  1. I always suspected Price aggravated his MCL and possible meniscus.. MCL recovery depends on degree..1, 2 or most serious 3Rd degree sprain. All cases can be recovered without surgery. MCL 3Rd degree sprain...takes at least 8 weeks if not 3 plus months..all can do is wait and rest.. I have gone through it twice..the knee is vulnerable with lateral movement and can extend meniscus damage and even ACL tear.. It doesn't appear Price is wearing a brace.. In rare occasions on 3Rd degree MCL sprain..the ligament gets stapled or procedure to aid in securing it if not healed..or if scar tissue has occurred This is the issue with a goalie and relying on lateral movement and stress on the MCL and LCL.. So the time period is in line with recovery without surgery.. Either way..I wouldn't be rushing him and I dont see him returning before mid March.
  2. www.tsn.ca/nhl/video/price-favours-right-leg-breaks-stick-during-morning-skate~801202 3 plus months..and seeing this video...I hate to speculate..but 3 months is: 1. 2nd degree MCL 2. Loose cartilage/ meniscus But at this stage would show progress. Based on my own knee surgery and around these type of injuries.. There is more to it than what the habs are leading us all to believe. I am very surprised that no one has even mentioned or looked at this closely in terms of challenging the team. Are we seeing Price dealing with an acl tear? He can't even push off his right knee. If it is an acl..which looks like it..shut him down and get him into surgery..and into 6 to 8 month rehab. If this is the case..by March we will find out for him to be ready for start of the 2016 season. But surely the team would have already had surgery if it was an ACL. So probably it still is an MCL and reoccurring meniscus / cartilage... But this isn't looking anywhere close for him to be back unfortunately
  3. Yes its an educated guess. Agreed. We all agree , the odds are slim they make it. The concern is if MB pulls trigger short term, to make push into playoffs for the sake of a few HOME PLAYOFF dates. As it stands, " tanking" I don't see them in top 5 lottery pick.. I see them in that 8 to 12 pick... The standouts in this draft are in the TOP 5 Does MB go to Tampa and offer their first for DROUIN? who knows.. Well, thats all will say on this topic here under injuries, as getting off the " Injury" thread topic. And well yes, INJURIES have put this team in this situation, NO Price injury, and this team is a playoff team, but still not a contender yet.
  4. Saying 100 points gets the team there!, 22 or 23 wins ( 96 points may get us there- highly unlikely it would with 7 teams competing for 2 wild card spots) ...that is all. The point is this team is highly unlikely to win 70%+ wins rest of way.. SINCE DECEMBER 2nd they have 11 points!!, the next worst team has 23 points, They are amongst 7 teams, competing for 2 WILDCARD SPOTS...And looking at standings and best guess: those 2 teams need to hit that 99/100 points. Right now Boston and Pittsburgh, just need 21 WINS out of 33, and 22 wins out of 34, and gets them in PLAYOFFS ANY other team to surpass them for those 2 wild cards: NEW JERSEY CAROLINA OTTAWA PHILADELPHIA MONTREAL Montreal has 32 games left, to any of these teams, need 24 wins to surpass the others. ..This year, figuring 99 points for the wild cards.. of these 7 teams, 2 will hit that.
  5. Recent years..100 points gets you in playoffs..Habs have 52 points..24 wins gives you that 100 points.. 22 or 23 wins..falls short..may or may not get you. Regardless they have to win over 70% of their games..
