  1. Oh dear.... http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/187811.html
  2. Averaged it out? The contract calls for: 4.5 million in 2005-2006 5.5 million in 2006-2007 6 million in 2007-2008 No contract is averaged out if the amounts are different over the years. What his salary is in 2007 has nothing to do with the 2005 cap. [Edited on 2005/9/3 by Habby1197]
  3. That site is wrong... They have Theodore at 5.33 this year and not 4.5. These are the correct figures. 32,945,800$ http://www.thefourthperiod.com/Montreal.html So we have about 6 million left in cap room, Ryder will be around 1 million and I think we'll have to sign Perezhogin too, he'll cost at least 800K. We should start the season with a cap of 35 million... giving us room to breathe for trades and UFA season 2006.
  4. Theodore got 16 over 3 years. 4.5 this year 5.5 next year 6 in the final year of the contract. http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/187032.html [Edited on 2005/9/3 by Habby1197]
  5. Unreal... A sign a things to come, no one can predict what will happen. Lindros to the Leafs is almost certain now IMO.

  8. Malkin and Ovechkin should be ashamed of themselves.... Tauting the Americans when scoring an empty netter to make it 5 and 6 to 2.... Shows no class, I hope they get theirs Tuesday... Phaneuf time. [Edited on 2005/1/3 by Habby1197]

Chris Chelios...Savard wasn't worth it. Donald Brashear... yeah he's an ass, but... Mark Recchi... 100% every night for Zubrus, not fun. Scott Thornton, he'd be nice to have.... Juha Lind? Pierre Turgeon... 127 points in 104 games Craig Conroy.... He'd be nice to have now too. Mathieu Garon, I hope Bonk was worth it. Darcy Tucker.... Im sorry, for I have sinned. Val Bure.... fun to watch, and for Hoglund? Claude Lemieux... Pepe was a winner.
  10. Will be on TV tomorrow night at 7pm EST. It will only be on the NHL network and it will be replayed 4 times Late Thursday until early friday afternoon. Don't miss it, tape it... I know I will, I can't wait to feel the goosebumps I did standing and clapping on that April evening. [Edited on 2004/6/9 by Habby1197]
  11. If there is a season... I'd take these steps. First off the UFA's, all of them... GONE, except Kovy. Zednik-Koivu-Kovalev KNUBLE-Ribs-Ryder Bulis-ARNOTT-Ward Begin-LAPPY-GOON Souray-Komi Markov-Rivet ZHITNIK-Briser Theo Garon Sign Knuble, he isn't my first choice, but he's big, and he can skate and most of all he's no whimp. He must be tired of losing to the Habs anyways. Trade for Arnott, Many of you dont like his attitude, but he's a proven winner, and a big mofo... Hainsey + 2nd + mid level prospect (Milroy?) Should get the job done. Try and sign Zhitnik he's a real good dman, tough... a complete package. If not him, something like that... Sign Lappy, type of player we need, from Kings... get him. Thats alot of additions and alot of $. 5 Million - Kovalev 3 Million - Knuble 4 Million - Zhitnik 1.5 Million - Lappy Arnott makes around 5. Thats 18.5 million dollars added... seems insane, but it isn't. Juneau- 3 million Perreault- 3 million Quintal - 3 million Dackell - 1 million Sunny- he made 2.2 but we paid 1.2 million Traverse- 1 million Kilger - 1 million Dags- 0.5 million Thats 14 million gone... so we're spending an extra 4.5 which isn't much since we did make the second round of the playoff and had 5 home playoff games. While I know Ribs, Ryder, Souray and others are in for raises, lets say the raises are a total of 6 milion, so we're about 10 million up from last year, but we did reduce payroll from 2002 to 2003 about 6 ot 7 million, so adding about the same amount wont be a problem... with a team like that we're up there with the best of the east.
  12. The proposed trade was actually Pick #7, #25, Markov and Garon... For Kovalchuk. Coming down to Komisarek, Perezhogin, Markov and Garon for Kovalchuk... I for one am thrilled we didnt make that move.
  13. He can still play for Habs next year, so I'm guessing thats where we'll see him. He scored two hat tricks after Balej was moved and really broke out. Habs have a glaring hole on LW... and he should fill a spot. Perezhogin-Koivu-Kovalev Zednik-Ribs-Ryder Bulis-???-Ward ???-Begin-??? Thats what we're starting to look like... It would be great to get a big, strong and tough two way centre for that third line.
  14. Anyone had any luck with them? I have been trying for the past 9 hours, and have ONE pair of tickets. It's totally insane. I know Puck7x has been trying since noon too... Was anyone lucky enough to get tickets?
  15. Ribs and Begin BOTH didn't practice today. BEGIN WILL PLAY TOMORROW.... Ribs is up in the air, if he can't play Perreault will play instead.
  16. Time has come to put up or shut up... Habs must come out with all they have tonight. Let's f*uk shit up tonight boys... :ghg:
  17. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?id=79119 With that.. My guess for game one lineup is. Bulis-Koivu-Zednik Dagenais-Ribs-Ryder Perreault-Dowd-Kovalev Juneau-Begin-Ward Souray-Quintal Markov-Rivet Boullion-Brisebois Theodore Langdon, Dackell and an inured Sunny will sit.
  18. Game 1: Wednesday, 7th.. 7PM EST IN BOSTON Game 2: Friday, 9th... 7PM EST IN BOSTON Game 3: Sunday, 11th... 7PM EST IN MONTREAL Game 4: Tuesday, 13th... 7PM EST IN MONTREAL Game 5*: Thursday, 15th... 7PM EST IN BOSTON Game 6*: Saturday, 17th... 7PM EST IN MONTREAL Game 7*: Monday, 19th... 7PM EST IN BOSTON :ghg:
  19. Lineup? No idea... maybe we should go with 3 balanced lines... and a bang and crash line? Bulis-Koivu-Zednik Dagenais-Ribs-Ryder Perreault-Dowd-Kovalev Langdon-Begin-Ward So tough to make a lineup... we'll have 3 guys sitting no matter what. Juneau, Dackell, Sunny... I doubt all 3 will sit. I have no idea what CJ will do... as for my lines, it was just putting things together... That 3rd line scares the hell out of me in their own end. LOL
  20. I like our chances, plain and simple... GO HABS GO
