  2. I'm not sure if its been mentioned already, but Leksand with Ryder and Bouillon has advanced to Elitserien next season. With one game to go in Kvalserien, Leksand and Brynäs are five points ahead of third place Malmö. Ryder and Bouillon are first and third in scoring, with 12 (7-5-12) and 11 (2-9-11) points respectively in nine games. So it's not actually Habs players winning championships, but they took their team as far as possible.
  3. Talking about Theo, he was on "Hockeykväll" ("Hockey night") yesterday, helping the reporter putting on all the equipment and talking about being a goalie. It's near the end of the show, and that part is in English (of course ). With subtitles, for those who want to learn Swedish...you know who you are. There's another good piece in there, just after the halfway mark, about the size of goalie equipment now compared to 1983. They were here in Umeå (yeah, baby, yeah!) and a Björklöven goalie tries on the old stuff. He doesn't do very well and you can really see the difference in size! Well worth a look even if you don't understand the language. Click on "Hockeykväll 7/3" to the right
  4. What if you use the good ol' Alt key to write the letters you want? Hold it down, type the numbers and release. Alt+0214 is Ö Alt+0246 is ö It's not a very efficient way of writing, but still... :/)
  5. I think Djurgården is guaranteed a certain number of spots on the national team...
  6. That Theo picture reminded me (the cap at least) of this one that I saw recently. Theo enjoys the Stockholm nightlife [Edited on 2005/2/11 by thunderbutt]
  7. Nope. Although, if you were to read how people write, you'd still be confused if they're using the apostrophe or not... :eyes: It's that dang English language I tells ya...
  8. I saw the game length was 2:34, and that the three games before this one all have been around 2:30. Is that the normal length for an AHL game? Just a detail I haven't thought about. By the way, is there any difference in length compared to an NHL game?
  9. I took a (blurry) picture at today's game. It's Trent Hunter and Ric Jackman, now in Nyköping and Björklöven, talking to each other during the warm-up. Just an image impossible to consider a while ago... Hunter's Nyköping won 5-4, but he was held scoreless. He did manage three shots on goal though. Jackman had two assists and seven(!) shots on goal. 10. I agree with puck7x. My thoughts exactly.
  11. Sure are. Which makes me snicker since GM Håkan Loob was so sure that his team didn't need any improvement...
  12. Hey everyone! My name is Daniel and I've been registered for some time without posting, so I thought I'd come out of the shadows. I noticed there are other Swedes here as well, which is nice. :/) I've been a Habs fan since I watched the 1992-93 season on TV. (good ol' days when you could watch the NHL here without paying a bundle of money for extra cable channels...) I'm from Umeå, which is up north and home of Björklöven, Swedish champions in 1987 (another good ol' days there ) They're in the same division as Ryder's Leksand, and I've been working as a scorekeeper for six seasons now. I did the same thing during the 1999-2000 World Junior Championships, which was cool. I'll be quiet now. [Edited on 2004-12-30 by puck7x]
