  1. Time to get rid of Bergevin I'm tired of his constant tinkering with the bottom 6 forwards and the bottom pair d. This team has needed offense and mobility on the blue line and year after year he goes after band aids and scraps. The player development under his watch has a been pathetic just look at Lehkonen the only guy that looks good and it's because he was developed in Europe. Too many failures under his watch guys look confused, lost, scared to make a mistake.
  2. This team is pathetic absolutely 0 effort in 3rd and OT.
  3. World Cup, Olympics, and Playoffs you can always count on Pacioretty not showing up for them.
  4. Eklund is basically #fakenews he just keeps throwing out Habs rumors hoping one will eventually stick. Yesterday he mentioned habs doing something big but just left it vague. It's hard to see Montreal doing anything big(he mentions subban news big) with the cap situation. Today he's back to the Doan rumor he's been mentioning for about 3-4 years now. I can't see Bergevin wasting prospect and cap space on someone like Burrows and to pull off something big it's going to require moving either or both of Plekanec/Desharnais. I could see him trying to make a big move but end up coming around to cost efficient rentals. *just for the record I consider a big move something along the lines of Duchene not Doan, Hanzel, Iginla, Vrbata, etc.
  5. Galchenyuk and Markov to practice with the team tomorrow in Toronto. Maybe some good news finally on the injury front.
  6. As I said those are the 3 holes I see on the team, they probably won't fill all 3 but it's not out of the realm of possibilities that they fill 1 of the 3 before season starts. The others as I said could be filled in season by a young kid stepping up or at deadline when cap allows the addition of someone better. We'll have 5x 2nd round picks between 2017-2018 which seems to be gold these past few years at deadline. As for who I would get I don't have specific players in mind but it's not impossible to fill one of those spots. Emelin or Desharnais could still get moved.
  7. Yea, looking at the lineup we have improved but there's still a lot of work to do. For me I think you want a middle 6 LW that can at least start the season at 2nd line LW, a tough to play against 3rd C to replace Desharnais, and a mobile PMD to replace Emelin. I doubt they fill all 3 of those but if they can at least do 1 more before the season it would be a plus. The rest you can maybe fix in season either by a young kid stepping up (Hudon/Lehkonen) or trade deadline with our 5x 2nd round picks in next 2 drafts.
  8. I know nothing about him but I am hearing he has very good advanced stats.
  9. He hasn't even officially signed yet and I'm pretty sure he's already in it.
  10. I agree there is no denying this guy is highly talented and skilled. The main problem is this is the exact type of player Therrien seems to hate. With the rumors of Ladd to islanders, lucic to edmonton, eriksson to vancouver, Okposo to Minn/Buffalo, and Stamkos already in Tampa this to me seems like a panic move by MB.
  11. I really don't get it keep talking about character/leadership and trade away Subban. Then add this guy who apparently Weber isn't too fond of.
  12. I'm starting to think so too. Seems like Lucic Edmonton or Dallas, Ladd bunking up with Doug Weight on long island, Okposo wants no part of MTL.
  13. I honestly think Montreal had a done deal with either Edmonton or Vancouver only if Dubois was available at those slots. If you look at MBs face at the draft table he looked really out of it and upset he was actually making that pick. I just think Sergachev was BPA on their board that also filled a need so at 9 they were going to take him regardless.
  14. Yea, I think it would be pretty pathetic if he's booed. If fans want to let out frustrations they should be directed at Therrien on opening night when he is introduced.
  15. But we need more leadership. I'm not sure how we'll fit in another D when we sign Backes, Staal, and Ladd the more captains the better.
  16. He's apparently really good friends with Shea Weber.
  17. You know it's funny that you say that. The other day on TSN someone was saying along the lines that yes Sergachev is NHL ready but they don't really have a babysitter for him. He said maybe you roll the dice if you say have Doughty or Weber. That being said I don't think Sergachev will be with habs this season. I think this was just pure MT/MB not liking Subban and overreacting to the disaster that was last year.
  18. Well any faith I had in Bergevin has officially left the building.
  19. Horrible trade, Shea Weber has lost a step not the same player.
  20. Yea, I figured after the Shaw signing they would look for another 3rd line RW they view can slot up if needed. In their eyes Dale Weise fits that bill and I can see them employing that exact line you mention. To MB/MT Fleischmann-Desharnais-Weise worked as a 3rd line so why can't Andrighetto-Desharnais-Weise. It all comes down to money and Weise is probably trying to cash in.
  21. I think he views Shaw as a top 6 forward on this team thus the investment in both Money and draft picks. With that being said I definitely think his primary target now is going to be Ladd. I think he's going for a LWer that can play behind Pacioretty and then he'll look for an affordable 10-15g scorer for the 3rd line. He's made it pretty clear leadership and cup experience is number 1 on his list.
