  1. Some young RDs that HuGort may know about and that may be a good addition to LAV if they accept an AHL or 2-way contract:
  2. It would be hilarious if he doesn’t find takers for a trade to move up and uses a Hockey computer game as an analogy for proposed trades from fans and media 🤣
  3. I am glad to see you posting again! I hope all is well
  4. I hope HugGort does as well with the underrated and bottom of the baril picks as the old crew. And let’s hope the drafting and development outperforms anything we have seen since 1993! Go Habs Go!
  5. I would prefer a bridge deal to see if he can stay healthy for the full season. he hasn’t proven that yet
  6. min my re-draft I would have drafted Nemec if I could have dropped in the draft and picked up any additional assets. I really like him as a prospect more than Slafkovsky who reminds me of Latendresse
  7. I used to listen to Dick Irving on the radio, to improve my English. he was the best play-by-play guy in my humble opinion. Was always spot on in describing where the puck went BEFORE the tv replay came on! The French radio guys now are pretty good too but not to the same level
  8. Some players were playing hurt to cash-in some bonuses. that was disappointing but expected some players were overused (Savard, etc) which was weird in a lost/transition season the end-result was “meh” at most
  9. Isn’t the Russian kid small and light ? I don’t care but it seems HughGort likes big kids like Slafkovsky
  10. weren’t the late 1980s like this? Before Lemaire’s trap?
  11. What an underwhelming result on a lost transition season. CHI went all in and was rewarded. If the Habs were picking top-3 I would be ok with the result, but as is I am certainly disappointed especially with the lack of development playing time by the top prospects due to overuse weardown leading to injuries Time to turn the page and set eyes in the draft, UFAs and training camp Go Habs! Go!
  12. I agree, it is the risks beyond the player and the Hab’s control that makes this a risky pick. More risk and uncertainty than the Hutson pick
  13. the way Dadonov is performing in Dallas kind of makes the point I was making that he was not well used in MTL Like Lehkonen, Kulak and others that seem to perform better after they move away from MTL
  14. Harris may be a D prospect with the type of value Raty has LD is a position of strength for the Habs and trading Mailloux may turn out to be similar to trading Sergachev
  15. That sums it up very well, how I feel about using LVL to develop prospects I favour some trimming of the prospect pool via trade to better build that support environment and increase the level of compete. But it is a trim job not clear cut.
  16. He is a solid 3rd pair D that can play up over short spans. He would not fit in the Habs LD depth chart which bodes well for the Habs I am glad for him on getting this goal
  17. That same quote also caught my eye. Hugh-Gort certainly didn’t help Laval by building them for the playoffs; and next year they will probably be greener than this year. There are no prospects known to bring grit and sandpaper to the Rocket next year; so I expect a soft team unless there are some changes to address that
  18. A younger team next year, I expect some prospects to play overage years if not dominating their league already. I hope the Habs trade some of the prospects that are not projected to make the NHL club because of depth at their position: either to improve a draft position or to package an NHLer in a hockey trade
  19. Last trade deadline to shed expiring contracts and get some returns locked in with the goalies they have, they will not be successful in the playoffs so why would the screw their draft chances next year (24-25)
  20. Thanks Don. Sadly all of us that were pessimistic about the Habs season were right I hope they do similarly next year so that they draft high one last time before shedding the last of the dead wood and start their climb
