  1. anyone know where I can listen to the game without spending 6$?
  2. Ding-Dong, the witch is dead. Bring on Duceppe! I like that guy. (aside from the fact that he is a seperatist!)
  3. As his agent made clear, 1.7 is worth way more there than here. He probably won't get taxed much, and his cost of living is lower. Also, he will get to play way more. I think this was the best decision for him since he wasn't getting what he wanted here. Too bad Carbo didn't give him a real chance instead if Samsonov. In retrospect he would have performed better, and cost less. Que sera sera ... good luck perogie!
  4. Go DOGS go! Too bad about the #### bros! Would have been nice to see them at work. Don't blame Sergi for leaving. THe kid is still young, he has been away from home for a while, he has already been through a pretty intensive playoffs with London, and he wasn't guaranteed a spot. He may as well go back home to relax, and get ready for training camp.
  5. Yeah, because we all know that Carpentry is an awesome spectator career that draws millions of viewers and fans ... I mean the marketing potential. You want to level the playing field, you'd have to outlaw commercial opportunities from sports events. Then you would see quite the shift. Wish that I could have retired at 21 ... I'd be in to business right now, and spend a lot of time traveling, and pursuing my hobbies ... oh wait ... I'm doing that now ... just a hell of a lot poorer.
  6. Price with 41 saves, and a first star. Outstanding! Wonder how much help he had from his friends (goal posts and D). I think the three star selection gives it away! Three Stars: 1. HAM - C. Price 2. MTB - M. Raymond 3. MTB - Y. Tremblay When you win a game, your goalie takes first star, and the next two are from the opposing team, you can almost be certain that your goalie was phenomenal!
  7. Briere's team is still in the playoffs. It would be seen as unethical to have legitimate trade discusions when his current team is still in the hunt. This can be nothing more than speculation!
  8. Double congrats to Souray! Glad he didn't let that super cutie of a wife get away!
  9. Woohoo! Go Dogs. I noticed that Carle wasn't on the score sheet either. Maybe they are just using the called up juniors in case of injuries. Would love to see A-cup in a por game though! See how well he fares.
  10. There is a picture of him practicing with the team in the Hamilton Spectator, but that is as far as I know. It would be very odd that he would leave after signing a contract. I hope he plays tonight!
  11. You been listening to too many MLK speeches! That kind of harmony only exists in a vacuum of nostalgia. Your in MTL sista ... we won't have any peace until the Nordiques come back!
  12. Yeah, this is how I judge where to live ... not on, culture, food, joi de vivre, people, etc. It is all about property values and unemployment rates. On my list Ottawa and all those other starchy clean sites beat out only the dead-end cities like Windsor, or London Ontario ... places where people look forward to growing up so that they can move away from them ... fast!
  13. Did the Government declare the culture war? No. Some wars are figurative. Like the war on Tourists ... it is a little heavy handed, but so is the treatment of tourist by US officials.
  14. I'm sure that there are a few other oddballs like you , however, he is taking his brother's place, and he is also on a fast track to the NHL. Furthermore, he was supposed to go to Hamilton, but sending him back to the juniors was a way to give him the opportunity to shine ... and it wasn't a statement of whether he could play with the bulldogs or not. The thing is, that these guys are all on the same team: the MTL Canadiens. They just haven't made it there yet ... but this is all of their clear objectives: make the big club. I personally am stoked to see him play. I think this will be excellent for his development, and for the rest of the players on the team's development. If Sergi can help bring them further, then they will all benefit. Also, Serghi will get more quality playing time with Grabovski, which is great. Go DOGS go!
  15. No, if it was that, it would say, "The US Government's war on Tourists". When we say America is at War on terrorism, it isn't limited to the government. There are troops and civilians participating in the war (cultural production is another form of combating something). Then there is the whole concept of Culture War, where different beliefs clash in public and private forums. Check it out here if you need more details: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture_war Now, I have responded directly to your response, and I have debunked it. So, I repeat: I believe you are letting your politics get in the way of your moderating.
  16. You regularly have to go to another country when you need to visit a country's Embassy or Consulate, because they do not have them in their own country. I needed a visa to work in Korea, so I had to go to Japan on a visa run. Everyone does it ... it is standard operating procedure. You probably had to go to the US for similar reason.
  17. It is the title of an article ... therefore you shouldn't change it. I believe you are letting your politics get in the way of your moderating. Yeah, not a big fan of US officials. They are very rude to me for the most part. I traveled with my handicapped brother, and they were even rude to him when he couldn't prove that his wheel-chair wasn't a bomb quickly enough. There is one thing about being cautious, and protective ... but being rude, condescending, etc ...that is uncalled for. I have met some nice US Officials, but they are the exception. I don't know what they eat with their cornflakes, but it must be nasty.
  18. Coaches are fond of saying, "He isn't that type of player" when something nasty goes down. It is dispicable. He is that kind of player, he just proved it with that hit. That hit is the kind of hit that should draw a large ban. It is not sportsmanly like. That kind of hit can seriously injure, and can jeopordize a career (Zednik, for example, was never the same player after he received his hit). Head shots have to come to an end!
  19. Yeah, but sooner than that, I'm looking forward to seeing li' #### and Carle on the Hamilton club for the drive towards the cup! Big #### would be good too, but who knows about how long that groin will keep him out!
  20. Three Stars: 1. HAM - M. Lapierre 2. HAM - R. O'Byrne 3. ROC - C. MacArthur
  21. 4-2, 2 mins to go 6-2, and that is all she wrote .... Dogs win!