  6. Will this team win 24 wins of next 32 to make the playoffs? .750 win percentage, Its not going to happen, even if PRICE comes back tomorrow and is 100% healthy. Unfortunate, but this team lacks the TOP 6 forwards all has talked about. The MB habit of bringing in grinders in Bottom 6 hasn't helped, in fact hindered development of young prospects. To trade for a TOP 6, this team doesn't have the assets to do so, unless one gives up, one of the top 5 players, thus creating another hole. Any trade would have to include the 2016 1st round, which looks more and more like a High lottery pick. One of the Finnish wingers, Mathews ( we all wish), or Tkachuk...? Drouin, is a gamble, but if he hasn't shown himself now,, look at his AHL stats? any better than the current top prospects with the team? The woes on PP, lack of Top 6 talent, your top players getting older and not producing, Injuries, all has lead this to a non Playoff team. The concern is, if a trade is made to make this team a playoff team, and lose in first round or 2, ( but those are extra home playoff games and added revenue) So is this team built to make the playoffs, or to win a cup? Right now, it appears that off season high draft picks ( don't trade them), get the right prospects, keep adding to the depth, look at the FA market, get everyone healthy, review coaching ( wish the requirement of speaking French wasn't there) and look forward to the 2016/17 season BUT .750 win percentage under current conditions to make the playoffs isn't realistic. if anything at trade deadline Habs are sellers
  7. Price injury, or aggravation of that Knee going back to NYR playoff injury on same knee..Knowing abit of Knees, and going through my own Knee surgeries, AT very least it appears he as a Goalie, it impacts his lateral movement: Speculating of course the following: 1. Meniscus, cartilage tear, Orthoscopic Surgery to clean the loose Cartilage. 2. MCL 2nd or 3rd degree tear, appears likely, as this would severely impact lateral movement, and depending the degree, it is YES 3 months With combination of above, rest and minor surgery as above.. is within the timeline Now, what maybe concerning, is if he partially tore his ACL , thats now another matter, If this was the case, The team would have shut him down for the year. and surgery schedule announced. Well, in offseason we may know more, as one can play with a partial tear, goalie would be more severely impacted. If their is any sign of him wearing a Knee brace, this would be a strong hint to this during his skating practices now, has anyone observed this? I am inclined to think its a meniscus, MCL issue, which is a 3 month, to 4 month injury to the more severe cases. Hope thats just that for all
  8. A few points..MB has taken this team lot further than it was before he was hired, for main reason: 1. Surrounding himself with people in the organization that hasn't existed in very long time. Identifying areas in Scouting, Development. Now having said that, he inherited a team that had holes to fill and a byproduct of the previous management. ( Every time I watch NYR, I cringe as to why Gainey didnt talk to Timmins first about Ryan Mcdonagh!!!!!) I remember that draft year...and Timmins saying he was one of the very best players in the draft and a future C... Also, last year listening to sports talk show being interviewed, Sather mentioned he was offered 2 of 3 young def prospects in that trade. He took Mcdonagh and Valentenko.. ( I am sure if he was offered Valentenko and Fischer he would still had made that deal)!! Shaking head always on this one...Right up there with the Roy trade and the Pierre Turgeon Trade!! I regressed , but always will be a sore point on this one!! 2. Few points ... It does baffle the mind , about all the bottom 6 players being acquired, and the D acquired ( Weaver, Allen, Murray, Gonchar...) who is MB listening to in Scouting that has him making these trades? Now, sure the Petry trade, and Vanek were justified... But we are emptying the prospect opportunities. the 2nd and 3rd round drafts being given up or whatever round. No guarantee, and very small chance they will ever make it, BUT ITS A NUMBERS GAME!, Look at this year and TB!!..check where Kucherov was drafted, and Habs didnt have a 2nd round pick that year!, one of many examples.. SO MB has to be careful in always giving away draft picks! The successful teams, again the final 4 this year Chicago, Anaheim, NYR, TB all have done well drafting in the mid range drafts...every one of these rosters have recent picks in draft ...Successful scouting, plus development, and Coaching and management trusting to go with young players!! Now, they also, have tweeked lineup with bold trade moves, maybe even overpaying by giving up first round picks. MB hasnt done that! give him credit for it.. ITS A THIN FA market this year.. so ASSET management...Something MB has relatively done ok with, not as bad as previous management. For now he should see where PETRY is at!!, if he cant be signed, sending him elsewhere for a 2nd or 3rd round pick, to get something back for him. Otherwise yes go and sign him NOW There is nothing in MB actions that have him any reason to be fired at this stage. But all coaches and management at some point will get fired, but give him his chance. He knows this team has holes, let him try to solve them.
  9. I totally agree with you, unless we get a top six winger for Pleks, we do not trade him, Yes DD is an over achiever! His heart and ethic are not in question. I just see an imbalance on this team that needs to be corrected.. we Have C strength, but not the right C strength...if you know what I mean..( Galchenyuk time is now at C) so now is time to correct that IMBALANCE, if we can get quality and solve the TOP 6 winger issue...yes if it means trading Pleks.. But right now, for crying out loud fire the PP coach...key moments to bring team back or kill another team off...and now what 1 for 16.. even an average PP, we may have seen a game 7 or even series win for MTL, Because at crucial times it starts or carries forward momentum..case in point today, Nothing, could have been a series savior or very least extender, now,, DONE
