  1. Guys all of you calm down. Abby wasn't good tonight, but he wasn't bad either. Our D left him out to dry and its pretty hard stoping 3rd and 4th scoring chances on the same play. He made a few excellent saves, but yet again the result was 5 goals and that won't cut it. As a goalie playing with a new team and new defensmen in front of you, there is going to be an adjustment period, hopefully he'll get in that zone soon because with 11 games left you can be sure he plays another 2 or 3 times.
  2. Tonight we find out what we're made of.... Away let's ######ing go Les Boys...
  3. Hey everyone, I noticed a seller on EBAY with an AWESOME deal for tomorrow's game. http://cgi.ebay.com/CANADIENS-TICKETS-VS-T...1QQcmdZViewItem He's only asking 50$USD per ticket, this is a steal, I have called around and scalpers are asking 100+... He's got 3 auctions of 2, 3 and 4 tickets... Hope we can jam the most Habs fans in there as possible! Hope this helps someone out.
  4. I can find out tomorrow afternoon... Forsure less than the 250$ a pair scalpers are asking... lol
  5. Yeah Tickets will be hard to get... I have friends who have a few extra pairs to sell in the Blue section for Thursday... And maybe one pair of Reds for Saturday. Saturday is going to be way more expensive i'd think... If anyone is really needing tickets, PM me and I'll see if I can help. I'm going, sitting in the gods... Section 431 lol
  6. Okay, well we're in 8th, clinging to a playoff spot, who is going to step up and really put us in there? Koivu hasn't scored in 17 games, thats more than 1/5 the season... He is not getting the job done at all. He's been awful all over the ice and I don't care what he's been through, it's not an excuse for his play this season. Especially when he was the best player in the world in Turin. Ryder has 24 goals, but most of them were scored early in the year, he's pretty useless out there, he's got to take it up a notch, or 2... well more like 10. Zednik, he's trying a bit more, but his decisons with the puck are horrible, they cost us the game tonight, it's unreal that he was once pretty dominating and is coming off of 31 and 26 goal seasons. A few people have stepped up, Huet has been excellent... Souray had been OUTSTANDING of late and is a real leader on this team, Rivet has also been solid, Boullion as well... I really hope he's ok. If those 3 guys don't step up in a HUGE way, we can forget the playoffs... Oh yeah, we're kind of missing a #79 in the back end.
  7. Throughout the first 40 games of the season, Souray was bad, he looked like a 4th or 5th Dman, and couldn't seem to do anything right. He was struggling with the new rules, his divorce and being away from his daughter. In the past 20 games, Souray is putting up serious numbers while playing dominating defense. He really looks like the guy who was a Norris candidate in 03-04. He's just 29 years old and his best years are coming, so many Habs fans wanted him out of Montreal as soon as possible, and what a mistake that would have been. Souray now is playing like a #1A or #2 Dman, and we're lucky we kept him. He's a real leader on the team and a good guy in the room, Souray had his struggles and if Habs fans would have stayed behind him he maybe would have come out of his funk even sooner. He's back and the timing couldn't be better... http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/200252.html
  8. Theodore to Avs in 2006... 30 years old. Roy to Avs in Dec 1995.... 1996 season... 30 years old. UGH
  9. I'm very upset, I'll wait until tomorrow's deadline... but this has 1996 written all over it.
  10. We better be getting someone else... Because this trade could come back and kill us. Roy part 2.
  11. This isn't even hockey, I have never seen refs so one sided... Gainey should throw the bench on the ice, he doesn't react, he does ###### all.
  12. He's horrible, I don't want to see him play another game for us, and I was one of his biggest fans. Sit him, put Sunny, or Murray back in, trade him, do whatever... I'm done with Zed.
  13. I think this should be Saku's call. He is the captain, we did just resign him to a 3 year extention, so we have to make it his choice. Now you can look at it from another point of view, The Habs pay his contract, and what if the Habs lose tomorrow and miss the playoffs by one point, what then? Regardless, I think Saku knows his body best, and if he feels like a game off will benifit him, and the team for the rest of the season, I think you have to take his word for it.
  14. He fell outside his house, broke his heal.... Ok, he's sucked this year, but I really feel bad for him. http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/198458.html
  15. Theodore is a stringbean... No way is he taking steriods, maybe his hair is falling out? Sure, he's been awful this year, but this really shoudn't even be news, let's move on... Jose hasn't done anything wrong except been a bad goalie this year, and at least he's doing that honestly. I'm sure Gretzky is loving this, takes some attention away from him.
  16. We've had a few I wonder what the results show.
  17. Theo has 10.6 million left over the following two seasons.
  18. I think Bonk could win it next year... He did have a great year in the IHL about 10 years ago...
  19. I guess this should be in the Bulldogs section, but with Theodore's recent performances... I think he belongs in this Forum... http://www.rds.ca/citadelles/chroniques/197097.html
  20. The hit didn't do anything, he's fallen on bad habits... he had 31 goals in 2002-2003... in the old NHL. He's not the same because of the work ethic. nothing else.
  21. They'll make amazing movie critics... Gainey cancelled practice to have the team go see a movie together, couldn't they find a better bonding idea then a movie? Where everyone is SILENT? Gainey and Carbo also met with a few players one on one... http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/196459.html
  22. Hey Bob, instead of defending your Theodore signing and playing him after that horrible game in Vancouver, why not try and win the game instead with Huet? Huet is clearly more on top of his game now, and Theodore's feelings aren't worth missing the playoffs.
  23. It's not about a bandwagon, more like calling a spade a spade, Theodore sucks right now. He's been great in the past, and he could be great again one day, but right now he's brutal.
  24. Dandenualt wasn't a mistake? Are you kidding me? I've been to almost every Habs home game this year, and a few in Ottawa and trust me, he's been a huge mistake. He wasn't worth the 1.7 million dollar salary he's getting, and what's worse is, we've got hom for another 3 years. I actually think he's been our worst Dman this year. Souray, Markov, and Boullion are fine on the left side... While Rivet and Komisarek are alright on the right side. If we would have landed a righthanded Dman stud to replace Brisebois instead of Dandy we'd be way better off. Most respected men in hockey? Have you heard the phrase "What have you done for me lately?" The answer is not much. Just like Sather in NY, prior to this year he was living off of what he did as an Oiler. I'm not saying Gainey isn't the right man, I believe he is... However, he hasn't warrented any accolades yet. If he does do something right, trust me, I'll be the first to praise him... But right now, I'm not impressed.
  25. Don't forget I said it, because I did. Bob hasn't done anything right since picking up Kovalev in March 04, thats two years ago. Not doing anything postive in two years will lead to hard times, which we're seeing right now. I can go on and on... Garon for Bonk, signing Dandenualt, giving Theodore 16 million over 3 years. Our defense hasn't been changed in forever. The last Dman we got via trade was Souray, about half a decade ago. Worrel is a total monster, if you're going to get a goon, get someone serious, not a make believe goon that Tie Domi will handle. Also, watch your sarcastic tone there buddy.
