  1. There's still a chance thanks to MAB! Go Habs.
  2. When is our Hartford lot in life going to end?
  3. I admit frustration with Martin. The overall system is awesome when the gears are well greased and things are going well. But, what I'm disappointed with his lack of changing strategy offensively/defensively when the game merits it. Scream at the bench or get annoyed all you want Martin, but if the other team has 3 defenders in their slot - you're not going to get a lot of 1 timers out of that. Thank goodness the Gionta goal resulted from support. It's difficult for a goalie to deal with crashing net style and/or player support with 2 players in the crease area. Beyond that, there are likely not too many one timer opportunities that will materialize in the 3rd. Our offensive zone pressure has no real cycle. There are flashes from Gomez and Kostitsyn but no real cycling - mostly Carolina is forcing us to the permeter. Neutral zone awareness and NOT giving up the blueline is not on this teams' mind. And Jacques, please learn to adapt to have 2 defenders deal with 2 forecheckers. I'd prefer getting to the puck with 2 backcheckers and sacrificing the 3 player slotcoverage. Let Halak deal with that. Geez
  4. Put Price in. I'm not suggesting Halak deserves to be pulled but moreso a wake up call. F***! If we go down 3-0 I wouldn't be surprised. ...again a wake up call pull - not Halak's fault. This is pathetic
  5. We have 36 minutes ton get one stinky goal and hold the fort. Anyone feel like we can do it?
  6. Hopefully "the mirror stares back hard" to quote "Metallica's Sanitarium".
  7. McGuire stating the obvious with Cam Ward. Bah, I liuke his insight but sometimes I feel like he's insulting my intelligence and/or talking to the brainless fans who don't understand the game. Of course Ward should be an early and overall concern in this game. He was the last time we played them. Who knows what is going to happen. Maybe Ward will have a bad 3rd. Maybe Pierre is right and it's the Ward show again. Just don't jump the gun McGuire. There's 53:39 to go right now. It amazes me how much he creates conversation and I'm guilty. He certainly has the Don Cherry "love me or hate me" technique hammered down. Fans talk about him because they like him and critics talk about him for his faults. Ratings galore! As much as I like him and get frustrated with him during times he does have that skill. Still, on this night - at this moment - Shat up Pierre about Ward
  8. The Rangers are all over them. Leafs suckies look like an AHL reject team tonight. No forecheck or presence on the offensive blueline for the buds. Pathetic. No favors from Leafies tonight.
  9. They've seemed to have woken up. And Buffalo is beating the Rangers 3-2 midway through the 2nd. Lundqvist pulled in favor of Auld
  10. Get out of the period. That's all they need to do right now. Then hit the reset button! They will come back and press but don't fall into too deep a hole Habs!
  11. Yeah, there could be a secret weapon to add to the playoff potential picture. I love the way both are playing right now. Sergei is getting into the dirty areas and he's winning takeaways for some time now. His Olympic experience seems to have waken him up. Shutout streak ends for Halak at 132:29
  12. The maximum the Thrashers can achieve in points is 87. If the Rangers lose in regulation their best possible output will equal 88 points. If the Habs win tonight they'll hit 88 points. Also if we win tonight we'll hit 40 wins. The Rangers have 36 wins presently meaning if they lose tonight, the best outcome for the Rangers for wins will be 39. DONE AND DONE GO HABS GO :hlogo:
  13. Habs can clinch if they win tonight coupled with a Rangers loss in regulation.
  14. Yup, that didn't go so well for the Flames :nono: And yes, Colorado prevails Agreed, they do need a reason to face the music. And with that Calgary is right back in the crapper. They're making me dizzy. One day they're dead, dead, dead and then there's a ghost of a chance. Heh, that door is looking more closed than ever.
  15. Insideout meaning he almost caused a goal and got one. And I posted about Lapierre immediately before he set up the GIFT for Pyatt! LAPIERRE!
  16. Kudos to O'Byrne for this insideout story Also, kudos to Lapierre. He's born again it would seem
  17. Pens win but Atlanta loses in OT to gain 1 point. Still it's better than 2
  18. Holy moly - it's amazing how things that look so utterly hopeless can change. Now the Flames have new life and Jets, if you are out there I'm sure you like the idea but at another teams' (not Colorado) expense. May you live in interesting times. Pens still losing to Thrashers with 7:00 to go in the game. C'mon Pens, if they win this game in regulation and we beat Buffalo the Habs will have eclipsed Atlanta as a threat to us missing the playoffs. Then it'll only be the Rangers that are an indirect threat.
  19. The stars aligned for us on a Habs off night.