  10. Fire who the hell is responsible for this embarrassing PP!! and I mean fire him tomorrow!!
  11. Before everyone gets negative...The habs showed lot of character to make it back to 3 to 2.. History against them!, but soo much to ask to win 3 or 4 in a row in playoffs. In playoffs, one can go and on about " should have ..could have..would have.." Realistically this team just isn't quite yet TOP 4 in NHL.. TOP 8, because of Price.. How do we get better! I am sure lot of discussion over the summer 1. PP, there you go...Habs have PP..now 1 for 15. TB gets PP, and killer instinct, series done..simple --- CHANGE 1: The guys on bench responsible for this, have to go!! 2. TB is the youngest team in playoffs by a year...MB needs to stop getting fringe or has-been veterans, ( Re; Gonchar...anyone) why trade for them if not play them.. LET THE KIDS PLAY..LOOK at TB!! 3. FA: not much this season, so now what: give some of the younger guys a chance, look at TB!!, they have!! 4. MT is doing best with his tools...but this team needs another top 6 player ( re: RW), and I am sorry but DD doesn't fit into a contending team! 5. Eller stays, Plekanec if get maximum trade, trade one of the 2.. 6. Time for Galchenyuk to play C...this series, injury, confidence? or he needs more time? or just get him going from day 1 next year at ctr 7. Stop giving Eller, no skill players on wing!! 8. Petry? not sure if he can be signed...but if manageable, go for it 9. PAP, DD, Gilbert, have to go, plus some of those extra 4th liners!! TB, a year younger than Habs...!! They have their killer guys!! ( re: Stamkos..) Cant keep not supporting Price!! Tonight: Price showed up, Gallagher showed up!! who else Is it MT?, or is it that just not good enough, Both... lets start with getting a new PP coach NOW!!.. next, Petry can he be signed? is is he going home to Detroit!? Next, What assets are there to bring this team to that TOP 4? and YES, Evaluate coaching and MT? with all the quality coaches available..( but of course no french speaking..so much for that idea..) back to top 8.. All said and done, Great character for coming back 2 games, 2nd in NHL, Price wins Vezina and Hart(?) lots of positives...look forward to 2015/16 season!!
  12. NOW!!, all the pressure on TB!!, wow.. bring them on, if they win, all credit to TB, or else back to MTL, vs PRICE, who would you pick. History in making? regardless, great send off by the fans!!, sometimes game of inches, we could easily be up or won..but so it be!! We need to get better, but let it ride!!, and enjoy!!, if we lose nest game, be proud of the guys, given the pressure!!... cant wait for game 6!!
  13. woooowwwww... Need the shots in the slot!!! One timers...should have could have would have.. great but we need to be better in in Game 6 to force game 7 !! oh soo close to be 3 to 2 MTL, or 4 to 1..game of inches...if only our PP, or that one game breaker we sooo greatly miss!!. But with best goalie in the planet, anything goes
  14. posted on wrong forum thread...PP!! game and season on line!! PP the weakness...killer instinct!! we needed that!!..now Flip a coin..
  15. And season is on the line, with PP. live or die!! hmmm
  16. 1.77 goals per game in 9 games this playoffs. Basically you would need a shutout every game to win!! from PRICE. Last 6 games: 1 WIN 5 LOSSES : 7 goals FOR 16 goals AGAINST All is been said of the lack of offense, lack of any PP This isn't a playoff team without Price!, All the losses , and bad losses to the Oilers, Sabres, and all the non playoff teams. Don't you think there is tape on these games these teams look at. MB said this team isn't ready yet. He knows it. But from lack of depth and lack of top 6 talent, is one thing. BUT COACHING! Every shift I see no method to a plan or execution. The team is just reacting out there to what is given to them. You can't win games like that or generate any offense. You know you have momentum and full control when the other team reacts to you, BUT like how HABS been playing, they are reacting, that is when you know you are losing the battle. Perimeter team for most part at this stage! That last goal by TB, well planned , executed, cross movement, watch that play develop!! WELL COACHED execution. I cant see HABS developing that play. It shows on the PP!! this lack of movement or motion ! The PP is simply a small sample of how average coached this team is. I don't say Below average, because of lack of tools for this team, So AVERAGE says it all, in terms of being contenders. This team is a top 10 team in this league, because of PRICE, SUBBAN, PACS,.. BUT you can't go anywhere with DD or anyone else on this team being a number 1 ctr, and no top end RW. IS it MT, just not being able to take team beyond what he has? Is it making most use of limited assets? Probably a combination of both. MB, bringing in these bottom 6 players...not helping!! Too many of them, when their is young talent. Go with them, and use half or bring in half these players. Lets face it Price wins the HART, for a reason, Too bad players like DD will stay on team, and the Eller's of the world will get shipped out. I cant see Habs winning tomorrow. Just hate wasting away Price's performances, because we don't have enough : 1. TOP 6 talent 2. AVERAGE coaching Cant win, unless team gets a shutout from Price, just doesn't do it! this team isn't a contender yet.
