  1. And so it ends

    Season over!

Higgins = 20 goal campaign. *ACCOMPLISHED*

Souray = Career high in points *ACCOMPLISHED*

Bulis = 20 goal campaign *ACCOMPLISHED*

Komisarek = New career high of 5! *ACCOMPLISHED*

Ryder = 30 goal season! *ACCOMPLISHED*

Higgins is 2 goals from a 25 goal campaign, and 2 points from 40.

Plekanec and Perezhogin both 1 goal from 10

Bulis is 1 point away from a career high in points (of 41)

Markov is 4 goals from a career high (of 14)

Rivet is 2 goals from a career high (of 9)

Koivu needs 5 goals to overtake his career high (of 21) but just need 3 for a 20 goal season.

Ribiero need 4 goals for a 20 goal season

Rivet and Dandenault play a full season.

  2. It's pretty much granted that Kostitsyn will be on the team, and will be taking either Sundstrom or Bulis's spot.

I agree though. Once the Dogs were eliminated from the playoffs he should have been up and replacing Sunny. Unless the lesson to be learned was how to keep playing strong even when the remaining games are worth nothing more than pride.

  3. The only thing I am disappointed in is his complete lack of finish for most of the season. He is supposed to be a goal scorer, something he hasn't done in quite awhile.

However, when you have a third line composed of 2 rookies and changing linemates who are more often being demoted for poor play instead of actually fitting well with the lineup, I don't expect much from them.

However, for what little they've done offensively lately, they haven't been playing badly at defense as well.

  4. With 1 Game left:

Higgins = 20 goal campaign. *ACCOMPLISHED*

Souray = Career high in points *ACCOMPLISHED*

Bulis = 20 goal campaign *ACCOMPLISHED*

Komisarek = New career high of 5! *ACCOMPLISHED*

Ryder = 30 goal season! *ACCOMPLISHED*

Higgins is 2 goals from a 25 goal campaign, and 2 points from 40.

Plekanec is 2 goals from 10, Perezhogin 1 goal from 10.

Bulis is 2 points away from a career high in points (of 41)

Markov is 4 goals from a career high (of 14)

Rivet is 3 goals from a career high (of 9)

Koivu needs 5 goals to overtake his career high (of 21) but just need 3 for a 20 goal season.

Ribiero need 4 goals for a 20 goal season

Ryder, Rivet and Dandenault all still capable of a full season played.

It's safe to assume who has a shot and who doesn't, but I'll leave them up anyway.

  5. Here's how I left it:

I had collected everyone's names and locations, I had sent everything to spathe and he put it all together with his design.

I do remember one conversation either with spathe, puck7 or sakiqc where one said that either puck or sakiqc would get it directly to Gillet.

  6. Sorry I'm late on this guys. I didn't even get to watch the game. House hunting in Toronto is a bitch.

    Thanks JMMR!

    With 2 Games left:

  7. With 3 Games left...nothing changes from 4 games left:

Higgins = 20 goal campaign. *ACCOMPLISHED*

Souray = Career high in points *ACCOMPLISHED*

Ryder currently sits 1 goal from a 30 goal season.

Higgins is 2 goals from a 25 goal campaign, and 2 points from 40.

  8. Koivu might be more of a 1B or a #2 center but of the 3, Koivu is the closest to being a true topliner. Higgins doesn't belong on the 1st line and Ryder definitely doesn't. We will never go anywhere with Ryder on the top line. We need someone with a better over all game. I'd really like to see Kovalev and Koivu put back together on the top line. Maybe even try Zednik with them again. If not, then Zhog.

Remember what happened to Ribs - Ryder last year in the playoffs? Koivu playing with Ryder (and Higgins) and Kovalev playing with Ribiero forces accountability. No more hiding behind your fellow inexperienced linemates, play up to the proven playoff performer beside you.

I say keep the lines as they are, especially with the recent chemistry.

The only change I want to see is someone finally stepping up and shutting the revolving door on the second line winger. Zed? Bulis? Perezhogin? Anybody care to step up?

  9. Zednik scored, I assume he gets a spot back in the lineup, but if Bonk is out for another game the question needs to be asked:

Does Gainey risk these last important games on rookie Lapierre who plays a similar style as Begin, or does he go with the veteran presence of Sundstrom, despite the fact he's been doing precisely ######-all lately?

  10. i believe if all else fails, they do a sudden-death three-legged race...

who do you send? I say Bulis and Koivu

"So, if the Beers beat Detroit and Denver beats Atlanta in the American Southwestern Division East Northern, then Milwaukee goes to the Denslow Cup, unless Baltimore can upset Buffalo and Charlotte ties Toronto, then Oakland would play LA and Pittsburgh in a blind choice round robin. And if no clear winner emerges from all of this, the two-man sack race will be held on consecutive Sundays until a champion can be crowned."
