That's a good idea, I would move Briere from the wing. DD aside, it's nice to lose your captain and be able to move Prust into the third line, instead of playing Moen or Darche in the top line. I went to the Panthers v Penguins last night, it was nice to see JMs system in place, allowing 6 goals from the 30th place team, and handicapping the offense. Cathartic game, I went to be entertained, and I was, however, seeing Gomez and Martin in the same building reminded me of seeing an ex girlfriend at the grocery store.

The nhl badly needs challenges. The officiating has been completely pathetic this series yet again. I'm getting sick of saying that.

This is one of the worst officiated games i've ever seen in my life.

It seemed like we were killing penalties all period leading to the unbalanced ice time.
So Gabriel Dumont was part of the starting lineup for his playoff debut...he then played 1 shift the rest of the period. Did he get hurt or is his role that minor tonight? If so, they'd have been better off dressing Drewiske as an extra D.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Plekanec played 9 minutes (a 27 minute pace). That's an awful lot for a forward.

I got the same sickening feeling yesterday seeing Eller laying face down motionless as I did with the patches hit from Chara.
I think either hitting needs to be completely tamed or full cages need to be worn by players. One day some poor player is not gonna get up. Sorry if people don't agree, but fighting and big hits need to be taken out of the game. Other wise the "hockey play" excuse will always be there.
What happened to Crosby is what you call a hockey play gone bad, and still it is hard to watch.
Anyways Go habs Go...........Lets get one for Larry!
Price doesn't have to be great, just needs to make the saves he should. If he can't Budaj deserves a chance.

Maybe for whatever reason the Cole trade messed with Price's head a bit, not saying its a excuse. It's more of a observation, as that is when his game slipped a bit.

As it pertains to Eller and Desharnais, I think the question is which one will be converted to wing, right now it looks like it will be Eller, but both are too good to play 4th line minutes.

Don't get me wrong guys winning is what its all about. I just think that if Cunneyworth had a healthy line up, his up tempo game would provide many wins, and also be exciting to watch. In my other post I just meant that if where gonna loose like we have all year, at least its exciting. I had no problem with JM's system when it was working, the problem is he didnt adjust. Trapping a healthy Pittsburgh or the 2010 Caps makes sense cause your not gonna out score them, but trapping against Toronto and Carolina...etc made and makes no sense. I would prefer to win 6-5 every game, to hell with stats.. Seriously though Price is a good goalie, and if you can on average score 3 goals a game, your gonna win 90% of those games.

Win or lose, Cunneyworth's coaching at least makes the games entertaining to watch. I hope we keep him...Boucher as an assistant would be great though.

I think we should start a movement to not allow this team to wear the traditional habs uniform and colors as they are a disgrace to it. So much potential and so little effort. Maybe the Montreal Rockies or Montreal Barons would be better fitting, and some nice pink frilly jerseys.
Wake the hell up, preseason is long over!

Sadly Crawford is probably the best fit for now. Hartley is too much like Keenan and everyone else is too inexperienced. Maybe Cunneyworth will do a good job, but sadly rookie nhl coaches don't generally do good here.
I would be doing anything to get Roy as a assistant here for now, cause if we do end up hiring a young rookie coach, he more then exceeds requirements. Also that would be huge for Price.

If Tremblay is even interviewed, for the position my 24 years of religously watching the Habs will be done. He made stop watching for a whole season last time he was hear.

If we do in fact keep the bi-lingual rule, the only coach I would want to bring in is Patrick Roy. If we recycle one of the losers that has already been fired by us, we will be missing JM by the end of next year.

I agree that perhaps, JM has run his course, but given our limitations on hiring who is a viable replacement, without recycling someone. Patrick Roy is the only one I can think of?

I love the seat tribute!
I cant believe how much someone I never met has had such an impact on me directly, even more so today. He inspires you as a habs fan that, class and sportsmanship are truly above records and stats.
