I will be optimistic only when the Habs do not end up 0 - 6 against the two worst teams in the league.

I hope he does well, except against the Habs. That's generally how I feel about any former Habs. The only ones I have trouble cheering for are the guys that underachieve for Montreal, end up pissing off the fans, then go somewhere else and shine. That always hurts. In Theo's case though, he's had the season from Hell. I sympathize.

Apparently Habs can't beat the worst teams in the league. I wonder when it will occur to the players, "Holy shit! We're a much better team than these guys!" Thank god we don't play St Louis, Chicago, or Columbus.

Who needs to step up? um...everybody? And I don't mean that everybody is playing badly, but it's a race for the playoffs....everyone should be thinking "I need to do more"

Gainey must be confident he can sign both, otherwise I gotta imagine Edmonton or Vancouver would have loved Huet at the deadline.

If Gainey doesn't bring in a proven scorer this offseason....I just don't know. We have 2/3rds of a top line, a bunch of second liners, and a slew of of 3rd liners. Granted, this is an upgrade over the 1/3rd of a top line we've have for a decade, but gosh darnit, how about one more fantastic player?

The goaltending situation is pretty good. If Huet and Danis resign, Aebischer is great trade bait. If Huet resigns but Danis doesn't, Huet and Aebischer are an excellent tandem again. If Danis resigns but Huet doesn't, Aebischer gets the #1 role and Danis is the backup. Any way you look at it, every option is so much more affordable than having Theo here.

Apparently Gainey is confident that the Habs can find some offense within the organization. (The same organization that hasn't been able to score all year.) It doesn't help to mention it....but may I once again iterate that I wish Gainey had brought in a capable scoring forward this year.

Well, the inability to score has at least been consistent this year. At least we know what needs to be addressed this summer (or should have been addressed at the trade deadline.)
