Oh yeah, Toronto fluked their way into the East Final last year. Then they got completely destroyed, good memories there. As for my picks, I like BC in the West and though all logic dictates otherwise, I like Hamilton to pull it out somehow tomorrow. Based on my predictions last week, this means we'll have a Winnipeg-Edmonton final.

8,472 was the attendance at the Bell Centre, that seems a little lower than usual. Mind you, with most of their better players either called up or hurt, I think that could have scared off some of the casual game day crowd.

It may provide a boost to league revenues but with the CBA expiring, it's all but a foregone conclusion that the owners will be looking to cut the percentage of HRR that the players get (currently at 57% I believe). Even with the bit of extra revenue from Winnipeg (although attendance across the league is down which may offset that), the change in HRR% will almost assuredly drop the cap.

The Jays officially unveiled their new logo/uniforms today: I'm not a huge fan of more or less going entirely retro but the logo doesn't look bad...it's better than Miami's, that's for sure. I like the home/blue jerseys but the grey one leaves something to be desired.

I caught bits and pieces of that game yesterday (why I chose to do so is beyond me now), both teams just looked awful.

If it's a signing (I'd be skeptical given the 50 contract situation), I think it'd be Mara for the familiarity factor. I also think McCabe has basically retired unless he gets an offer from a team close to the Florida area, he said he doesn't want to uproot or leave his family to go play again. (Also known as the "I haven't got a good offer yet and need to put a better spin on it" strategy...)
