  1. Well cant hurt the PP success and Bowman used Serge Savard in same way; simply stick a big body in front of goalie and see what happens (now just need Subban to keep his shots below head height and Beaulieu to shoot more).
  2. I know he isnt as good a power forward as once was, but still 18pts on crap team, skilled player and strong on faceoffs likely quite keen for 1 more cup. Long term not good deal obviously, but has been 20+ years with no parade and team has solid goalie, d-core even without Beaulieu, but could use (must have?) a boost up front if want to play games in June. Unless Bergevin can find another Vanek quality player, that can be had for just a pick, maybe is the year to mortgage future? (Markov would for sure be happy to see Beaulieu traded.) What about Vrbata from Canucks, would he be worth adding? Canucks GM seems dumb and might get him for a 5th pick?
  3. Seem obvious that E Staal will not lead Carolina to playoffs in his final contract year. What would it likely take to get him as a rental in Feb... Eller + pick, Beaulieu? (not sure how much of cap hit he would be for last part of season, with his huge contract could he even realistically fit under Habs cap?).
  4. Yes, been shutout all of once this year, so cant score vs anyone. Chicken Little is that you? Habs are still 3rd overall in league standings, 4th in goals against and 4th highest scoring team. Both teams are +25 in goal differential. If they fire 45shots at goalie again today, I highly doubt will be shut out.
  5. And isn't it safer for Big Mike to start on the wing and not at centre?
  6. Wouldn't that be unlikely? wouldn't he fill in for Andrighetto-Carr-Byron?
  7. Ben, you mean Galchneyuk is better than what is typically needed to get deal done, when team-player have irreconcilable issues.
  8. Would moving Beaulieu up to #1 pairing & 22+minutes possibly be a bit of showcasing him for a winger or big centre? (or just Therrien 100% trying to win next game?)
  9. No they want at least one top guality player, if not Galchenyuk then Beaulieu for starters, not a older #2 centreman + crap. (and am sure Davidson's advisors have pointed to the Segain deal as a comparable of sorts)
  10. Sounds like 29 other teams are interested in Johansen and calling John Davidson, when Bruins didn't scratch Segain during the season, seemed more a quick decision by GM and Neely to deal him (cause he wasn't Bruin material) and Johansen has 134 pts in last two years so seems more attractive.
  11. No? why not? (coming off a 63pt and then last year 71pt season) (Galchenyuk 31 and 46)
  12. Will he likely play tomorrow or call up is just a nice jester for solid rookie production and a nice NHL salary cheque or two... sorta X-mas bonus?
  13. I think my GDT was root of this slump so I am out.
  14. Well this is a bit unexpected. I can sense many are drooling at thought of him running over guys or putting the knuckles to the Lucic's (or Krieder) of the league, after jamming home a goal. Sure makes Saturday game more interesting, if he dresses. 20yr old 6'6" 231 is 3rd in AHL rookie scoring, was leading rookies in minor penalties and just had his 2nd hat-trick of year.
  15. I cant even recall last time I watched one of these things? I have watched the AHL one once in a while.
  16. HR; I and most are pulling for same thing and am just being a idiot as usual.
  17. Galcheneyuk, McCarron and 1st for Johansen.
  18. Come on Bergy, go to Kijiji...gotta be able to find an all star winger you can also fit under cap there. Some think it is just that easy I assume.
  19. Habs would likely need to deal something like both Galchenyuk & Beaulieu for Johansen...so anyone still interested, might be worth it? (I think I heard Jughead McKenzie mentioned names like Subban or Pacioretty might be needed or asked for in deal)
  20. Great to see Beaulieu play 22:30 and with 4minutes on the PP, but zero shots for him and again with couple dumb turnovers and still a work in progress. Weise had 8 shots and Byron had 7 hits while the leaders Plekanec, Subban and Pacioretty all were -2.
  21. Nice to see Beaulieu-Petry-Subban with most icetime and Markov a good 12:10 minutes.
  22. Galchenyuk 8 of 11 on faceoffs, well done. Outshooting Kings 2:1 not bad. Would be nice to see more of Galchenyuk & Eller in the 3rd.
