  1. I think nicknames are good for teenage in high school. When you're doing what you really dream of you want to make a name for yourself. Especially in Montreal when i hear those sissy names like Pleky, Sammy, Kovy, Kosty, Dandy etc etc. Just imagine the guy having a bad day and he's just mad and want to get some frustration out comes back at the bench and someone says good hit Lappy...too wuss...
  2. I meant a rising star that can center a line for our rising star to produce. Every Brett Hull need his Adam Oates... Gilbert Brule to Latendresse he scores his 50th goal of the season...first habs since 1989-90...it only took 20 years.
  3. Confidence is coming back for Samsonov. If he produces in streaks like he's done all carreer long he should be going for a 30 games point streak...
  4. Great energy and control. And there is the right handed center that we were waiting for.
  5. It will take some time but fan will come back. They just need to get rid of soft players and get some hard workers. IMO Sedins,Naslund,Salo,Bulis, Morisson etc. Maybe 5-6 years...
  6. Who do you think took the decision to bring up Lapierre ?? Gauthier or Carbo ??
  7. At this point of the season, the guys don't need to play hurt. Bégin as cracked ribs Lapierre can play for a while. Bouillon knee is sore, play Ninimaa for a few bucks worth. Kovalev as a lower body injury!! Try Perezhogin on second line. This is a long season, it's not even half yet so it's time to build a depth for later in the season.
  8. 2003-04 CSKA Moscow Russia 11 0 1 1 2 -- -- -- -- -- 2004-05 Hamilton Bulldogs AHL 66 12 11 23 24 3 0 0 0 0 2005-06 Hamilton Bulldogs AHL 64 18 29 47 76 -- -- -- -- -- 2005-06 Montreal Canadiens NHL 12 2 1 3 2 -- -- -- -- -- 2006-07 Montreal Canadiens* NHL 4 0 0 0 0 2006-07 Hamilton Bulldogs AHL 21 7 13 20 19 For some reasons that are years 2004-2005, 2005-2006 and 2006-2007. He almost made the cut but a 19 year old named Guillaume Latendresse was more valuable to the team.
  9. Wow near a point a game in the AHL in his third year. I am so impressed. He is not 19 years old anymore he's turning 22 and his last stunt in Montreal he was given the chance to produce and he didn't. And Carbo said he showed no passion. So good if he is getting more points maybe well have better value for his 800 000$ lazy ass.
  10. We are still missing a rising star. They all look good but no Brule good...
  11. The Bruins are not to take lightly they have been pretty good since Adolf Lewis as clearly took command of the team. They are just 2 points behind Ottawa and Toronto with 4 games in hand. Savard and Murray are acumulating points. Bergeron is alway a threat to watch. Chara looked chaky lately but Thomas is doing rellay great.
  12. Funny how last week Ottawa looked so confident and how they completely fall apart after that. The main reason is no leadership on the ice.
  13. I am one of the many who call him a bust...in MTL. I believe he could show the same numbers in NHL with a team like Chicago, St-Louis, Florida or anywere that he can play with the first two lines. The day that the Habs signed Samsonov for two years was the day that the Habs staff called him a bust in MTL leaving him no room in the offensive lines.
  14. I could live with two similar players, Higgins and Parise in the same team.
  15. Kots was a gambling and we lost. So move on and trade him if he can succed elsewhere good for him. Draft year 2003. Overall 10th Kots 11 Jeff Carter 14 Brent Seabrook 16 Steeve Bernier 17 Zach Parise!!! 19 Getzlaf 23 Kesler 28 Perry !! Just imagine if we had Zach Parise in our team !! That year i was sure that Mtl was to choose Parise.
  16. That game is going to be a real test, how good are we?
  17. Kovalev and Samsonov have proved since 28 games that there is no chemistry between them. Koivu is no wizard and does not deserve to play with heartless players. True that Kovalev can replace Ryder and Higgins take back is place from Latendresse.
  18. I would take Morrisson one on one for Samsonov anyday.
  19. Chipchura chipping in two in a winning cause, very interesting. That will be very difficult to choose between who's gonna get the next call up.
  20. I do not think that Kovalev knee is such a back shape, trainers and medical staff would never let him play with an injury that needs surgery. I am pretty sure he has a bruise knee that need to be rested. And thats what he is doing actually resting it while playing.
  21. Too bad that it's only in march because lots of players will be moved by then. Lapierre, Grabovski,Halak and Milroy will be with the big club. Kots will have been traded.
  22. It would have been a better decision to send Markov in MTL right after New-Jersey game to give him a 3 day rest instead of keeping him with the team and risking other players catch his flu. We need him more on Saturday night against the best team in the league than caughing in the bus in Long Island.
  23. I really wish that Carbo doesn't play him on PK for a while, that is the most demanding effort for the ankle to constantly turn around to cut passes. A good way to bring him back would be alike Dandenault give him 4th line duties for 2-3 games to get back in game shape. After that PP time and last thing PK. I know he scored three goals in PK and stuff but the ankle is a long term pain even when it's healed.
  24. Aebisher is gonna shine tonight, Koivu and Latendresse are on a hot streak. Go Habs Go
  25. Very good article, did someone heard what Guy Lafleur said about the lack of physic action in the first period against Boston ?? We should have a Guy Lafleur Corner at RDS instead of the Jacques Demers crap. That would rock.
