I need to look up why Fucale is ...sooo out of the Habs Plans.....
-
Shite! I knew the odds weren't that great anymore but to that extent?!??! im gonna look up the rules for the current lottery . Thanks dlbarlr Hopefully the pro tankers realize this
-
Makes me wanna see the breakdown of the past 10 draft Loteries.... how often do bottom 3 teams end up picking top 3
-
this season has taken such a toll on me i dont even remember where he played last season.. did he play all of last season at centre?
-
I think Galch is playing "better" hockey for at least 5 games now and probably isnt time to burst this bubble- yet. Furthermore i tend to agree witn RDS and other french outlets... Galxh isnt defensively responsible enough to be C - especially in the offensive zone. and i think Habs management believes that too. so while he's a Habs it wont happen
-
I agree with you Chicoutimi and thats why im concerned that this drought will likely lead to three decades without a cup. So be it edit- So to resume. Probable Habs plan: wait to see if they can sign Tavares or another top Cenre via UFA - IF NOT its Garage sale and Molson cleans upper management
-
According to Mike Bossy..... (and regardless if MB made Pat Brisson happy by punishing Markov for not being is client) John Tavares is never coming to Mtl. So Lets go July first 2018 for a minute... and lets assume a PLAN A ( i.e. Top UFA Centreman) is not happening what should Plan B be... and can we trust MB has a plan B AND C? before he's kicked to the curve?

the bounces... argg killling me
-
Lol. im sure theyare gonna have to change this... it kills the momentum (to say the least ha!) just as they scored i was going to say the difference between both teams in terms of the angle of the shot.. we just keep shooting from outside the box ... while the islanders seem to just wait til they get good scoring position. the goal did come from a rebound from a sharp angle... if the bounces were more even then...but this is hockey and luck isn't always on your side
-
finally schlemko not one righty on that PP
-
We need more right shots forwards... with Pacioretty current skating speed ... i havent seen him do anything from the right.... tonight in particular
-
Is our problem scouting, drafting, coaches, players or..........??
CoRvInA replied to REV-G's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
If memory serves me right i may even had created a thread of how higher number of righties correlated with greater success (here in HW around 2004-5) without any facts behind it i firmly believe that to be important for forwards -
I was gonna ask what was happening with what's left of the Brandon prust trade... how did he fair this last training camp? Not better than fair i can imagine as i didnt even remember his name when i looked him up

This may partly explain why we needed to claim Shaw No 2 -
Radu just scored his "signature" backhand goal against the bruins... sigh Stars up 2 nil
-
Didnt he seemingly get hurt " upper body " during the bruins game? I just remember seeing Shaw doing some "grimace" after some roughing....but in truth I cant recall what injury prone moment during that game
-
he may still end up being called up Question is... will Shaw version 2 be forced to play centre? lol
-
IN other words we got lots of months if not years of suffering ahead of us
-
totally Agree. And Im sure the org knows thats its a whole bunch of pieces now. But how would the saying go? ...And the Habs also need a Pink Ferrari? Lets get one thing done (and perhaps you are right that perhaps getting all of the above except the centre is preferred BEFORE getting the top C... But for the sake of the argument lets concentrate on a centre . A centre who has been missing since the prime years of Koivu (and he was a 2C). Again for the sake of discussion; IMO if MB got all other missing holes but the Centreman.. The mass crowd would still be dissatisfied. I am arguing that if really(on paper) its not that hard to get a Centreman... Then MB MUST be planning to fill all the hole on multi trades...and believes he can do so AND has got Molson's backing regardless of what the feedback from MTL and the sales and the advisors and his family friends say to his face
-
Totally was a third line centre and great checking centre at that. But I clearly remember Carbo trying him with the Kostys and others snipers hoping for a top 6 centre
-
Now if this translates into helping us get Tavares or another great player through convincing agents then so be it.. but im just saying i smell something fishy here
-
Im sorry if this was touched upon before but I think there is an extra reason why we lost Markov. and that has to do with Markov representing himself I tend to think that one of the tools that Bergevin (believes to have) has is his good dealings with certain Agents. And in my opinion there was a message laid out there, which is./was stated by Markov and his wife - the poor treatment- And i think there was pressure from Agents for M. Bergevin to do so in this manner.
-
This is another tell tell sign that not only did Therrien have to go but M.Bergevin needs to kick out the other two ass coaches - and im sad to say that
-
Ha of course Gomez is beyond any par... but remember Bonk was also a Gainey (was it Bob?) gamble for a top centre - albeit for a season or two- that never worked just now Reminded me of M. Bergeron ..Le Bergy who couldnt stand Bonk bonkers
-
I agree with ya - and btw Im not saying we go for O'Reily he's just the example of a top Cman that doesnt necessarily mean trading your firstborn son for. So if Maxpac + Gal is too much what do you see as an objectively fair .....-mind you the Habs will likely overpay regardless- but to what degree according to you would be more balanced trade?
