Oh, I wasnt predicting a shutout. (I may have said "SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT" but that was not a prediction, it was just a cheer for Huet). I think we have a good chance of winning tonight, and thats all that matters. 1-0 or 7-6 , its the wins that count... Huet will tell you the same thing.

Nah, saying shutout isnt a jinx for Huet. He's not like other goalies, nothing phases him, he's always calm. I've watched all 7 Huet shutout games, and everytime he's closing in on a shutout I start thinking about it, and talking about it.... But he always gets it anyways. SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT! GO HUET!

hahaha, oh that brings me back. Anyways, I'll be there. It would be fun/interesting (maybe scary. lol) to meet some of you guys. This is sort of a last minute thing, so I dont expect a big crowd. Koivu actually had 71 points in 02-03, so he's not going to set any new career bests this season (unless he goes points crazy in the last 10 games) And how the hell did Komisarek manage 4 points last season? lol. I only remember him getting one, two at most. Komisarek is probably my favourite player on the team, but man is he offensively cautious (at least he's been taking more chances lately, nice to see him get some confidence)

Komisarek got 2+5+10 (2 for roughing, along with Goddard... 5 for fighting, and a 10 minute misconduct). Good thing Gainey dressed 7 D's tonight... Great PK'ing by the habs, although the Isles PP was awful. (btw: NJ is up 1-0 on Ottawa, damnit)

Nice to see Kovalev get 20 goals. He's having a good season (keep in mind he was injured for a part of it). Also... Higgins is awesome. He's one of the few habs who shows up every game with a consistant effort, even when he's not scoring he's a guy who's useful to the team in many other ways. Love Higgins, hope he gets 20 this year. Souray's been terrible tonight, he usually plays well against the pens (remember his monster game vs them in 03-04?). The game isnt over yet, habs need to get focused for the 3rd.

I think you guys are really overanalysing this whole goalie situation. The fact is, we need to score goals to win games! Thats the problem with our team. (we're off to a good start tonight with 3) Huet will be in nets next game no doubt. Btw: Anyone following the Sens/Sabres game? Its 2-0 Sens, but thats not the amazing thing... the shots are 22-5 Ottawa after 1 period. haha

I just have to say, that whoever said that the habs have trouble scoring was obviously wrong. Ribeiro is a natural. (3 kids already!? ) Congrats to Mike!

Whats that supposed to mean? Its not a competition? Actually I thought he was pretty calm, he just needs to work on some things with Melanson. Aebischer has been known to make alot of spectacular saves, but many have been because he was out of position in the first place. He's a good goalie, with lots of skill, hopefully Melanson can help him.

The good news: Thats the last game we play versus Carolina this season. They sweep the season series and end up outscoring us something like 25-9 over those 4 games. Ouch The bad news: We might end up playing Carolina in the playoffs.... The worse news: ... if we even make the playoffs Another shit game for Koivu, I hate to single him out (since the whole team was pretty much crap tonight, aside from the goalie) but he is the captain for the reason, he's supposed to be the leader, but how many straight bad games has Koivu played now? I lost track counting. Its unacceptable. What are you talking about? Aebischer was fantastic tonight. He had no chance on basically any of the goals, in fact he held us in the game up until the 3rd period when the habs completely fell apart and started taking dumb penalties.

Yuck... The habs are making too many mistakes tonight, and when you play a team like Carolina they are going to make you pay for your mistakes. We're simply being outplayed by a better team. We're in a tough spot right now, we're down 2-0 to Carolina after 2 periods. No, the game isnt over... But we're going to need to play really well and get a few bounces if we even hope of getting a point out of this one. Remember, Carolina is first in the east for a reason. Its a shame, cause Aebischer is playing really well in his habs debut tonight, all for nothing it seems.

Sounds like the habs are going to get Bertuzzi... according to a few online sources (not just named Eklund either)

Really good smart move by the Nucks in getting Mike Noronen. Noronen is really underrated and overlooked in Buffalo since he's the 3rd guy, sure he's been average in his starts this year, but he's really in a tough spot, hardly playing any games, its hard to be consistant.
