  1. to me Latendresse and D'Agostini played fine, but like a previous poster said, Plekanec was the real star of the game in my book.
  2. Ben Maxwell and Gorges are doing well. D'Agostini and S Kostitsyn did well. Good prospects they just need to build up physically. My humble observation after 1 period...
  3. so i guess the next available game on NHL TV will be the game against the Sens..
  4. Yea Latendresse was simply horrible that game... to me a bégin lapierre kostopoulos could be a terrific 4th line...true energy line...
  5. I think he should get a spot on Hamilton play a few years there and he definitely has NHL potential.
  6. i'd like to see Kovy Plek Lahti S Kost Grabovsky K. Kost Kostopoulos Chipchura Locke Murray Ferland and Milroy Markov & Carle Gorges & Komi Streit & Archer
  7. i agree especially if we cannot get a good return for Huet, Halak or Danis immediately...in a profitable trade. However i think Gainey will trade Huet before the deadline if Price is solid at hamilton but then what kind of message would that send to halak if price is sent to hamilton while he's 2nd and whenever Price arrives he's 2nd again. You know in all fairness i think the coach and trainers and the Gm office will give a good chance to halak even if we all know Price is the future for the next decade. Partisan
  8. aye i was just wondering if he suddenly got better last 2 year because of thornton and playing with him on PP because before that trade between boston and sharks it looks like Marleau was a 50-55 pts achiever
  9. You know i dont know what's the big buzz around Patrick Marleau, he isnt that impressive...and giving our only 30 goal scorer since Pierre Turgeon and V. Damphouse isnt really an option unless we do an other trade for more offensive potential scorer...
  10. First cut tonight... http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/236834.html There should be a lot of cuts...keeping 45 players for the next 3 games.
  11. I personally prefer Bouillon to Dandenault any day. secondly i think we should put youngster with hamrlik as his experience needs to be shared...i'd like to see OByrne with him....depending on what kind of camps he has. I'm a bit confused about Gorges, he's still a young defensemen but how good will he exactly become? We arent hearing much about him at the moment...
  12. I like your offensive line a lot but i would definitely trade dandenault and keep bouillon personally...
  13. well A kost and S kost and Grabovsky could cause damage in 2 years for the canadians for sure... I see A Kost breakout year on a 2nd line paired with Plek and (Higgins or Latendresse)
  14. He can manage a good 40pts+-50pts especially if you pair him with Plekanec
  15. I think Plekanec is better than Smolinski in my mind unless he wants to have them both on the unit.
  16. Just to add to the debate... In a way i think having perhaps Milroy and/or Tom Kostopoulos instead of murray and downey is a big plus energy, defensive, speed and offensive wise. I expect Plekanec to keep on his tremendous development from second half of the season. I expect a decent season from latendresse and a good first(full) from Kostitsyn. as for lahti i dont know much about him but i rarely see euros comming in to make the team and not having a phase of adaptation, did he ever play north american hockey before? 17. Just as a question like that would you guys grant the maximum salary on a longterm deal offer to Ovechkin whenever he becomes UFA We are few years away IF Washington doesnt sign him before that but hey...I would do it in a hurry. God that guy in Montreal would be definitely a rock star and he'll be able to play with his buddy and training partner Mr Markov! Anyway to go back to Briere i agree with other posters, he is a damn good player but he isnt en establish superstar. I just imagine how much a establish superstar would ask....10 million a season ? 10 years contract? Partisan
  18. Seriously, Brisebois doesnt have a kick ass shot...he's a good passer tough on the PP, but my main question is who's loosing PP time in Brisebois place... Streit? would Brisebois be 2nd pp unit material? I surely hope so with Hamrlik and Markov. Also it completelys shut downs the fact that Gorges or O'Byrne makes the team unless a trade is done..
  19. You know as much as i agree that Ryder has flaws in his game, he's a born goal scorer still which is the hardest thing to do in the NHL. Reading the comments i hope we dont bitch Beauregard if he ever comes to make the team in a few years by saying well he's unidimensional.... Anyway i think Ryder wont spend much more years in Montreal but i'm asking myself is it Ryder that wants 1 year contract or the Canadiens? He surely could be a trade factor depending on how the season goes... I hope we do make the series, i feel a pessimism in many CH fans which is usually bad before the season even starts.
  20. In your mind, what's your biggest asset?
  21. I liked Johnson the only thing i didnt like about him is the fact that him and Bonk didnt appear to finish their checks ...ever.... But aside from that i cant say anything bad about him...Would he worth 2 mil a year? I dont think so...For less why not but then it comes down to hey do we let a kid from Hamilton play or we give this veteran an other shot... Sadly for Mike which i like btw, i would go for a young gun.
  22. Well i feel this guy wouldn't mind answering something like this. If he doesnt want to, so be it.
  23. Hi PK Subban, as you might know already there's a huge part of the montreal fans who are french. Do you plan on learning french in the future? Which forward was the most difficult to play against in the habs development camp?
  24. Seems From Matt Godbout interview on HabsWorld that McDonaugh nickname's McD
