Pierre Lacroix wont trade Svatos, the guy will be a prolific scorer and is already one actually and Ian laperiere is a real leader with some grit I think they'll put Murray in minors and just get Duncan Milroy to be on 4th line... I'm unsure on Antropov but i think Sarich isnt a bad idea.

I think all youngsters will eat the 8 Million marge or a big part of it plus Souray and Markov....meaning we wont have much room to sign a big player...or am i misunderstanding things...saskhab. And perhaps Emelin will be signed also...could resolve part of the D corp. However i hope we get reinforcement from attackers.

Actually no good winger such as Smyth or perhaps a center of the caliber of Drury or Brière would be a dissapointment for me. Maybe Gainey will surprise us with a blockbuster trade if it isnt done via UFA, but i doubt it... The real questionsfor me is which player Carbo doesnt want to see anymore that arent under contract...in the RFA and UFA

I,m a french canadian and i really believe we shouldnt go for a center but a strong winger real 1st line and leader. I say do whatever you can to get Ryan Smyth, hes a leader, hes a forechecker, he has a steady points per season, good on PP and more important, he can go in front of the net to deviate shots and take rebounds better than most elite players in the nhl in my view. What do you guys think?

I think Ryan Smith would be a key element that the CH is missing. This si the go to guy to be able to stay in front of the net and pickup rebounds. However, Briere is really tempting, choices wont be easy and our ability to be able to catch one of the elite UFA next season is kinda dubious if you look at the history of the canadians. I've yet to see huge names that came to montreal. It seems like we're always the town that gets in the last straw but is only used as a way for the player agent to raise their salary offers. Anyway, sorry for english mistakes.

Suggestion : could we add Duncan Milroy, he only played 4-5 games to my knowledge, is that enough to take him out of the recruit status next season? I think Duncan could be a perfect fit with Lapierre and Bégin on fourth line.
