  1. I would take Malakhov over Zhitnik any day. And I would prefer neither. :hlogo:
  2. Bulis has had a few chances only to shoot it wide or over the net so far tonight. Three wide in the first four minutes. Perreault took a bad penalty that led to the Sabres goal. I wonder if it wouldn't do to sit him for a couple games like before the heritage classic. It might kick start his game. Then again, he needs to play with other skilled players to be effective. :ghg:
  3. This will be a big game for the boys. Koivu and Souray really need to have a better effort. Theo will have to be on top of his game as well. Biron has been on somewhat of a hot streak lately and usualy seems to play well against the Canadiens. I hope that Komisarek dresses as a defenceman as I don't feel dressing him as a forward does anything to help his development. I would rather see Bouillon dress as a forward than Komi. If this proves to be another lackluster effort, will it be taken as a sign by management that a shakeup is needed to spark the team? :ghg:
  4. It wouldn't bother me so much if the same rules apply league wide. If this is the first step in that direction, so be it. If not I will be severely disapointed. I for one would like to see mandatory discipline for stick infractions and other stupid, careless infractions(knee on knee, slew footing, kicking etc) imposed on a league wide basis regardless of the players identity. first incident 2 games second incident 5 games third incident 8 game fourth incident 12 games fifth incident 20 games (if you haven't got the picture by now Mr. Marchment...) These would be the minumum penalties. If it is a first time incident that is deemed to be reckless and showing disregard for the safety of others or an intent to injure the length could be increased( what were you thinking Mr. Lecavallier). What are your guys thoughts? :ghg:
  5. While I agree with almost everything you said, I have to disagree about Rivet. Well...kind of anyway. He did suck eggs for most of this year, he has played quite well the last couple weeks. I hate to see him hurt when he was just starting to get his game back. On the positive side, If he is badly injured again, it opens up a spot for Komisarek for a few more games. I think he played the best game I have seen from him yet against Philly then had to sit out last night when Markov came back. :ghg:
  6. Good news for Ryder. He deserved it anyway. I never realy understood what the big deal was. So he's on his second contract. Big deal. He never played in the NHL before this year. Same with Hunter. It only makes sence that you have the two top rookie scorers play in the young stars game. Its not like they are 30 year old rookies. :ghg:
  7. He took a slash on the wrist while going behind the net last night. From sources at some other boards, he has apparently been having trouble with that wrist already. I was just wondering if anyone had heard something similar. Hopefully he is okay. I know alot of fans don't like him and he has had a bit of trouble lately, but I for one feel his is a decent player when used properly. :ghg:
  8. Will Ward be out for awhile? How about Rivet's wrist? I think we will really miss Ward. Especially on the penalty kill with Juneau and Dackel out as well. On the bright side, we should see more of Balej and get a better read on him at the NHL level. :ghg:
  9. Gonchar to the Leafs is the one I have been hearing about the most. I imagine the injury he suffered last night will probably slow the rumors down somewhat.:ghg:
  10. I think it will be a close game. Probably end in overtime. I predict a 3-2 win in OT.:ghg:
  11. He has a high upside as an offensive player. When I saw him play in the WHL, he reminded me of Oleg Petrov. It is hard to say how his game will translate at the NHL level. I don't think he will last long this season at the NHL level. I have a feeling he is just being rewarded for an outstanding AHL season so far. Kind of like they did with Plekanec a few games back. If he shows he can have a positive impact in his first couple games, he may stay. He played his first game last night and didn't look out of place at all. He didn't really show that he could be an impact player, but it was his first game. Hopefully they put him in the lineup again tonight. Hope this helps.:ghg:
