  1. soooooooooooooooooo.....still no scraps to report. Summer sucks the bag.
  2. Do the Habs need to make any more moves? What as a team do we need. Do we send Sheldon packing? Vishnevski is available according to Brian Burke. He's not a scoring machine but he is physical. Just trying to get some talk going.Boredom is setting in :hlogo:
  3. Anyone know if there has been any scraps yet with the BabyHabs? I know it happens every year when the big club opens there pre-season warmups and you get goon on goon but I haven't heard anything happening yet. If Vandy and BIGMAN Ivanans are gone then there must be a spot open!!!
  4. Brashear just signed with the Caps(not that I wanted him)- I still want to see Nazarov or Oliwa in Montreal!
  5. Where did you get this info- it's not even on the Kings site.
  6. I heard 2 rumours on team990 today. Souray and pick for Lang. Also heard Souray,Abby and either Ryder(say it ain't so) or a pick for Datszuk.
  7. I know I post alot about the need for toughness on the Habs. Am I the only one who feels we are a weaker team than last year-no Simpson,Vandy,Ivanans. Downey is ok but don't you think that a certified heavy weight is needed. I know that fighting is down but let's be honest, there are games that we get pushed around with nobody to stop it. We don't want guys like Souray in the box. Just looking to see what others feel! :hlogo:
  8. Sir Boagalott.....first thing-great name. Perhaps we will meet at a game this coming season. 2nd- afaik.....Lebanese? afaik inte
  9. Sniper, I agree that it does not happen often. I do want to say that even if you have 4 1st round picks, there is a good poss. that none of them materialize into an actual NHL'er.
  10. Agreed. Like I said a few posts back, how many 1st rounders actually end up playing-remeber,a 1st rounder is not a 1st OVERALL pick.
  11. What about 1990? Turner has had some quality years in the NHL.
  12. If it's a goon we need then here are a few names that could be aquired cheap( I do this as another option instead of Laraque coming here) Super cheap-Kip Brennan(ANA), Francis Lessard(ATL),Gordie Dwyer(not at all what we need but I included him anyways)(CAR),Alex Henry(MIN),Raitis Ivanans(no wait....we had him),Eric Godard(NYI),Jesse Bowlofrice(STL), Wade Brookbank(VAN), Oliwa,Nazarov, Purinton,Alain Nasreddine, vandebusche,Reed Low, Doug Doull,Ivan Majesky....the list goes on. It doesn't have to be Laraque, that's all I'm saying!
  13. except your four 1st rounders may never play a single game in the NHL whereas Crosby and Ovech will be around for years to come.Your 1st rounder may also be 30th overall!
  14. I only saw 77 games but feel I can contribute......bring in a certified heavyweight. Sign a goon for cheap, that can't be hard!
  15. lots of if's going on here. IF the game is rough and Laraque is NOT in the lineup, how can he help the team. 1 guy WILL help if you need toughness. I say Laraque is not needed but I would welcome him for sure. If it's not going to be Laraque, it has to be someone(Downey is NOT the answer for us....as in a Heavyweight)
  16. Laval-Summum Chiefs....only to get cut 4 games into the season.
  17. Who cares about school and stuff. Bob needs to sign some players. We are not a better team than we were last year(even with some departures) and we need some Saku insurance(in case the eye isn't 100%) and I hope Bob knows what he's doing. If he thinks waiting will be better to grab a guy from a team that needs to get under the cap(NJ) then I will assume that Habs management is there for a reason and I am worrying for nothing. They get paid big bucks to "hopefully" have a little more insight than the rest of us. I seriously hope they get a certified goon though(even if he only plays in 30 games)
  18. Until we meet up with Ottawa. Who in the previously mentioned is going to take on Chara or McGratton? I hope your answer isn't Souray
  19. According to the Gazette, Pete Vandermeer and Ivanans are both gone- no contracts will be offered. Who will step in now? Simpson is another rumoured to not be back!
  20. The Tender will be in Hamilton next year...not Montreal. Chip may make the team next year but I think he'll be in Hamilton too. He would have to have a great-no make that outstanding preseason. We don't need him yet-let the young guns develope along and we'll see who we sign in the off-season! Off topic....Habs 5 Isles 2 the secong Isles goal will be a cheapy(a deflection off someones ass or face)
  21. WTF....seem we all need to grow up a bit. A freakin jersey was burnt, not a country's flag. From what I can see it was a lost bet-if the Leaf fan agreed to the bet the so be it. Why all the fuss. So we burnt a leaf jersey-do you think that this has never happened before? Let's keep our focus on the Habs making the playoffs. There sure seems to be alot of talk about this.Maybe, maybe too much talk....this jersey is not a habs jersey....this is a Leaf jersey(see the U2 added in here for humour) :king:
  22. Boo is awesome for a guy who looks like he's 6 inches shy of being a circus act(like me...short). He does give out bone crunching hits and I've even seen him drop his mitts a few times. He's not going to go with a Brashear but I'd bet you he'd go with Avery and someone else his size!
  23. I could give a rats ass about how well or crap THE ODOR plays. All I know is the Huet was again a runner up for def. player of the week! Go Habs Go!!
  24. Looks like he's more than willing to come to his players defense. Good to see a physical presence on the ice again( and boy, it's beena while). Looked pretty darn solid on the PK too! Very impressed to say the least!
  25. I haven't even seen his name on the score sheets for a couple games now(not that I expect to see him scoring) but even fights too! WTF?
