time, Maurice Richard, shot left and played on the right. Havent you guys noticed that Ryder always has to drag the puck before he shoots? This is because he is a right handed shot playing on the right side. I think Ryder will play better on the left as I have seen him score many goals this season on the powerplay from the leftside (does anybody remember the game tying goal the last time the Habs played Ottawa?). I think Julien knows what he is doing and this all makes sense to me. [Edited on 2004/3/11 by Skindogg60]
  5. RDS.ca is reporting that Kovalev practiced with Ribeiro and Ryder meaning Dagenais will likely (and thankfully) watch the game from the pressbox. When I first read this I was a little upset because I really wanted to see how Kovalev and Koivu would play together. If Koivu can get as many points as he does playing with tier two hockey players, I wanted to see how he would do playing with a Superstar like Kovalev. But the way Perreault has been playing on the first line, and having watched a 6 ft 5 player who is terrified to hit and cannot win the races to the puck, this only makes sense to me. Having Kovalev play with Ribeiro now makes two equally impressive scoring lines. Im thinking the forward line-up will look like this. Perreault - Koivu - Zednik Ryder - Ribeiro - Kovalev Begin - Dowd - Ward Langdon - Juneau - Dackell
  6. RDS is reporting that the Habs have traded that plug Blouin for Rene Vydareny from the Vancouver Canucks. Fixed title [Edited on 2004-3-9 by sakiqc]
  7. Is it just me or have these two players been playing some awesome hockey as of late. Langdon has been great protecting the puck and even setting up and being a part of some decent scoring chances, where has that been all year? Also I think Komisarek has been playing great as well. He is finally throwing his weight around out there more often and seems much more comfortable on the ice, looks like he is going to be a great habs for years to come. 8. I cant believe some of you guys favor leaving Sunny on the sidelines instead of those two plugs (Juneau and Dackell)...Sunny is better than both of them combined in my opinion.
  9. I completely agree with what Cherry had to say. I am from Saskatchewan and am able to watch all of the Habs games on RDS. I was furious and embarassed at the boo's I heard on Thrusday against the Flames. Koivu is by far the best player on the Montreal Canadiens, nobody on that team gives more than he does, he is such a treat to watch and is having a pretty good season (minus the first 5 games). I seriously hope that this was a one time thing and the french people of Quebec come to their senses before another great Canadien is forced out. Did I say that I agreed with Cherry?!?!?
  10. Im guessing the Flames will not be getting Brind'Amour as he has 3 years and 14 million dollars left on his contract. Im thinking their is no way the Canes will be getting rid of him.
  11. Hey everyone, I am a new member to this board. I have been visiting it everyday since its inception and I finally joined last week. I must say that I am really impressed with the work you guys have done...this is an excellent webpage...Congrats!!! Anyways I was just reading the Jan Bulis player profile on the main page..and the other claims that the Bulis/Zednik trade was Houle's greatest. I was always under the impression that Andre Savard made that deal...I just wanted people to realize that Houle was in fact still a goat and never made that trade. PLease correct me if I am wrong. Thanks:hlogo:
