They've also been pretty clear, they are not putting chuck back on wing permanently. He stays at centre. He may go to wing on a PP... or for a short time in a game we need a spark, but they want him to stay at centre and develop at centre. He's not going to the Plek line.

The problem with the goalie market is this. Is it really an upgrade? Carey is hurt and clearly thats a big blow. We aren't getting Rinne, or Lundqvist, or Schneider or another top, top goalie. So we aren't coming close to filling Carey's shoes. Whats available out there as a rental, Reimer, Cam Ward, maybe Talbot, etc.... are these guys upgrades on Condon? I'd say that even if they are, its a marginal at best upgrade. Sure I'd like to get a backup for Condon, I don't trust tokarski. But I'm not sure we are gonna get a meaningful upgrade on Condon without trading significant assets. To me the number one priority is still to ensure we have three legit scoring lines. Make sure we can score so that average goaltending will be enough. Price is the best goalie in the world, and to me there is a huge difference between 1st and say like 5th. But goaltending has become a position with so much parity, i don't know there is much difference between the 20th and 40th best NHL goalie.

I saw Byron, but you are right on the other two. Byron and Ghetto seemed to switch on the line with Eller and Flynn. D-zone faceoffs meant Byron went out, O-zone meant ghetto.

Players like Kreider are HARD to scout. He was playing Massachusetts High School Hockey. Now personally I didn't see a game of Kreiders, cause they just weren't available, but i have seen players like this in similar leagues. I remember seeing Joe Colbourne when he was playing Junior A hockey. Guys like that are light years ahead of their competition in those leagues. So its hard to figure out just how good they are when all the other guys on the ice with them are being dominated. Sure they are good... but how good... without other good players to play against, it can be deceiving.
