4th place in the Conference at mid season is no confort zone. With 7 th position at only 3 point back and two games in hand is not enought to tell players, ok guys just play .500 and were in. Samsonov continue you're artistic skating some people love it, and while youre at it do us a show like Braden did in the last game in Slap Shot. Do you want to play New-Jersey or Buffalo in the first round, hell no. The 4th seed is very important for us since Huet is an at home wonder and it give us the chance to battle a tired team in the first round. Let others surprise New-Jersey and Buffalo to clear us the way up there. Thats why we want more goals from Samsonov to help us win and finish the higher we can. I

Perezhogin first got demoted from 3 to 4th line and now he is out of the line up. Looks like he want to shake him up. But i think it is not wise to remove two of the fasters skaters(Perezhogin and Grabovsky) in the team for two grinders that make us equivalent in speed with Philadelphia wich as none. That and with Forsberg in the line up it can't hurt to have you're best +/- on any line.

As much as i like Lapierre i don't see him centering a second line period. Especially this second line with Kovy and Fat Turtle. Against slow defense Flyers i would have prefered Grabovsky on the second line. And Murray out of town !!

Good thing is that he got attention for next year. I would have liked to see him with someone else than our louzy second line. I would see him with Ryder and Latendresse while Koivu-Kovy-Higgins on the first line.

Hey, maybe Colorado's looking for a second line left winger? one on one for Brisebois ??

With a little bit of chance he could have scored at teast two highlight goals. And a couple of pass if Samsonov was not his winger. But he is fast, he can help the team as soon as Bob throwing out the garbages.

Grabovski make's Samsonov looks like a fat turtle.

He must see it and being very frustrated not being able to prove he belongs. We need him down the road, playoff run and playoff.

Lapierre is still a project, he would fit perfectly with Bégin in a strong checking line. Grabovsky has shown some great stuff but he will go down unless the second line explose with loads of points wich i doubt.

This line up make sense. I woul have prefered Higgins-Koivu-Kovalev Perezhogin-Grabovsky-Samsonov Johsnon-Plekanek-Streit Latendresse-Lapierre-Ryder Thats just me. anyway Carbo will jiggle the lines allnight long IF we don't score the first goal.

I think think this year is a lot like last year except the fact that nobody outshines. It would be a good year to deal a first rounder in a package. In the LHJMQ(Québec) if Esposito is the main deal he does not impress me at all. Anyway we have some depht long term.

For Perezhogin you're not wrong it just didn't happen yet. For Plekanek you get a bag of pucks. Not that he's not good 2 way it's just that there is a big influence in the drafting order. Perezhogin was a first round choice no resuls yet but has prooved he can play in the NHL. He has some value. Plekanek has been drafted 3third round and no results yet. I think he will be a depth player for the remaining of the year and will not be offered a contract next year with Lapierre, Grabovski and Chipchura coming.

Higgins made his mea culpa in the papers this morning. He is the current-future leader of this team. I expect a good game, there are some great players on the Atlanta side. So Markov will have to be the best player on the ice. And if the habs could find their skates back i think there is two points coming.

My problem with Bouillon contract is that they knew his knee needed operation, or if they didn't knew then Bouillon cheap shot the organization. Knowing that they gave him three years. It is the kind Since he is back i don't see in him what we saw in the past, there was rumors that he needed a second ioperation on the knee before he came back. His skating is less than explosive than it was. And for big hits i didn't see that from him since 15 games or so, he's maybe hurt or he plays not to make mistake like others. Not what i expect from him at all.

It's not a bad decision it's just a fill in at a high price 1.9 million. I use to like Johnson play but now he reminds me too much of Sundtrom/Bulis kind of player. He got 5 pts in the last 23 games and does not burry the chances he has.

Coaching staff is getting a C minus for me. I think that they are still adjusting, they are all rookies at their position as coaches. For the coaches i would say the strenght is leadership and the weakness is player positionning on the ice. They are getting a lot of penalties because they are out of position. The forwards are not making themselves easy aiming to pass. There is no transition plan everybody seems to panic in the D Zone. And Chris there is one group not mentionned yet. Management (General Manager) C- Three good decisions have been made that needed to be taken. Latendresse from Junior to NHL, Zednik out of town and Streit for ywo more years. Except that there is the trade of Ribeiro-Ninimaa, acquisition of Mike Johnson, acquisition of free agent Samsonov, long term contract to Bouillon and a center against Théodore last year.

I could see him as a lock with the team bringing top speed on the wings or at center. We definenitaly need some speed.

Patience is a luxury we had when the team was winning. Now that we lost a few patience is gone and we want some offensive contribution from big bucks players. And Samsonov is not producing on PP at 3.5 million. The only way we can get rid of him is pick up some heavy cost garbages from other teams.

If he plays like that all the time Grabovski gonna take Plek place on the second line. He is looking bigger than i expected and dribbled the puck well... he doesn't get rid of the puck like most of our players do. I like it...

Higgins been shitty for the last few games, so does all the team. They look like they are gonna go take a s*** between the 1 and 2 period...i surely hope the lockerroom pee line up is not as bad as the line up at the bell center... Enought of this bullshit...let's play some hockey.

This game was worse than i was expecting. You can't have too many guys with heart on a team but thre's got to be some talent too. It is time to bring back Lapierre to center the fourth line, he will be so mad to have been left out so long that he will be all over the place. Bégin will play with a broken back if they let him, that will show heart. These guys can inspire more dedication from players who's lacking some recently.

Do not underestimate Washington. They have a chance to approach the 8th seed and they surely not want to move back beyond .500 currently 16-17-7. In fact all those teams between Rags, Toronto, Boston, Isles, Pittsburg, Washington and Tampa are already fighting for playoff spot whit a knife between teeth. While Montreal is accumulating points and most important are growing pride of what they did and what they are able to do. We're gonna win but it's gonna be a close one.

Ovechkin is shooting a lot !! 214 sh in 40 games !! That is more shots than our two top forwards together Kovalev and Ryder. Ryder should shoot more so do Samsonov if they want more goals.
