  1. I would have preferred Anderson being sent down to Laval two months ago, and given Lias Andersson a look instead.
  2. It’s easier said than done to get a guy like Panarin to sign. When he went to the Rangers wasn’t his choice either NY or Florida, but he really wanted to go to the Rangers. Can’t see us having that kind of advantage where a big name UFA is available AND we are his first choice.
  3. Who knows though. He could be looking at college forwards drafted by other teams, that they move for one of our young D.
  4. 100% agree. On Anderson. A solid no to Pezatta. Let Pezatta be the extra guy that replaces one of the three Bergevin anchors.
  5. Anderson cannot play with anyone. I pretty sure the scouting report from his kindergarten report card said “does not play well with others”. I think we create a Bergevin cap hell or cap anchor line with Anderson-Dvorak-Gallagher, rather than kill any offensive potential that Evans may have - because he is a guy who works hard and does actually create offense.
  6. I’d rather waste Anderson Gallagher with Dvorak and have Roy and Armia with Evans. We can calm the A-D-G the Bergevin cap anchor line!
  7. I was hoping Roy to continue to show if he can be a viable 2nd line option with Dach. But looks like he is gone as for the year as well😳
  8. If we don’t win the lottery and can pick Celebrini, my top two choices are Demidov and Parekh. From the guys that have decent size, from an elite skill perspective, they look to be the best options and both look like the type of players that can take over a game and win it on their own.
  9. It was a painful night. First ever game live for my son. Stupid flames had an 80’s theme night where they had old players and kept showing highlights during the intermission of their one and only 89’ cup win. anyways, it was close until the second period, than the flames pulled ahead, habs battled back and than idiotic refereeing put it way. some thoughts at seeing most of the young players live for the first time and being able to just follow them: -top line is going to be something special, but they have to stop trying to setup the perfect pass all the time and shoot more. -Slafkovsky is a big dude and I’m hoping he can be a Leclair type force - but I think he can also become a much more skilled player that generates more offence on his own than Leclair did. -Caufield’s shot is still off. I know he scored of a deaflybshot tonight. But his One timer isn’t there. Too many times tonight, he just didn’t have enough zip on his shot. Hopefully he is fully recovered by next training camp. -Harris just isn’t physical enough and doesn’t bring the offence you’d want from a non-physical dman. May be a bad night, but was really disappointed in him and how easily he was pushed around. -Suzuki can really slow down the game. There were times the Habs were running around like chickens with their heads off, and Suzuki got the puck ragged it around until everyone settled down. He will score 80+ points next year. -as with the top line, this team needs to shoot more - way too many cute passes and too many cross ice pass attempts - particularly too Caufield. Can’t keep doing that when you have to make those passes through traffic. -Evans effort level surprised me. He is an also a very good stick handler. He’s also being wasted between the two Bergevin two worst remaining long term deals. Anderson and Gallagher are useless. Garbage play by both. Anderson hit a post, but otherwise was useless. Can we just buy them out this year??? I know it’s going to cost a lot, but may as well get them out of the lineup and reduce their cap hit two years from now, when we hope to be competitive. -Roy is a smart player. Hoped to se more offensively. But you could see the high hockey IQ Jennie was on the ice - with and without the puck. -we need someone from the young D to step up. Wasn’t really impressed by anyone tonight. Was hoping to see more and better from Guhle, wifi and Struble, and like I said earlier, was surprised how disappointed I was in Harris.. And the young D also need to start shooting more. Savard was shooting, but the young guys during the first half were just not getting the puck on the net hen there was traffic in front. I wish this game was a few w escalate and maybe I could have seen Hutson live. -Premieau flops around and is out of position. A LOT!! He.needs to work on his positioning and not take himself out of the play as much. anyways, this was really the only game I wanted them to win for the rest of the years hopefully they lose the rest, but the young guys get a ton of points.
  10. I think a big difference than earlier this year, is that Matheson is finally passing to Slafkovsky. Before he would be defaulting to Caufield and Suzuki, and seemed to be avoiding Slafkovsky.
  11. If we don’t get Celebrini, I think my two two choices regardless of where we draft are Dadinov and Parakh. Both look like players that can totally take over a game. That’s something we lacked outside of the goal position since Lafleur. Incidentally, I will be in the lower bowl with my son wearing my Lafleur jersey at the Montreal-Calgary game on Saterday😁. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a Montreal game!
  12. Umm, why wouldn’t just wait until August instead and retain control of his destiny??
  13. 100% agree. Why the hell would we want to take a chance at him coming back right now!! Dvorak - who cares. Hopefully we can dump him in the offseason anyways - although I won’t hold my breath waiting for it to happen.
  14. When is the earliest Hutson and Reinbacher can come over? Can either also be loaned to Laval?
  15. 100% agree! Will Ali be rooting for the panthers to suck next year!
  16. We may also need one of Caufield/Slafkovsky to play with Dach.
  17. Well, I did pick Suzuki to get 87 points in our annual prediction contest, so I’m high on him. Having said that, I still think that if he can stay healthy and find consistency, Dach may become our #1 centre. It would really be something to have to 85 point+ centres.
  18. My order of preference is as follows: 1)Celebrini 2)Demidov 3)Lindstrom 4)Parekh 5)Silayev We aren’t getting the top three unless we win the draft. And we we are picking late for Levshhnov. Is take BPA, rather than position and Paekh looks like a Coffey or dman that will be real special. Man already screwed the pooch not taking Hughes (or at least Tkachuk), wouldn’t want to pass on Parekh if he is available. This is a D heavy draft, and last year was a forward heavy draft. I really wished we had taken Michkov or Leonard last year!
  19. If we don’t get lottery luck to get that three top forwards, I want Parekh.
  20. IMO it’s not the point difference as much as an ability to take over a game. There were some season in the 80’s, Bernie Federko had more points than Trottier, but who would you rather have? Bossy typically only had 10-15 more points than Federko. But he was much more of a game breaker than Federko ever was. There’s a difference between a guy who will get his points and a guy who can win it on his own. Pattersson is among the latter.
  21. Apple “auto-correct” for friggin. Reggie was put in a job that was over his head. That decision was Corey. Tremblay though is the ass wipe who chased Roy and Turgeon out of town. If it was up to me, Neither of those two, or MB/MT should be allowed in the bell centre. four guys who out their egos above the team.
  22. Patterson is a guy that can take over a game. I’d say his a notch below McDavid and McKinnon. It say Suzuki is two below Pattersson. Nothing wrong with that though - Suzuk is the best centre we’ve had since Koivu. If Dach can be the 1a or 1b with Suzuki we should be good at centre with Beck hopefully as a solid #3. That’s the best we’ve been at the position since the unholy trio of Corey-Tremblay-Houle turned us into the geiggon Harrold Ballard leafs.
  23. Given what Calgary got for Taney, I don’t see us getting a first.
