  1. I think it was Brian Schottenheimer, he was the QB coach in San Diego for a few years (02-05 I think). LT might've just preferred the familiarity. Although Washington sticking around doesn't seem likely because Alvin Keels is a dick.
  2. Tomlinson and Jones aren't even the same kind of running back. LT has exceptional pass-catching and route running skills whereas Thomas Jones is just a power runner. Two different dynamics. We've got a better Thomas Jones in Shonn Greene so no point in keeping TJ. Greene is the starter so wear and tear doesn't matter.
  3. You want to build a decent gaming resume? Beat all Zelda and Final Fantasy games (well not FF XI because that one doesn't really count, neither will XIV. They need to keep the MMORPGs separate from the numbered titles). I get pissed off when I die in the NES Mario games now. I beat that shit when I was 3, I should be able to do it 20 years later (Holy shit, it's been 20 years, I feel old). Something Wii related: Red Steel 2 is apparently good. Atleast from what I've heard from people pirating the game, theres no reviews yet.
  4. Just saw the hit now, that was actually pretty brutal. I'd say the double-standard will still fly here and Ovie gets 1-2 games (he got off really easy on his other suspension earlier in the year as well) even though he's officially ended Campbell's season. If this was some nobody, it'd be 8-10 .Although who knows now considering Cooke didn't get anything and he has a huge history.
  5. You're mistaking what I'm saying, of course it's Greene's team. Leon will be higher on the depth chart too if we re-sign him. If we wanted another guy to run the ball, we would've just re-signed Jones. Tomlinson is coming in for his pass catching abilities, we basically added another receiver. 10 touches or less is pushing it though. We're a rushing by committee team, touches will be spread fairly evenly. Tomlinson won't be riding the bench a lot. Not when our Offensive Coordinator is the reason he's here. Oh and I just remembered LT hates the Pats. Hopefully he can stir the pot with them. *electric slides out of topic*
  6. Woohoo! Shonn Greene, Ladanian Tomlinson and hopefully Leon Washington. I like. Our O-Line is 10x better then the one in San Diego, I'm not worried about LT's drop in production.
  7. Well, I guess you're happy now, haha. Quinn reportedly traded to the Broncos for Peyton Hills, a 2011 6th round pick and a conditional pick in 2012. Conflicting reports on Tomlinson. Some say he hasn't made his mind up, others saying it's pretty much a done deal that he goes to the Jets. Meanwhile the Jets put a full page ad in a Kansas City paper thanking Thomas Jones for his service, I thought that was classy.
  8. Yeah, I guess he left with a Vikings jersey. I bet he wants to see if theres still a starting gig out there for him before resigning himself as a back-up though. Hard to say if he'd get more time in New York then in Minnesota when Shonn Greene will probably have an expanded role after his incredible run in the playoffs. Then of course theres Leon, if we can get him under contract.
  9. LT leaves Minny without a deal. Next visit will be with the Jets. We could definitely use him with T.J signing with the Chiefs. Surprised the Pats have made no inquiries on these guys.
  10. Ain't that the story of the league.
  11. Um, Fanpuck, the first post is from 2007
  12. I don't know if I could possibly enjoy Lost more then I am right now.
  13. Yeah, because it was something I was interested in/commenting on/whatever you want to call it. I don't care about random spats between other people.
  14. I generally don't log what random internet people like, although I guess I can kinda remember now. And lol, A Clockwork Orange is one of my all-time favourites. But then you've got Dr.Strangelove, Full Metal Jacket, Barry Lyndon. I haven't seen 2001 yet but I've read a ton about it, I'd probably like it. People still crap on it a lot so I delay it. Yes it does. Now go approve my trade.
  15. He was nominated, he didn't "win"
  16. Yeah, people have been nominated before for the same role between the Razzies and Oscars (actually it might of just been one person). I can't remember who off the top of my head but I remember reading about it before. Edit: Ok, I meant yeah to BTH. Fanpuck appears to be on crack.
  17. Cameron probably wipes his ass with the money he got off of Avatar, I'm sure he's been crying since last night. Hell, he's probably got 100s for tissues too. Oh yeah, Sandra Bullock set a record this weekend. First person to ever win Best and Worst Actress in the same weekend.
  18. Favreau debuted a new Iron Man 2 trailer on Jimmy Kimmel last night.   Also read the Marc Webb is receiving input from Cameron on Spider-Man. He probably won't come on officially but he does seem to be a little bit involved.
  19. The Hurt Locker pretty much destroyed Avatar tonight. Called it. I don't care though, I loved The Hurt Locker just as much. Congratulations to Kathryn Bigelow!
  20. Waltz seems like the biggest front-runner for any of the major categories so I'm not too concerned about that one. Best Actress seems like it's Bullocks though as disappointing as that is. Mulligan is one of my new favourites. Anna Kendrick doesn't have a hope in hell either. I really don't want Mo'Nique to win though. She's loud and annoying. My orange juice came out of my nose.
  21. I would kill for the Jets to pick up Dez Bryant but our playoff run took him waaaaay out of our position. We have more pressing needs anyway. Another pass rusher at OLB would be nice (Gholston is officially a colossal bust), some more depth at CB and RB too. A return by T.J isn't being ruled out yet. Although Leon might be out soon because he has an agent more annoying then Drew Rosenhaus (who coincidentally represents T.J). I'm still iffy on the Cromartie deal. If he can return to form, AFC East QBs are shitting their pants. If not, well, it's just Lito Sheppard all over again. Too bad we couldn't work out a deal for Asomugha. Yep, uncapped year. Too bad the Jets can't take advantage of it because of the top 8 rule or whatever it is. We can't sign anyone till someone signs one of our guys. And the player we sign can't make more then the player that left. Peppers could've fit in well with us too, I've been a big fan of him.
  22. Yeah, NBC renewed their whole Thursday lineup yesterday. I was unnecessarily sweating it out over The Office just because it was renewed in January last year. It finally beat Grey's Anatomy in the ratings this week. Community and Parks and Rec also managed to pull decent numbers while going against American Idol. I thought you didn't like Community though.
  23. Quick up to date stuff on the off-season, if any cares to discuss off-season football. No idea if I'll do a mock draft again this year since it was such an annoyance to keep it up to date and I wasn't very close anyway. -Bears add Julius Peppers and Chester Taylor -Ladanian Tomlinson, Brian Westbrook and Thomas Jones all released. -Miami makes Karlos Dansby the highest paid ILB in the game -Giants make Antrel Rolle the highest paid safety in the game -Ravens trade for Anquan Boldin -Jets trade for Antonio Cromartie -Brandon Marshall paid a visit to Seattle -NFL looking at a rule change for OT in the playoffs. The first team to score a TD would automatically win the game.
  24. I'm in the "I don't really care" category just because nothing can happen that will change my opinions of each movie. For that reason, I'll just go with who I want to win. Best Picture: The Hurt Locker Best Director: Kathryn Bigelow Best Actor: Jeff Bridges Best Actress: Carey Mulligan Best Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz Best Supporting Actress: Anna Kendrick
