  1. As expected Bisson with pair up with him. Reinbacher is slated to pair alongside veteran Tobie Paquette-Bisson, a wise decision to help the rookie acclimate to the professional game on the smaller ice. Praised for his skating and high hockey IQ by opponents in the NL, Reinbacher's confidence shouldn't be in question. His mobility and strong transitional play will soon be a welcomed addition to the Rocket blueline. https://awinninghabit.com/posts/david-reinbacher-set-to-make-ahl-debut-against-belleville-senators-
  2. AM guessing Reinbacher will be in pressbox for this one? Go Rhino Go!
  3. I think Hutson is a bit like Makar also, but just not same complete package. In watching his games, Hutson does struggle defending bigger stronger forwards on the rush, but no surprise and will always be a weakness. But, he seems smart with stick and we shall see how he looks in a Hab jersey pretty soon i expect.
  4. I think damn near 100% of NHL players are willing to play in NYC, same not can be said for Montreal or most other NHL cities. I think it is always the most popular stop voted on by the players anyways.
  5. Why is it, that the losing team's fans seems is the only one to ever complain about this.
  6. I assume Hughes is bit stronger defending & better skating... better shot also am guessing?
  7. Was suggested that Hughes sign Guhle-Slafkovski to long term deals this summer. I know extra little about contract/cap stuff, but maybe is a good idea?
  8. Yes, Pearson, White, Anderson seem pretty useless, unless are on team tank i suppose, but still hard to pull for those guys to do anything positive. But Habs and Canucks not comparable at this point; if had of kept Monahan and added at deadline and still sucked would of been worse obviously.
  9. Gorton eh. Patience is the key in any rebuild, but Rangers owner James Dolan didn’t have much. Just over three years after the New York rebuild started — and two days after the Rangers had been eliminated from playoff contention in the 56-game COVID-shortened season with a 26-21-6 record — Dolan fired Gorton. The Rangers had the youngest roster in the NHL at the time with eight rookies in the lineup. 10. Oh well only down 2-0, could be worse. Killed all 3 PPs Suzuki 4/8, Evans 5/10 on faceoffs
  11. And are no highly touted "Best outside of NHL" free agent prospects this year to really fight over i assume?
  12. Kapanen 1g1a 2 shots 7/25 22:48; in 4-3 OT win; up 1-0 in 1/4 final Engstrom 1a 1 shot 12:40 in 6-2 win; up 1-0 in 1/4 final (not sure why icetime is as low as is? Resting him?)
  13. Canadiens lose another heartbreaker that shows their future is in fact bright - The Athletic Second, Guhle continues to show what he will be as an NHL shutdown defender. Yes, he was victimized by McDavid on the Oilers’ first goal, an opportunity created by a terrible Josh Anderson turnover in his own zone, but Guhle spent a team-high 12:28 on the ice with McDavid at five-on-five and while the Oilers heavily controlled the run of play in that time, ultimately that first-period goal was the only one the Canadiens gave up in that time. Author also noted McDavid & Suzuki didnt see much head to head action. Oiler coach didnt want to match up top lines. "So, the Canadiens immediately pulled Matheson and Guhle off the ice right after the faceoff but kept the Suzuki line out there. From that point on, the Canadiens knew that if they sent the Suzuki line over the boards, McDavid was not likely to be coming on the other side because Knoblauch — who noted Tuesday morning just how dangerous the Suzuki line has been for the Canadiens — wanted his shutdown forward line to face them" (Suzuki needs a scoring 2nd line, hope Dach is that 2nd line centre they need?)
  14. Another entertaining close one would be appreciated. I see... 2 goals for Newhook.
  15. Not for last couple weeks. Healthy scratch maybe in the near future?
  16. OT point didnt help the cause last night, but what can ya do, was nice to see Habs score a couple. 14 more beatings to go.
  17. 20:22 for Evans, nice pass to Guhle, he is playing well and was 14/21 on faceoffs. Trading 22yr old Romanov seemed an out of left-field trade, to me anyways; but seems a smart move. Interesting collection of young-d for Hughes to work with. How are Mailloux-Harris-Barron-Kovacevic-Engstrom valued by other GMs i wonder?
  18. Shots just 17-17 2-0 isnt quite a done deal, would be a great comeback or to see a couple goals at least. Armia 6 shots Suzuki/Caufield 0 shots
