  1. Hopefully the training room will offer excercise machines that work on enthusiasm, work ethic, or how about energy to play more then 20 mins a game. How about a therapist that speaks russian, ....the truth is with the salary cap the Habs don't know what to do with all the extra money.......write off anyone? They should have made it seat more then 22 000 people and just start playing there. Or selling out all the practices......
  2. I hate this shit. Even though I hope it's bullshit Whenever this crap starts you know there is some truth. It came from somewhere. That sucks....
  3. If the draft isn't deep and we seem covered for a few years I say trade for immediate help.It might seem dumb on the surface but other teams in a different mode then the habs might give up a decent player for those 1st rounders we have. What's better? Help right now or an average 1st round pick that most likely won't pan out. I say give it up or give them both up and hope we pick a dark horse in the later rounds......
  4. I think we'll see some trading at the draft table from Gainey. Is it possible that Gainey may sign Souray based on conversations with another GM. What I'm saying is......... Gainey signs Souray for 6 million, which he agrees on with Washingtons GM for example or Chicago. Then he trades Souray to Washingotn or Chicago for there first round pick. Then we draft Kane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chicago ...???? maby....but I do read on Spectors' site Washington is offering they're fifth pick to all teams. Is this type of thing legal in the NHL. If we take Washington's stance on not rebuilding and trying to win a cup I think we can afford to give up our 1st round picks for some decent players and not be screwed in the future. We are good for the next few years if a championship team is what we are building.
  5. Saks always was supposed to have the surgery but wanted to play through it untill the end of this season. It really isn't new news. This was mentioned in September training camp. It's so funny he had a career season with a handicap so to speak. I hope Gainey brings in a first line center because Saku as a second line center would probably put up more points and have more room to do his thing. So many people and fans on this forum really bag on him and I think they are completely crazy. Last year the Huricanes coach said they didn't really care about Kovalev it was Saku they worried about during the play-offs and I'll bet a million dollars that if we signed Gretzky , Leimeux and Crosby that at some point Saku would end up being on the first line anyway. It's just the way he plays.....he demands it. Kind of like Markov on defense. No crazy ass points but always a threat in many different ways we don't see but the guys on the ice do. So please stop the bullshit talk of getting rid of Saku and let's fill these threads with pleads to gainey of bringing in a center to help our great captain so he can win a cup as the longest serving captain in the history of the Montreal Canadiens.
  6. I guess Bettman gets his way....I don't know if I'll follow anything now. Boston, Montreal, and Toronto out? What a bummer ....mostly our Habs. Geez........ sell-outs all year long for years and this is what we get for our hard earned cash and passion for our team. NO PLAY-OFFS, a bunch of ungreatfull players and a bunch more that don't even want to come and play in montreal. NICE!!!! Well at least I won't be wasting anymore time watching and thinking about games for the next few months. See you September everyone .........
  7. Sign and trade. Gainey won't let him go for nothing......I'm sure of that. You say it like I'm crazy. It happens a lot. Souray respects Gainey and Gainey respects him. Something will be worked out. You'll see.
  8. Well, can't say we would have won the cup but expierience for the kids would have been cool. Refs f&*ked us, but in all honesty this team wasn't going far that's for sure. The leafs aren't either....so who cares. One thing that needs to happen is Gainey this summer will trade Souray, Perez and one of our higher 1st round picks so we can Nab Kane in the draft. After that we can develop into a stanley cup team from the inside. I have faith in the Future, but man this really blows. Mostly because hte Leafs ended it. Go Islanders Go
  9. Home team gets the last line chamge. They probably got caught. Home ice advantage...It happens.
  10. O.K Call me crazy but this is what I think. Carbo likes to start the team slow for a few reasons. 1. Keep shots to the outside and conserve energy. 2. Get a grip on the other teams game plan and don't give away ours. Simply ...they don't play the real game plan for the first period. 3. Evaluate the opposition during intermission and in the second period unleash desperate speed with a definite plan to beat the opposing teams game and knock them out while they are already tiring out. Kind of like chess and boxing at the same time. This plan could backfire but just watch this teams legs get going almost at the drop of the puck in the second.
  11. F......U......C...K...I........I....N...............EH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I Love Koivu!!!!!!!!!!
  12. I can't decide who I want to win. The leafs I hate but they are playing some good old desperate hockey as our beloved Habs are as well. This is my favorite kind of hockey. Last year we fuc$ed them and I don;t want a pay back this year. Go rangers go!!!!!.......I think
