  1. Yes it's a great song. I've seen them on a dutch Festival Pinkpop and they were (together with N*E*R*D) the best act i saw. I only knew there first singles. But after that i loaded there whole cd and it's great!
  2. Listening 2 some idiots on Teamspeak (thats a communication program for online gaming and other stuff) On-topic: about 2 listen 2 some Franz Ferdinand. Dunno if the hype is already in north America, but they are great. A band from England (Seen them on a local festival)
  3. SO i ended up going 2 luxembourg, and stayed there for 1,5 week. I'm just 2 hours back and checking up all the NHL/Habs news there is. Had a great holiday with good weather and lot of cycling, made some great mountainbike tours. I think i boosted up my health, hahah! Puck have a great time in Europe, i know you will!
  4. Balej & Garon! (zubrus was always my favorite with the NHL game, topscorer, hehe)
  5. I think Souray would make a good Captain! I think if there would be another C, the most chance would be a Defenceman of montreal. Don't see a leader behind koivu in the attack. (Is Bonk a leader type??Not 2 become C immeadiately, he's just 2 short with the team, but just wanna know)
  6. Hate: Red Wings Leafs Bruins Don't like: Rangers Carolina (cuz 2002) Teams i like: Avs (like the jersey and realy like Sakic, and have some other great players) Columbus(i realy like Zherdev & Nash)
  7. German league isn't that bad either (at least i was for a long time, i believe there are some more money probs now, at least the stadions are great, maybe as big as in the NHL)
  8. Saku Koivu, can't say anything else. I saw the guy playing in the World Championship, i believe it was around '93 (that's the only hockey we use 2 get in Holland, on Eurosport, now that's off also) I was always a fan of the Finnish hockey team, there Sisu, and fabolous players. A real team. And that year Koivu was the best, so i was immediately a big fan off him. He just had "It". From then i started 2 get more into the NHL league, followed it more and more, and he realy made me a Habs Fan. (if he leaves i will stil be a habs fan!!) I went 2 Montreal especially 2 see the stadium, unfortunately there were no tours, it was play-off time, vs Carolina. The next day was a home match, unfortunately we had 2 leave the next day otherwise we would miss our plane in NY (we had 2 weeks holiday in the north east!) [Edited on 2004/7/24 by Dutch_Hab_Fan]
  9. Ryder (but i know it's hard putting up a great season as last season, especially when you're that young) But i think he's able 2 do it!
  10. I'm not into the MLB much, but what's the primary reason the team will leave montreal (i saw the team is owned by the other 29 teams) No enough spectators (they are all @ the habs games), not enough money?
  11. Adam Deadmarsh - shake it up (only a healthy one, but thats no gonna happen i think) Pavol Demitra- his skill Jason Allison - like the way he play's [Edited on 2004/7/23 by Dutch_Hab_Fan]
  12. Too many of you guys are obsessed with "playing youngsters", as opposed to "old(er)" guys like Perreault, Dowd, Sundstrom, Quintal (last year). Most of you guys don't even want to sign old guys back, because you think it would make room for younger stars...which obviously, wouldn't work too well down the season. Young players can be great but lots of them are flash in the pans. Not to mention although usually full of energy, can become liabilities. If you're solution to losing Kovalev is playing a youngster, the Habs will have big problems next year. I know playing a youngster had his disadvantages. But i would put all my hopes on Kovalev, and would rather see a youngster than Selanne (because he had his change). I also want 2 see the other "old"guys re-signed. [Edited on 2004/7/22 by Dutch_Hab_Fan]
  13. Completely right, Selanne had his chance. Kovy is alright, but i would say if he won't come, play a youngster!! [Edited on 2004/7/21 by Dutch_Hab_Fan]
  14. Yes that's realy great. In 2 weeks i'll be heading for France, for a week Mountainbiking. We also made plans for next year. The plan is 2 cruise through Scandinavia with a car or camper. Just with some friends. Probably 6 hours driving and i'm in Scandinavia, realy close all. BTW your lucky, the weather is finally turning around. Been realy bad here (for summer conditions i mean)
  15. Yup Enschede, thats the city near me, where also that Soccerclub is from. I also Study there. It's 15 minutes by car! Hehe nice, didn't know. We'll see when he shows up again!
  16. Yes we all have bikes. Holland is realy a cyclecountry, probably the most cylcepaths of the world (for such a small country ) I think soon there will start some practice tourneys in preperation for the new soccer season. There is the Amsterdam Tourney, with 4 teams. (real big names like:Arsenal/River Plate/ Panathinaikos & Ajax) And the Vodaphone Tourney in Manchester with PSV Eindhoven, probably on TV. Great Tourneys!! you mean from the Espn board? i'm the one from that board that went here, i had the same name there [Edited on 2004/7/19 by Dutch_Hab_Fan]
  17. How do you mean, second?? The club is FCTwente, a team that plays in the Sub-Top of Holland. Looking 2 the history, it's the fourth team of Holland, after Ajax/Feyenoord and PSV. The team comes from a town near the one i live in!
  18. Hehe great id! A sig for this forum. I'm in a gaming squad, and we have some sig designers ourselfs. They're nuts about making those things (i don't know what the fun is, but if they like it, so be it, hahaha), now they're designing one for me. They're quite good.
  19. Hehe maybe they play a half season, just like the NHL might be. (like the NBA a couple of years ago)
  20. Ah so you're going 2 the south of holland! Holland is not so big as you know, so driving 2 hours and you're at the coast. Driving 3 hours and you're in Amsterdam. But Maastricht is also a nice city. They have a nice square with lots of places where you can have a drink. For the rest, i'm not that familiar with the south. Have some relatives there, that's all. I'm from the east. (maybe you could see a soccer match, teams are preparing for the new season, starting in August) And yes i'm glad 2 be here, seen some familiar posters. And enough stuff 2 read.:/)
  21. SO finally found this forum, kinda tired of the ESPN Board (nothing serious is going on there anymore, euhm did it ever;)) Already found some serious interesting news here. Since i have more time lately i will post more on boards, i didn't post much on he ESPN board, but i've been there for a while. I already missed a lot of posters on that board, so now i know where they went. Think this board owns the place, looks the same like the board of my favorite dutch soccer team. Good Job all!! I already posted a hello on this board, but thought this is the right place. Thank God for "NO TROLLS' and no pop-ups/Ads! [Edited on 2004/7/18 by Dutch_Hab_Fan]
