  1. Houle and Tremblay Koivu's eye Koivu's knee Zednik's jaw Any Markov injury
  2. Yeah I'd say DD earned the spot, if he faulters simply swap him and Eller. Ak46 had chemistry with Eller last year.
  3. I'd like to see something like this. Patches-DD-AK46 Eller-Pleky-Gio Pulashaj-Gomer-Cole Moen-Engqvist-Darche When Cammy comes back... Patches-DD-AK46 Cammy-Pleky-Gio Eller-Gomer-Cole Moen-Engqvist-Darche Maybe swap Cammy and Eller, although I want to see Eller back at C, I'm not sure which the best line would be for him.
  4. I think the only way to make Gomer less predictable is too break up him and Gio, cause that is what's so predictable.
  5. Same situation, and hoping for a similar outcome.
  6. Agreed, but it's not even a tenth of annoying as the Crosby stuff.
  7. I think the problem was that they had to reach the cal floor so the overpaid, many teams did that this off season with the increase in salary cap. I do agree that the wiz would not be worth his salary unless it was a 1 year deal. And still that's pushing it.
  8. Just an observation, I notice that when price is on and confident, he plays a little deeper in the the net, therefore requiring smaller movements, but when hes off he comes out too much and moves eratically, and because he's a big boy the five hole is exposed with the bigger movements. By no means am I criticizing him I know how dominant he is when he's on his game. If I think about the Winnipeg game he was scary good, and he was barely moving. In the last 2 he was average, but moving too much. Either way I know he's gonna bounce back and pop out a couple of shut outs in the next few weeks, but being an ex goalie, I notice the little things in his game. On a different note, I'll do the odd GDT here and there, it won't be as good as Brian's or Bar's, but simple like these.
  9. To me it's that his system is difficult to sustain. The big test is to see us with a fully healthy roster, cause the last time we had that we were in the conference finals. And have never been healthy since then. I think when Markov returns, we'll be able to play more offensively, cause the first pass is so important, which was and hopefully still is brilliant my him. Pk will have less pressure to be the best player most nights. Jm's first year here wasnt this bad because we were healthy. Last year he got the most he could have out of a team missing several good players. That is why I think Bylsma is a good coach, cause he did the same last year with a depleted group.
  10. I agree with you CC, when I started this thread, it was more of a opinion creative thing which morphed into JM diss. As far as coach's go.........maybe Tortorella, Bylsma, Babcock could probably do better, but they will have their own negatives, like with everything in life there is the yin-yang philosophy, equal good and bad. The other funny thing I here is that JM hates french players, because some haven't worked out in Montreal, but that is more in my circle of friends, dont think I ever heard it on here B4.
  11. Jm was the best available considering our limitations. I just think his strategies our more suited for playoff games. In the reg season, it seems to exhausting to play this way all year. That is why we look really good or really flat. Also non stop injuries, way too many penalties. These are the things I blame on Jm. I do think we can win a cup with him, we just need to play in a way where we have gas in the tank for the playoffs, then go in shut down shot block mode, but thewre is no way we can sustain that system for 82+ games. This thread is getting off track though, every coach will have good and bad, our talen pool for coach's is just way too thin. Im happy to see Pleks off the point, not happy to see Moen on the first, and Palushaj on the 4th. Everything else doesnt seem that bad, but I really believe its time to break up Gomer and Gio, its just to predictable.
  12. I'm not doubting the effectiveness of shot blocking, I'm just saying it's not for everyone. And just how it's predictable to get past the D if there not blocking. It's equally predictable. If u know there gonna block. Many of our goals allowed price is screened by his own teammate. Also predictable. But like CC said the results are their.
  13. Yeah I agree that we don't have many options for coach, and I sure don't want another rookie coach. That was a decade wasted. I just hop Jm adjusts and adapts. Im also getting sick of the shot blocking, Price is a good goalie. And plays better with a higher workload, and good view of the puck. Shot blocking should be primarily for the Pk. I don't wanna see Markov blocking shots or PK. Gill and Gorges are good at it, and that's enough. Shot blocking injuries bother me cause there kind of pointless. Price is our shot blocker.
  14. Totally agree. I always enjoy columns or interviews with Dryden, and Im not much of a book reader, but I could not put this one down. Its so honest and descriptive, insightful, intelligent. A great book by a great man.
  15. Agreed, and I think he gives us the option to roll 4 lines more often, and take some Pk time off of top lines.
  16. I think Engqvist is ideal for fourth line duties, as long as we roll 4 lines most of the time. I also think its time to break up Gomez and Gio, that was actually what got me thinking about our lines in the first place to start this thread. Gomez needs to get away from top D. And Gio looks like he could use a change up as well. Especially now that we have big bodies who can play on the top lines. Darche needs to get back to where he was last year, or he will be the odd man out when White returns. I have never really complained about JM, cause the results where there, but so far (I know its early) I haven't agreed with much SO FAR. Habs29 I just recently got that Dryden book, and what a excellent read. Highly recommended.
  17. Which line combinations do you guys think we should use with the current roster? Patches-Pleks-Gio Palushaj-Eller*(1)-AK46*(2) DD*(1)-Gomez--Cole*(2) Moen-Engqvist-Darche (*interchangeable) Gorges-PK Gill-Diaz Emelin-Weber With Eller back, I think when Cammy returns we should send down Engqvist, and keep Pulashaj. Spacek should rotate with Emelin upon his return, also down the road, when we get D reinforcements, I'd like to see Gill play less and keep him for the playoffs. Suggestions?
  18. Hey guys, I installed the program, and filled out the app on the ehm site, do I just wait for a reply, or is there something else I need to know. Thanks