  17. Great job in keeping traffic away from in front of Price. He saw everything, so give credit where credit is due. Adjustment also I saw in clearing the puck out of own zone and away from danger zones! What can you say about PRICE, thats why he is the HART winner! BUT, with 16 minutes left in 3rd period, PP needs to be better and have killer instinct to get that second goal! The team has to solve that, better movement today! Finally ELLER gets 17 plus minutes. ONLY FORWARD that was in full control and going into the danger zones, and penetrating down the middle, GIVE HIM WINGERS, PRUST 3 chances, Weise 2 chances, he hits the post from in traffic and 2 Senators on him He sure steps up...but give him : Pacs, or Gallagher or Galenchyuk! any 2 of those 3...He needs to be on PP and number 1 ctr!!, total control in every aspect CRUCIAL first goal by Gallagher, pure skill and hand eye coordination, to get that goal!!, wow..NO it wasnt a lucky goal like the Ottawa player mentioned between periods ( whats his name again?) GILBERT: whats he doing on ice with 30 seconds left!! wow ( he did have his best game of series ) well, great no game 7...all in all its done, give Ottawa credit, they gave it their all! Now TAMPA or DETROIT, doesnt matter who, at end of day they need to beat all they face! Speed teams like Tampa and NYR give HABS issues... THUS they NEED TO SORT THEIR PP, Price can only carry them soo long! Well, on to next series.
  18. POWERPLAY or lack of will be the end of this team in this years playoffs! 10 minutes left on PP and nothing..Ottawa turns around and makes it 4 to 1 COACHING, all year relying on winning by other ways despite this major issue! it will come back to haunt them! Coaches need to put players to succeed on PP, need better adaption to set plays!!! Even if Habs win this series, they wont last long! 1. NO PP 2. No horses or DEPTH to score when things tighten up...where are the top players,? YOUR BEST PLAYERs have to be your best players 3. Defense: players like GILBERT and the costly turnover in Game 4,, this series may have been over! 4. EVEN if DD doing his best and working, he still gets beat over and loses puck, no way any team with DD as number 1 ctr will go deep on playoffs LAST 2 games: this has been a PARAMETER team!!! 1 goal in 2 games, not going to win!! Also, Ottawa's hitting is taking its toll now on Habs ...they seem to lose a step. sure lots of shots!! but from where? no big scoring chances all parameter, Ottawa bending but not breaking.. So now what? NO PP, NOT GOING TO WIN...PERIOD...it will catch up to them now or soon!! Just too bad really, given Price and the few working hard...
  19. MB made the trade to give the line up more options to work with for the playoffs. A hard driving player that goes to the net as a 3rd or 4th line player that thrive at playoffs. Sekac, is more a parameter player and I am sure as the season continues...its a schedule he isnt use to, so I cant see him being anymore a factor in The Playoffs. Sekac works hard, but the results arent there as offensive numbers. He teases you, but what is there to show? Thats been his history , as I dont see any significant numbers from his junior days or pro days... I see him as a " tweener" were do you put him ? SP has some pedigree...point per game junior, WJC, reasonable success in playoffs... What has SEKAC shown in terms of pedigree? MB has a handful of prospects like this. atleast we have little more drive now upfront. Will be interesting to see how Sekac will do out West, I cant see him putting up anymore numbers even playing with Getzlaf or Perry...
