  1. Beck! New album "The Information" out soon! Till then, I've been playing a lot of Odelay
  2. I'm aware, which is why I wonder why they don't wait till 2 weeks of the season have gone by to release the game so they can do the updated rosters. *shrug* No love for the consoles. I've never played any of the 2k series
  3. I started to do that at one point. My brother got the game in January, so I went through it doing all the trades and fixing players stats, and creating a bunch of players (a 2006 hockey game without Crosby and Ovechkin??!) That lasted about 2 weeks, then I a) ran out of space for creating players, and B) got tired of seeing three playmakers on a line and failing despite seeing those same 3 players tearing up the NHL.
  4. Well their tagline isn't EA Games: Challenge Most Things, so I'm not able to be completely accurate.
  5. You know what, you're right. They are pretty much exactly the same. Why did I think EA would actually do research and make the game as realistic as possible? I forgot it was EA. As I parodied in another thread... EA GAMES: RUIN EVERYTHING
  6. Not a good list. Latendresse over Kostitsyn? That's a hype machine for you. Murray not on the list despite being on the club? The only reason I see for this is if he is 3 games from graduating. Locke not making it because he has motivation problems? That didn't stop Marcel Hossa from making the list up until his trade. Not to mention "He has the offensive talent to make it to the bigs and the game is more amenable to smaller players." How can someone type that and not put him in the top 20?
  7. Hell yes! Seriously! Enough is enough! ... ... so what are the chances of Carter coming to Montreal?
  8. what? EA not actively trying to make their games better? Lies!!! ALL LIES!!!!
  9. I feel as though I should get in on this... and I can think of nothing better than one of Steve Begin, perhaps in the act of a crushing hit? Edit: Top Notch

    Vodka

God bless the guy who invented vodka coolers. No beer breath, goes down easy, and girls like them. In fact, give that man the Nobel Prize for Panty Loosening
  11. The Time Splitters series, cult classic FPS. The first was a launch title, has a horrible story mode (Go from A to B, grab item, go from B to A) but has the quickest and smoothest multiplayer I've ever seen. Also, the Challenge mode is, well, challenging. It's becomes a cult classic, and you can probably pick up a used copy for 5 bucks. Timesplitters 2 attempted a better story line, (and succeeded,) with more objectives and options and such, but was still pretty weak, though fun. The multiplayer improved Timesplitters 3 is what they wanted to do all along. It has great gameplay, brilliant and funny dialogue and cutscenes, and improved the consistently great multiplayer. If you only get one, this is the one to get.
  12. True. But it does a weirder orbit than the other planets. Much-maligned Pluto doesn't make the grade under the new rules for a planet: "a celestial body that is in orbit around the sun, has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a ... nearly round shape, and has cleared the neighborhood around its orbit." Pluto is automatically disqualified because its oblong orbit overlaps with Neptune's That's what I was basing my post on.
  13. Apparently, astronomers got really bored and, for some reason, developed an unqualified level of self-importance. Pluto not a planet, come on! It orbits the sun! Just because it does it in an oval instead of a circle shouldn't be reason for a demotion.
  14. 7th? 14th? We bring in more offense, get faster, and have two capable goaltenders battling each other for the #1 spot. Is losing Theodore so bad that the Habs stagnate this season? Did the media notice he shit the bed last season? Is losing Zednik that bad? No no, it must be Sundstrom! Curses! Honestly, the Habs improved. I don't think every team in the east improved as much as they did. Hell, look in the NE division. Buffalo lost dmen and Dumont, and gained...? Ottawa lost Havlat and Smolinksi, and gained Gerber. Can't wait to face them in the playoffs! Toronto gained Hall Gill, Kubina, Peca and Raycroft. Leafs checklist: Get slower - done. Sell your future to solve your problems now - Almost. Raycroft solves nothing. Boston - Gained Chara and Savard. The jury is still out on this one. And aside from the Rangers, did any team in the East get better? I'm a bit flustered.
  15. well if we're going to skip childlike and go straight to effeminate, how about Clairabelle?
  16. I think I'll call you Sport, or Skippy from now on. Something childlike...just for you.
  17. It's okay jets it just makes you less of a man.
