thanks for the info, im guessing we played with an extra defenseman this game, seeing as kosty didnt play. Who dominated play? was it just a luck win, or did we come out with a bang? -
This seems kinda odd seeing ive been on this board for so long, but i never took the time to find out how to keep viewing new messages as they come. Do we keep having to refrsh the page, or is there an easier way to do this? kinda what im asking is there a way to get it like an online chat room, where we can see ppls messages on one screeen, for each topic?

Interesting to seewhat our lineup actually shakes up to be, i wonder if kovalev is just coming back early cause everyone else is out? No way they play two rookies on the top line, whens the last time you saw tht in montreal...hmmm -
What would your Team Canada look like?
Redlight60 replied to jetsniper's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
it would have a change in coaching! 2 of the coahes outta there -
I was suprised how wel he played last night, he got playing time and didnt look out of place. I'm glad he is finally getting playing time somewhere. We can skate better than i thought also. Anyone notice how many ppl on anaheims roster an average hockey fan wouldnt know?

How can perezoghin be playing on the 4th line? The guy has to be on your top two, and higgins is down pretty far too. Im suprised bulis is siiting the second, not the third. Watrch out for a sluggish start, if we get through the first period, we should be aok -
And who can forget the immortal Red Light Racicot? i dunno, i guess i did when i made up my name?

Last night i attended a peterborough petes game, they played ottawa. Gregory Stewart- I was keeping a close eye on him the whole game, but he didnt play much in the first period. I dont know what his scouting report is, but theres what i thought. He played mostly on the third line(mind you this is a very good petes team, i think they are ranked fourth in the chl), but in the third period was shifted to the second line and played with Downie(use to be on the spitfires). His play in the defnsive zone is lacking to say the least, he floats, simple as that. He knows how to get open for the breakout pass though. He had a beauty pass to downie on a onetimer that scored, after stweart carried the put up the whole ice and illuded a checker. He puts forth a good effort in the offensive sone and has very good hand eye coordination. He isnt that physical, but i noted he is able to bounce of checks. Very nice passing skills, and i never saw him shoot the puck. He can skate well and dangle, but needs to add weight. He's not a burner, but never seemed to be beat to a put(IN THE OFFENSIVE ZONE, not defensive) Overall not too impressive, and im not sure if he will ever make it as a player in the nhl, not good enough offensively to play on your top two lines, and not good enough defensively to play on your bottom too. But this is based on one game, remember that Of note regarding the petes, an average looking team in the first two periods, but they light it up in the third( that seems to be the case in all the games ive watched of them) final score 6-2. Jordan Staal, looks like a Spezza is his size and how he plays out there(looks to be a good player for whoever drafts him). Little Ryder had a beauty goal in the game, nice slapshot from just inside the blueline. Jordan Morrison and Jamie tardiff are very good players, actually the best on the ice this night, play gritty, in the corners, competes and has finesse. There are so many good things to say about this team, they have so much depth, not the most exciting team to watch till the final period of all there games, but get the job done. London, now thats an exciting team, but there top heavy.

Am i overrating our players? Alright, whihc of them am i overrating? Is zednik not a very good second line winger?( he will get you at least 25 goals a year), riberio(he is struggling this year, can still put up the point when he wants to, im not saying he is a top 1st line center here) and souray is struggling also, but there were some who thought souray had a chance for the norris if he didnt get injured two years ago, i wasnt one of them, but he is a very good number 3 defenseman, big, strong, great shot, sticks up for teamates? please tell me guys where i went wrong?

Three Hab prospects named to Team Canada's tryout camp
Redlight60 replied to Leafs Suck's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
Im not really sold on if they will all make it. You Latandresse hasnt been as good on his team as we expected(but will probably play a second line role), Price has had a bad yr(and other goalies are going in hot, ala pogge) and Chipchara, i have o clue, i havent been following him. Maybe he'll play a role like upshall did a few years back -
Id rather him not come back early juistcause the teams in a slide, id rather him ocome back fully healed so the injury does not become a nagging one.

Ribs (1.1M), Zednik (1.8M) and Souray (2.6M) for Marleau (4M)+ a nobody .......what??? are u kidding? You could argue that deal was better than the one for thornton. I wouldnt do that deal. Zednik is a bonafide top second line winger, and an average 1st line guy, Riberio, a number 2 offensive center and Souray, a very good number 3 defenseman on a good team. Marleau is a very good first line center. Does that make for an even trade? Are they happy with mcauley as ther second line center? i duno, i see a lot of riberio in him. If you went with a souray, and riberio and a 4th for a marleau and a fahey, thats more realistic.