  20. The more I think about it....It's not Eberle from Oilers I would go after...but Yakupov.. I see both players every night here...and Yakupov gets a bad rap! He works hard every game. He plays on the 3rd line most of the time in the past, If you look at his stats, his stats in the NHL are almost identical to Galchenyuk: yak: 37 GOALS IN 172 GAMES Galch: 38 GOALS IN 170 GAMES YAK: 76 points to Galchenyuk : 94 points Keeping in mind, the difference in the teams, but similar TOI and 3rd line duty with some top line minutes I dont see many available players out there that would help MTL. without giving up anything substantial for a rental. A longer term player with youth on his side and willing partner to trade with is what I would target. I keep coming back to the OILERS they want to build future, and maybe do a similar kind of deal as Buffalo, plus who knows hey can minus the present to maybe get better shot at Connor Mcdavid, hmmm what Sabres did and appears Toronto are doing.. So here we go: Tinordi ( oilers want a big presence with youth on Def...- who doesnt?) Fucale ( young goalie prospect) 1st round 2015 or 2016 : mtl choice depending where they draft Dont give up a roster player...above 2 current prospects have had 'bumps' in their development but have value to a team like the oilers. and a low first round pick... I would do this trade! given the current roster wouldnt change ( well other than Tinordi to a minor extent) if want Petry added to trade, MTL can return back something else (?) Oilers are looking for a Centre with size and defense. MacT would for sure ask for JDLR...which MTL wont trade. ELLER maybe? as you can see...there is opportunity for a trade to happen here... or if EBERLE, like earlier trade proposal with Eller. Sometimes the best trades are the ones NOT MADE...(keep thinking back to the GOMEZ trade and RYAN McDonagh ) --- still will always be ticked on that one!!
  21. MB will make a move at the deadline, most likely depth. But the young players like JDR is proving to add an element to the pieces being placed. Rumuors here out WEST in EDMONTON is that Oilers are willing to trade Jordan Eberle. But they want a big C all round player. A solid prospect, a first rounder. and a goalie prospect. Eberle, isnt physical and weakest part of his game he plays small and isnt the greatest skater. He does have that lethal shot, and needs to be with a responsible C defensively ( Plek, or Eller...) Perhaps: MTL gets EBERLE but would have to give up: --- ELLER --- TINORDI --- FUCALE --- and a FIRST Oilers throwback J. PETRY? Not a fan of PETRY, just like Gilbert was always limited in Edmonton as we see now in MTL.( Gilbert always got beat to the outside, and is slow in turning- STILL BAFFLED HOW THE MTL SCOUTS DIDNT REPORT THIS TO MB: Major FAIL)!!! I would prefer to give OILERs DD at C than ELLER..but Oilers want an ELLER type C. Curious to see how this will end up. DONT NEED VERMETTE or others being mentioned In my opinion that would be too much for EBERLE,. Matter how much one values TINORDI and really how realistic will Fucale ever play in MTL. Giving up Eller , well I prefer to give up DD. But the play of JDR may allow this to happen. JDR offense will always be limited. But ELLER offense potential may never be realized either.
  22. First game, Done...and only game 1, lets wait until game 10, to get a better picture after 1/8 of a season to see where the team is heading for the season. After game 1, really nothing new we didnt know. as MB mentioned the " team isnt quite there yet..." but there are always positives... DEFENCE: --- TINORDI will be a key player for years to come, but he isnt quite there yet. One of the goals he pinched in, then recovered and got " picked". At the 6:50 minute mark of first period, Bodie just beat Tinordi clearly on outside. Still needs to work on positioning, when everyone healthy he is back in AHL for one last time. --- MARKOV, he cant play mid 20's or plus 20's now. He still is a valuable piece of the puzzle at the 18 to 20 minute range and used properly and not over used. --- BOUILLON, 14 minutes is the maximum for him with controlled minutes. One goal against , poor decision to over commit. Simply not enough offense given risk factor when he pinches in. TINORDI is at development phase , while FB is at end of career where his time is better used on someone else. --- DIAZ, offense is there, DEF. is what it is, you know what you get, but his offense helps offset, unlike FB. --- PK SUBBAN, and GORGES did what we expect...and nothing wrong with their game. *** Concern to watch MARKOV, FB, TINORDI is not quite there yet. OFFENCE: --- What can say say about the ELLER line. Other then GIVE THEM MORE PLAYING TIME ( ELLER was behind BRIERE and DD in minutes WTF?????). AG at 13 and BG at 11, isnt acceptable!! --- BRIERE other than 2 plays, was invisible didnt bring anything to the table! --- DD, well its been mentioned too many times!! needless to say unfortunate that we are stuck with him. and ultimately will hold this team back. ( led all forwards in minute!! 18:22), --- dont need to say anything more! but whats going on!!!!? --- PLEKANEC line will be solid, I know some will complain about GIONTA but this will be his last year, BOURQUE for what he is paid, will get his 18 to 22 goals, TP brings solid all round game. --- 4th line is fine with PRUST, and the depth that can slide in. PRICE: cant be faulted. He made some incredible saves, and lacked support. His rebound control will improve. CBC and Healy specific were faulting him on the SH Bozak goal, really??? and its fault also of the MARKOV turnover.!! Sure would be great on timely " great" save! but he had a few in first period that count as " timely great saves also" At end of day, the team early on , lets wait at the 10 game mark, look for how: --- Briere --- DD --- Markov --- Bouillon MORE TIME to : ELLER, AG, BG... This will be the telling story of 5 key elements of the team that were sub par today, They have to be at minimum average for it to be a successful season!
