  1. how is the spirit of the city?! i wanna hear all you guys!!! LET'S MAKE THEM PAY FOR TAKING 3 GAMES FROM US... LET'S PARK MURRAY OR KOMISAREK IN FRONT OF THE NET ON THE POWERPLAY... THEY WANNA PLAY WITH FIRE? LET THEM BURN
  2. OK let's change the focus of these posts and figure out what we need to do to win. Rather than just blame players for not scoring, let's try to figure out how we can turn things around. Obviously we can score having scored 12 goals in the first two games (and yes Gerber was in net but Ward replaced him and we have scored 5 goals on this guy). So what has Carolina done to turn the serious around for them? It's really simple: 1) They jump out the gates in the beginning of every period. We've gone back on our heels and it has typically led to them drawing a penalty and scoring early. 2) In t
  3. i am angry, i am so angry... i'm like a tornado of anger whirling about
  4. this doesn't even make sense - gonchar played for the pens tonite against edmonton
  5. Fernandez is a great idea... why will he be available this summer?
  6. anybody willing to calculate these stats?
  7. you're right... his positioning for the first goal was brutal, in general its horrendous... the short handed goal he may have not even moved, he did the same thing against Murray in overtime when Kovalev gave up the puck in the playoffs in game 4... he wasn't even in the net while the 3rd goal was going in tonite, somehow he ended up on the far left side of the goal for whoever it was to eventually hit it into an open net... the shot from the point and crosby's 2nd goal, fine he was unlucky, but he gives up so many goals through his legs i don't know why he has a stick... his head is in the cl
  8. Theo's SV % broken down by 1, 2 and 3 goal leads and deficits... i've been a Habs fan forever and very rarely post, but he has been shocking in maintaining a lead and making a big save when it counts... yes he'll do it occassionally and you can make arguments that he gets screened, the defence doesn't clear space in front of the net, etc. but over the last 3 years such situations should even themselves out... he has been absolutely brutal this year and can't make a save when we need him to... the fans got it right today for cheering him after his occassional save... in my opinion, he has let '
  9. I'm going to start my reply by saying I love Theodore, I think he's a great goalie with loads of potential. However, whoever thinks Theo has been playing well this season, or even in the last 1-2 weeks, has to be high. You only have to look at his SV% at under 90% to see this. Yes Allison's goal was a fluke on Saturday night. But can you count how many times Belfour came up with a great save just when the Leafs needed it? Theodore, in my opinion, has not done it. He didn't do it last season, although he did a few times in the playoffs and was also stellar in the playoffs before that against Bo
  10. i don't know it seemed boston was controlling the puck fine in the first period... it was us who just couldn't play... i was waiting for CJ to call a timeout to calm the boys down... the first period was one of the worst i've seen us play this year so far

one of the guy involved in the hazing things at mcgill went to my high school... they showed it on tsn i found that pretty neat lol
  12. you won't get anything for him... he's a pilon
  13. moving zohgy to the 4th line is a mistake and bulis is better on the 3rd line... unfortunately we have to wait til zednik comes back to dump dagenais but zednik or higgins should be on the 2nd line... zohgy deserves to stay on the 1st line... his vision is fabulous
  14. it was a good game... we absorbed their pressure and reacted well... scoring late shows the heart of this team... but we gave up too many shots as usual which has always been our problem... we have to reduce that theo can't stand on his head every night
