  1. Id like to see both. We need an other scorer and a healthy Dach to make sure we do have a viable second line. Id even be okay picking up someone that can help Sach progress and be productive, even if it’s only for two years and a longer term scorers is acquired.
  2. If we get a good offer for Armia if move him. He’s got one year left, so if we keep him not a big deal. Gives us a veteran on the bottom 6. I wanted Anderson moved last year when he had a hot spell, but everyone goes gaga over his size and speed, despite major shortcomings- zero consistency or hockey sense and really an inability to gel and play well with anyone - let alone being able to make others around him better!
  3. Sat out their captain and apparently didn’t have a discussion with Couturier before he sat him.
  4. Anderson, Gallagher, Dvorak. We have a complete overpaid 4th line.
  5. If we can’t get the top three forwards. Parekh is the guy I’d want. He looks to be another Makar/Hughes - potentially even better.
  6. Well as much as I hate losing to the leafs not a bad result. Suzuki gets two more points - still a chance at 80. Caufield gets a goal - hopefully goes on a tear in the remaining games to get to 30. Not likely, but if he goes on the type of tear like last year, it’s not impossible. would have been nice if the Sens won.
  7. Good point out quite a few LD guys (other than wifi) came through the college system. Wonder if that’s an area we should look at during the draft - using 3rd/4th round picks on middle D potential RD that are going to college? with Barron, I agree with the approach they are taking with him - better send him down when you can, rather than be forced to when he is waiver eligible.
  8. It seems kind of strange that all our young RD prospects are in Laval (until Barron’s emergency call up) - particularly with the premium placed on RD. Reinbacher obviously would be expected to be in Laval, but it seems like the LD prospects all seem to have progressed faster than Barron and Mailloux and haven’t had to spend as much time in the minors. I don’t recall any of our young LD prospects spend as much time in Laval. Guhle, Harris, Struble, and Wifi all were picked up to the big club a lot faster. Not trying to make any point - just an observation. Hopefully one of them progresses to the NHL level next year.
  9. Both had cracked riibs. The difference was the B’s made it more public when they were knocked out, while Koivu didn’t say anything and it didn’t come out until well after the playoffs. not much different than the story about Gainey playing with TWO separated shoulders in the playoffs. Difference between players like Koivu and Gainey was that they never used their injuries as an excuse.
  10. I'm hoping with get lottery luck and get one of the two 3 forwards, but if we don't get them, the D i'd want to pick up is Parekh.
  11. Yes. That is what I meant. I do think we make another move at the draft for another forward. I do hope the go with the BPA with our first pick though, rather than draft by need. If the top 2-3 forwards are gone (and I'm including Celebrini), and Parekh is available, I'd go after him. He looks a lot like Hughes/Makar. And a one two punch where we can roll out Hutson (assuming he becomes the type of guy he has been up to now) and Parekh, would go along ways in generating offence.
  12. Sorry brain fart. Meant to say we package our our pick and D prospects for front line forwards. We need some bonafide wingers for Dach.
  13. I think it’s more likely we package out the first and D prospects for help on the blue line. Ideally, I’d love to see us win the lottery AND move up for another top 10 pick, but than I’ve always been told I’m greedy😁
  14. I was off the site for almost a week, so been getting caught on the conversations.
  15. But it is a good place to bury useless bums like Josh Anderson!
  16. We are trying to build an NHL team - that’s the ultimate goal. I isn’t give a rats ass if we win the Calder Cup in Laval very year but don’t win the Stanley cup. I hated the rush and no development model under Bergevin - I don’t think other than Lekhonan there is not a player he drafted that he was also successful in developing into a good NHL player - notice I didn’t use the word elite. Next is Evans as a decent NHL player. Therrien developed no one. I can’t really remember Julien being all that successful either as far as developing a young player. The AHL team was not only shit, but it wasn’t even used for development. Mailloux has been in Laval all year because that’s where he belongs. Ditto with Barron being sent down. Wifi as sent down to refine his game, and came Back a better player. Armia was garbage and Laval was used as a wake up call. Roy deserved to be promoted. He has shown he is an NHL player. The AHL is to prepare players for the NHL. If we win - great - but that’s a bonus and nice to have. It’s not the end goal. guys that needed to be sent down have been. Others like Guhle have shown they are NHL players. He is not Mete - who had no business being in the NHL - let alone on the first pairing. The only player I think belongs in Laval and isn’t is Josh friggin useless Anderson. Personally, even though I think that’s where he belongs and should have been there three months ago, I think he’d probably hurt Laval rather than help it. If he isn’t traded over the summer (highly unlikely unless we gave up major picks, pick up 50%, and have another team pickup another 25%), I hope his useless ass is buried in Laval. Feel free to buy a Josh Anderson Laval jersey in anticipation! Hell, the only mistake they probably made this year is not having Josh Anderson and Lia’s Andersson swap roles!
  17. I would have preferred Anderson being sent down to Laval two months ago, and given Lias Andersson a look instead.
  18. It’s easier said than done to get a guy like Panarin to sign. When he went to the Rangers wasn’t his choice either NY or Florida, but he really wanted to go to the Rangers. Can’t see us having that kind of advantage where a big name UFA is available AND we are his first choice.
  19. Who knows though. He could be looking at college forwards drafted by other teams, that they move for one of our young D.
  20. 100% agree. On Anderson. A solid no to Pezatta. Let Pezatta be the extra guy that replaces one of the three Bergevin anchors.
  21. Anderson cannot play with anyone. I pretty sure the scouting report from his kindergarten report card said “does not play well with others”. I think we create a Bergevin cap hell or cap anchor line with Anderson-Dvorak-Gallagher, rather than kill any offensive potential that Evans may have - because he is a guy who works hard and does actually create offense.
  22. I’d rather waste Anderson Gallagher with Dvorak and have Roy and Armia with Evans. We can calm the A-D-G the Bergevin cap anchor line!
  23. I was hoping Roy to continue to show if he can be a viable 2nd line option with Dach. But looks like he is gone as for the year as well😳
  24. If we don’t win the lottery and can pick Celebrini, my top two choices are Demidov and Parekh. From the guys that have decent size, from an elite skill perspective, they look to be the best options and both look like the type of players that can take over a game and win it on their own.