  23. ACL surgery has advanced to such a point that doesn't impact performance. The key is the athletes strength before and after surgery and how he works to get back at it. Quite often its all mental and that first impact and being prepared. I would look at a January return time frame, if he is ahead of the game maybe December. From MB's press conference, if there is still swelling a month after the injury is little concerning ( meniscus-cartilage damage?? ) A month without any strengthening or using is muscle groups in area will prolong recovery ( why I am saying January ). I suffered my ACL injury during soccer. I had the same surgeon as Pavel Bure's ortho. Surgeon, it took me about 10 months, but without the benefit of all the facilities Emelin's will have access to. I had a cadaver ligament done-allograft ACL surgery-. Which gets you to recovery that much quicker, without cutting into your hamstring or patella ( the other 2 common self donor sights ). Allograft seems to be the prefer method these days given length of recovery and why I chose it as well. GALCHENYUK was back in 6 months which is really amazing and a credit to his mental strength and work ethic, and working out. This must be seen as the exception. ( plus he did have his surgery soon after). Been involved with and around ACL injuries for last 15 years, and the recent dramatic improvements in surgery. There isn't reason why an athlete shouldn't go back to past performance, BUT ITS UP TO THE ATHLETE TO PUT IN THE WORK TO RECOVER MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY. Plan on January return anything earlier is a bonus.
  24. LAST 25 games: 11 wins 14 loses 68 GF 77 GA -9 Not good enough. Injuries, not enough depth, and short season success, has caught up in last 25 games. Curious what the team stats would be over a full season? YES, we have improved, but with these injuries, we go back to last years injuries. Hope all the staff brought in to shore up scouting and management will review this year, and identify all the issues to continue to progress to have the team to be a Stanley Cup Contender, and not just Playoff contenders. Most of comments read here: 1. where were the vets in this series? DD, Pacs, Ryder, Plec...0 goals! 2. MT outcoached in this series, team looked unorganized ( no drive to net to get in face of Anderson!) 3. Senators young guys got the minutes! We can go on and on... Will the team finish 2nd or first in the EAST next year in full season? hmmmm Great improvement this year, MAYBE Been a slice...Take care all...Always a HABS fan!
  25. Game, Set..... Talk about a game of inches.. " What If...." All started Game 1 with 50 shots on Anderson...Facing a goalie that is at his best. 1. injuries. 2. Untimely goals by Senators 3. or that one big save to keep team in it When its not your series, you look for all kinds of excuses ( officiating, unlucky bounces..) The team made strides this year to get back into the playoffs and exceeded expectations in facing 2nd in the Eastern Conference in a shorten season. With all the new staff and extra people ( scouts etc,,,) they now can look at a 48 game plus playoff to look at where the team is going and progress. There were signs at end of season showing the team is not yet ready to contend: 1. .500 hockey last 20 games ( 10-10) plus 1-3 (4?) playoffs.. So a Below .500 team in last 24/25 games 2. Positive is young players have been evaluated ( even if they arent getting th minutes some would like..) 3. Depth of team..where to go from here... 4. Senators are not exactly top tier contenders either. But their young players have been given minutes to show their stuff. 5. End of day, the team wasnt ready this year. All and all a good season. Address some of the issues of the veterans and if they are past their prime. 6. Who in the FA market can be brought in. 7. With all the 2nd round/ 3rd , who can we find, can we find ( Lucic, marchand, Bergeron: what accelerated Bostons rise...countless other examples with other now top contenders.) yes can find jewels in rough, This is a key year for the organization. Season went well, but playoffs maybe made expectations of team to a more realistic level ( well going back to last 20 games of season). Cheering the Habs on till the end
