Yep - the conclusion that I've come to is that Komisarek and especially Higgins may have taken pay cuts? Both guys received raises over last year. I think the amount of Pleks contract has a lot to do with the way the market has changed since they signed. Yeah, I used the wrong word. I meant they accepted discounts and took less than they were actually worth. I can see why Pleks got more, he achieved career highs and led the team in +/- last season. I think that this guy is only going to get better and put up even greater numbers this season.

I thought the 1st line looked good with Kovy, they certainly seemed to have instant chemistry and were deadly on the PP. Streit played up on the 4th line and was very impressive, hopefully we'll see him there more often

People should get off Ryders case. The guy has been working hard both ways. He had a couple of great chances last night but was robbed by Raycroft. This has been the story of his game lately, he's been snakebit. The goals will start going in and when they do they'll come in bunches and all you Ryder nay sayers will be silenced.

I was refering to players who were playing Jr when drafted. The player you are talking about in Albany is considered to be a 20 yr old based on his birth date. If he plays in 11 games or more it's 2009, if less than that it's 2010

If a player is under 20 he can't play in the AHL, he has to go back to Jr

Why is Ryder greedy? Asking for your market value is smart not greedy, 2.2 mil for a 30 goal scorer is a good deal, especially when that 30 goals is tops on the team. "Conceated", I think not

I disagree with being severely outgunned. You didn't mention Ryder 30 goals, Higgins 23 goals, Bulis 20 goals. Doug Weight had 6 goals, he didn't outgun anyone. By the way, we outscored them in the series and if you take away the first game they scored 3 more goals. Severely outgunned I think not.
