  1. Why not give Daigneault a chance huh? You guys can't hate without the season starting...
  2. Renaud Lavoie says Marc Bergevin has pushed back his press conference with the media to tomorrow! Does it mean we are STILL not done??
  3. The news is now on RDS website, we can consider it as a done deal. http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/343052.html
  4. Pierre LeBrun of ESPN says Prust deal is 3 mil next year, 2.5mil for the 2nd and 3rd year and 2 mil for the last year!
  5. 25stanley posted a pic of a Prust #8 habs jersey, don't know if it's a fan one or legit... http://cdn.25stanley...ens-600x450.jpg
  6. TVA Sports confirms it and Renaud Lavoie of RDS says official confirmation is imminent!
  7. As per 25stanley, still waiting for a better source! Mathias Brunet of La Presse just tweeted it! Robert Laflamme of La Presse too!
  8. I used to love that guy, still do. Always give 100%, no matter what! A real leader in the dressing room, quebecer, the media will love him and will be a positive influence. Also, not too expensive! Good move.
  9. Here's how I see out bottom 6: Re-sign Moen and Staubitz, and maybe a prospect can make the team out of camp. Galchenyuk could, but after missing a whole season last year because of injury, I think one season in Sarnia couldn't hurt him, but if he shows he's NHL capable, I say give him a shot. Gallagher COULD make the team out of camp, but I think a season in Hamilton would be beneficial to him. Let's say both Moen and Staubitz are re-signed, I think with either a prospect (Galchenyuk, Gallagher...) or a free agent signing (someone like Prust) it looks something like this: Moen-Eller-Gallagher/Galchenyuk/Prust/Geoffrion Staubitz-White-Prust/Geoffrion
  10. Your skepticism is well justified! However, Therrien deserves a chance. Also, if he doesn't meet expectations, and turns out to not be a good fit for the team, I am pretty sure Bergevin will see it and not hesitate to replace him! I'm sure the new GM would rather admit he made a mistake choosing a coach and correcting it instead of not admitting it and letting an unfit coach stay behind the bench. But IMO, the work he did with Pittsburgh is remarkable, granted he had a bunch of star players! If he can do right what he did with the Penguins, to at least get this team back into the playoffs, then he will have done more than enough. Once we actually reach the playoffs, anything is possible (see 2010, no one expected us to go defeat both Pittsburgh and Washington). I am really looking forward to the next season!
  11. In the UFAs, the habs should either take a small cost-low risk chance on Lats and Mueller, or sign either one of Doan, Semin, Parenteau, Penner or Jagr! Before that, the first thing to try is a trade to acquire a young, top-6 caliber winger because all the UFAs I listed, except Lats and Mueller, are older and we need to go for youth. However, I believe any of the ones I named could make a decent winger for Plekanec!
  12. a LW to play with Pacioretty and Gionta? Pacioretty is a LW and Gionta is a RW, what we need is a good winger (either LW or RW) to play with Plekanec!
  13. I say we should go after Schultz and Allen on D, try and trade Weber for the most we can get, sign a gritty guy like Brandon Prust if we can and trade for a winger or sign one (Doan, Mueller, Latendresse, etc.)
  14. hmm but in terms of NHL potential? Possible top 6? Top 9?
  15. YEEEEEEEEEEEESSS!!!!!! GALCHENYUK!!!
  16. Alright this is the moment of truth!
  17. YESS!!!!! Murray!! Now Galchenyuk is ours!!
  18. Alright, now please habs, pick Grigs or Galchenyuk Really? A commercial between each pick?
  19. Well, here we go! Now Colombus time!
  20. Alright let's see if they go with Yakupov...
  21. Well honestly, if we trade our pick for Jordan Staal, I will be happy!
  22. Well they would make that deal because Subban is a gonna be a top dman and the pick will get them a suitable replacement for malkin, which they can slowly and carefully develop, because that would make Staal the 2nd line center after Crosby, who is their captain and superstar!
