Favourite Habs

  1. Mailloux has a new number. I hope he scores and looks good in a losing effort.
  2. Some unknown rookie supposedly playing tonight. More details when available.
  3. Breaking the rules here but no GDT so here it is. Seriously, we need to lose this one
  4. We need your A game tonight buddy. Habs can’t afford a win…
  5. End of season is finally coming. Sorry boys but it best if we lose. Wouldn’t mind if Suzuki or Caufield or Slafkovsky fills the net though.
  6. Great Gumper's Ghost, there is an alarming lack of a GDT. The game starts in an hour! The following comes from HabsEyesonthePrize: Game 77: Montreal Canadiens @ New York Rangers Start time: 7:00 PM EDT / 4:00 PM PDT In the Canadiens region: TSN2 (English), RDS (French) In the Rangers region: MSG2 Streaming: ESPN+, RDS, TSN+ Despite Cayden Primeau having to come on in relief of Samuel Montembeault last night, Martin St-Louis is sticking with his plan to have Primeau play tonight’s game in New York City. Primeau faced 18 shots in the 30 minutes he played versus Toronto, stopping all of them, which should have helped to erase the disappointment from his outing versus the Tampa Bay Lightning a couple of days earlier. Joel Armia is also looking to put an off night behind him to have a better performance in his 500th NHL game. He does have goals in two of his previous four games versus the Rangers, and also registered a hat trick versus the franchise back in 2019, so it is a team he enjoys playing. New York, meanwhile, is trying to lock up the top spot in the Metropolitan Division, which it can do with three more wins. They probably see Montreal as one of the easy marks toward that goal, but the Habs could pull off another surprise in the final portion of the season — if they can manage to hold their composure for all 60 minutes. Montreal Canadiens projected lineup Left Wing Centre Right Wing #22 Cole Caufield #14 Nick Suzuki #20 Juraj Slafkovský #11 Brendan Gallagher #35 Alex Newhook #40 Joel Armia #70 Tanner Pearson #71 Jake Evans #17 Josh Anderson #55 Michael Pezzetta #36 Colin White #49 Rafaël Harvey-Pinard Left Defence Right Defence #8 Mike Matheson #52 Justin Barron $54 Jordan Harris #58 David Savard #47 Jayden Struble #26 Johnny Kovacevic Starter Backup #30 Cayden Primeau #35 Samuel Montembeault Injured: Kirby Dach, Christian Dvorak, Kaiden Guhle, Joshua Roy, Chris Wideman, Arber Xhekaj Scratched: Jesse Ylönen New York Rangers projected lineup Left Wing Centre Right Wing Artemiy Panarin Vincent Trocheck Alexis Lafrenière Chris Kreider Mika Zibanejad Jimmy Vesey Will Cuylle Alexander Wennberg Kaapo Kakko Barclay Goodrow Jonny Brodzinski Matt Rempe Left Defence Right Defence Ryan Lindgren Adam Fox K’Andre Miller Jacob Trouba Zac Jones Braden Schneider Starter Backup Igor Shesterkin Jonathan Quick
  7. 5. As of this morning, Kaiden Guhle’s status for tonight’s game remains up in the air. The 22-year-old left Thursday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return. The team was off on Friday, so Guhle’s status, any potential lineup changes and the starting goalie for Saturday's game could be known when St-Louis addresses the media during his pregame press conference
  8. Will update with lines or rosters when they become available. Hoping Suzuki continues to push for 80 points this season.
  9. Habs are on a roll, why not 4 in a row! Carolina Hurricanes vs Montreal Canadiens Box Score - March 30, 2024 - The Athletic
  10. 1st game at home after road trip, i am not putting a lot of money on the Habs to win this one.
  11. Well, Habs beat the Aves in Jan., wonder what odds are they will do it again. On paper, looks pretty one-sided. Canadiens Statistics Avalanche 26-32-12 Record 46-20-5 44.9% (28th) Scoring-chances-for % 54.4% (5th) 2.71 (28th) Goals per game 3.76 (1st) 3.40 (27th) Goals against per game 2.97 (12th) 17.8% (24th) PP% 24.8% (7th) 76.3% (26th) PK% 81.9% (9th) 1-0-0 Head-to-Head Record 0-1-0 Canadiens @ Avalanche: Game preview and how to watch (habseyesontheprize.com)
  12. Franchise of Futility vs Franchise of Forever Projected line combos, courtesy Daily Faceoff Canucks exceed the Habs in every way, except in net, where I assume Casey DeSmith will be between the pipes owing to Demko's injury (as well as the fact that you'd dress him anyway, against a bottom-feeder like Montreal). I will be at this one, along with the 18 000 or so other local Habs fans who always swarm the arena when les boys come to town. GO HABS GO!
  13. Trevor Letowski confirmed on Monday that Montembeault will start against the Oilers.
  14. No news on rosters or starting goalie yet. Score Slafkovsky, Score
  15. Will update as more becomes available. Montembeault to start. https://x.com/CanadiensMTL/status/1767952557601669248?s=20
  16. Didn't see a GDT and the game was started. Currently 3-0 Montreal, Primeau in net.
  17. Looks like Pezzetta draws back in tonight. Canadiens lines at morning skate: Caufield-Suzuki-Slaf Roy-Newhook-Armia Gallagher-Evans-Anderson Pezzetta-Pearson-HP Matheson-Guhle Xhekaj-Savard Struble-Harris Montembault
  18. Getting an early start ... will update as info available
  19. All I know at this point is that Primeau is starting. I like our future:
