  1. After taking the first half of the home-and-home on Saturday, Laval (5-3-2) looks to take the second half as they host the Marlies (6-3-0). Terry - Audette - Holland Carr - Froese - Baun Deslauriers - Petti - Waked Veilleux - Boucher - Gregoire Taormina - Lernout Jerabek - Parisi Bourque - Leblanc Lindgren Rychel - Aaltonen - Johnsson Timashov - Mueller - Moore Greening - Gauthier - Soshnikov Marchment - Brooks - Smith Dermott - LoVerde Nielsen - Rosen Valiev - Holl Pickard Puck drop is at 4:00 PM EST. 91.9 Sports has the coverage in French. There's no English feed for Laval and listening to the Marlies feed is never a good idea.

  3. After struggling a bit on the road, the Rocket (4-2-1) begin a home-and-home set with Rochester (2-3-0) on Wednesday with the second half coming on Friday. Jeremy Gregoire returned to practice but won't be available for Wednesday's contest at the very least. Lines are based on +/- combos from their last game plus some guesses. Baptiste - Porter - Moses Smith - Criscuolo - Fasching Malone - Gill - Cornel Ross - Blackwell - Krause Percy - Nelson Guhle - Goers MacWilliam - Allen Ullmark Terry - Holland - Froese Carr - Audette - Reway Deslauriers - Petti - Baun Veilleux - Boucher - Waked Taormina - Parisi Gelinas - Lernout Bourque - Leblanc Fucale Puck drop is at 7:30 PM EST on Wednesday and 7:05 PM on Friday. 91.9 Sports has the coverage in French. There's no English feed for Laval, ESPN Rochester has the call for the Amerks.
  4. The Montreal Canadiens continue their Caliornia swing and look to cap it off with a much needed victory. Yours truly will be attending the game and is therefore attempting anything to try and help them snap out of it and pull the win off. With Price in net, this is a winnable game although the Habs tend to not have much success in California. Anaheim won last year's meeting in California by a score of 3-2 in a rather close encounter. As far as I know, one of the storylines of the game is that Ryan Getzlaf continues to be nursing an injury and will therefore be out of the lineup. The Habs have a shot here. PROJECTED LINEUPS MONTREAL CANADIENS Pacioretty - Drouin - Galchenyuk Lehkonen - Plekanec - Hemsky Byron - Danault - Shaw Hudon - De La Rose - Gallagher Mete - Weber Alzner - Petry Morrow - Davidson PRICE Montoya ANAHEIM DUCKS Cogliano - Rakell - Silfverberg Ritchie - Vermette - Perry Wagner - Grant - L. Shaw Kerdiles - Rasmussen - Boll Fowler - Manson Beauchemin - Montour Megna - Holzer GIBSON Berra Lineups are not absolutely confirmed but two additional things to note are... 1) The hot start of Andrew Cogliano on the Ducks. Can he keep it up tonight? 2) Gallagher's presence on the 4th line. I'm assuming he spent some time there last game but he also took a puck to the hand (again) last game and hopefully there's not too much to that story.
  5. 3-4-0 Record Scratches: McCoshen Injuries: Luongo, McCann, Sceviour Projected Lineup Jonathan Huberdeau - Aleksander Barkov - Evgenii Dadonov Jamie McGinn - Vincent Trocheck - Radim Vrbata Denis Malgin - Connor Brickley - Nick Bjugstad Micheal Haley - Derek MacKenzie - Owen Tippett Keith Yandle - Aaron Ekblad Michael Matheson - Alex Petrovic Mackenzie Weegar - Mark Pysyk James Reimer Harri Sateri 1-6-1 Record Scratches: de la Rose, Mitchell, Morrow Injuries: Hemsky, Schlemko Projected Lineup Paul Byron - Jonathan Drouin - Artturi Lehkonen Max Pacioretty - Phillip Danault - Andrew Shaw Charles Hudon - Tomas Plekanec - Brendan Gallagher Alex Galchenyuk - Michael McCarron - Nikita Scherbak Victor Mete - Shea Weber Karl Alzner - Jordie Benn Brandon Davidson - Jeff Petry Carey Price Al Montoya Team Leaders Florida Montreal Game Notes Goals Vincent Trocheck (3) 3 tied with (2) Puck Drop: 7:30 PM EST Assists Radim Vrbata (5) Karl Alzner (4) National TV: N/A Points 3 tied with (7) Jonathan Drouin (5) Regional TV: TSN2, RDS, FS-FLA PIMS Micheal Haley (27) Andrew Shaw (18) English Radio: TSN 690 +/- Aaron Ekblad (+5) 3 tied with (-1) French Radio: FM 98.5
  6. It's the AHL's scheduling at its finest - the Rocket (4-1-0) play their third game in less than three full days as they travel to Providence to take on the Bruins (4-1-0) who are also playing their third game in less than three full days. (Lines based on last game and some guesses as I imagine Reway will be back after sitting yesterday plus Bourque needs to play at some point.) Terry - McCarron - Scherbak Carr - Froese - Baun Reway - Audette - Waked Deslauriers - Petti - Broll Taormina - Jerabek Gelinas - Lernout Parisi - Bourque Fucale Lines are based on +/- combos from their last game plus some guesses. Heinen - Czarnik - Szwarz Fitzgerald - Cehlarik - Forsbacka-Karlsson Porter - Cave - Senyshyn Hargrove - Payerl - Blidh Cross - Lauzon Zboril - Grzelcyk Clifton - Breen Binnington (thanks to St. Louis not having a farm team this year) Puck drop is at 3:00 PM EST. 91.9 Sports has the coverage in French. There's no English feed for Laval and I don't feel like looking up the Providence feed.
  7. After a tough OT loss that saw them blow multiple leads last night, the Rocket (3-1-1) play the middle match of their 3-in-3 trip as they travel to Bridgeport to take on the Sound Tigers (1-3-0). Peter Holland and Markus Eisenschmid were injured yesterday and won't suit up today. (Lines based on last game and some guesses as I imagine Reway will sit as well.) Terry - McCarron - Scherbak Carr - Froese -Waked Deslauriers - Audette - Baun Broll - Petti - Veilleux Taormina - Jerabek Gelinas - Lernout Parisi - Bourque Fucale Lines are based on +/- combos from their last game plus some guesses. There's no English feed for Laval but here is the Bridgeport one (I think).
  8. After a two-week homestand, the Rocket (3-1-0) hit the road for the first time this season as they travel to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to take on the Penguins (2-2-0). (Lines based on last game.) Terry - McCarron - Scherbak Carr - Froese -Waked Deslauriers - Audette - Eisenschmid Gregoire - Petti - Baun Taormina - Jerabek Gelinas - Lernout Bourque - Leblanc Lindgren Lines are based on +/- combos from their last game plus some guesses. 10. (poached from Stubbs tweet) 737th match-up between these two franchises. Schlemko is hopefully replacing Benn in this one...but I assume it will be Davidson who gets scratched.
  11. After winning their first two games in a back-to-back last week, Laval(2-0-0) will look to do the same again this week as they host Binghamton (1-0-0), now the affiliate of New Jersey. Daniel Carr is back with the team and is expected to play. Lines are based on +/- combos from their last game plus some guesses. Kennedy - Quenneville - Speers Kearns - Blandisi - Lappin Pietila - Rooney - Bastian Thomspon - Cangelosi - Baddock Loov - Erixon Jacobs - Strait Kapla - Dyblenko Blackwood Terry - McCarron - Scherbak Carr - Holland - Froese Baun - Audette - Waked Broll - Eisenschmid - Gregoire Schlemko - Lernout Taormina - Leblanc Jerabek - Parisi Lindgren Puck drop is at 7:30 PM EST on Friday and 3 PM EST on Saturday. 91.9 Sports has the coverage in French (both games) while TSN 690 has the Friday game. Saturday's game can also be seen on RDS2.
  12. Fresh off a not-so-great road trip, the Habs head home for their home opener and host the Blackhawks. Brandon Saad - Jonathan Toews - Richard Panik Ryan Hartman - Artem Anisimov - Patrick Kane Patrick Sharp - Tanner Kero - Alex DeBrincat Lance Bouma - Tommy Wingels - John Hayden Duncan Keith - Brent Seabrook Michal Kempny - Connor Murphy Gustav Forsling - Jan Ruuta Corey Crawford Scratches: Cody Franson, Jordan Oesterle Injuries: Marian Hossa, Michal Rozsival, Nick Schmaltz, Jordin Tootoo Max Pacioretty - Jonathan Drouin - Brendan Gallagher Alex Galchenyuk - Phillip Danault - Andrew Shaw Charles Hudon - Tomas Plekanec - Artturi Lehkonen Paul Byron - Torrey Mitchell - Jacob de la Rose Victor Mete - Shea Weber Karl Alzner - Jeff Petry Jordie Benn - Brandon Davidson Carey Price Scratches: Jacob de la Rose, Joe Morrow, Mark Streit Injuries: David Schlemko Puck drop is at 7:30 officially but with the player intros, that will be delayed (and if it's like last year, it will be a lengthy delay). TSN2, RDS, and NBC Sports Chicago have the game regionally while NBCSN has the game nationally in the US. English Radio: TSN 690 French Radio: FM 98.5

  15. The Rocket play their first-ever regular season game on Friday night as they host Belleville, the team they split a pair of preseason games with over the weekend. Daniel Carr has taken a leave of absence for a personal matter and won't be with the team this weekend. (Lines are guesses based on the depth chart.) Puck drop is at 7:30 PM EST for both. 91.9 Sports has the coverage in French (both games) while TSN 690 has the Friday game. Friday's game can also be seen on RDS2.
  16. Laval's preseason schedule gets underway today (and ends tomorrow) as they host Belleville - affiliate of Ottawa - for a pair of games. (No idea at this point, hopefully, we'll get a better idea closer to game time...) Reway - Audette - Waked Dufour - Eisenschmid - McEwan Broll - Petti - Veilleux Goulet - Ebbing - Boucher Parisi - Lernout Bourque - Corrin LeBlanc - Posa McNiven Spano Puck drop is at 3 PM EST for both games. 91.9 Sports has the coverage in French. There may or may not be an English feed from Belleville but it's preseason and I don't feel like going and looking it up.
  17. After finally putting a game in the win column last night, the Habs will look to end the exhibition schedule on a winning streak as they host the Senators. Ottawa Lineup Smith - Brown - Stone Formenton - Turris - Dzingel Hoffman - Pageau - Pyatt McCormick - Thompson - Burrows Phaneuf - Chabot Oduya - Claesson Harpur - Wideman Anderson Condon Montreal Lineup Pacioretty - Drouin - Gallagher Hudon - Plekanec - Lehkonen Galchenyuk - Danault - Shaw Byron - de la Rose - Hemsky Mete - Weber Alzner - Petry Streit - Benn Price Lindgren Puck drop is at 7 PM on RDS and TSN5.

  21. The wait is finally over...well, sort of over as real games don't start for a couple more weeks but the Habs kick off their preseason with a 'road' game in Quebec City against the Bruins on Monday night. Beleskey - Spooner - Bjork Gabrielle - Nash - Acciari Schaller - Cave - Senyshyn Agostino - Studnicka - Porter Breen - Cross Grzelcyk - Postma Lauzon - Miller McIntyre Subban Galchenyuk - Danault - Gallagher Byron - Mitchell - Shaw de la Rose - McCarron - Gregoire Froese - Audette - Waked Morrow - Petry Alzner - Juulsen Gelinas - Lernout Reserve skater: Taormina Montoya Fucale Puck drop is at 7:00 PM EST on RDS. 25. The 2017 NHL Draft is here which might provide some short-term relief from the Alex Galchenyuk trade talk. (Who am I kidding, that's not likely going to happen, is it?) The Habs head into the draft with six picks in total although five of those are inside the top 90. Assuming they don't make any moves, they should be able to at least replenish a bit of the depth towards the top end of their prospect pool. Montreal's Picks: 25th Overall 56th Overall 58th Overall 68th Overall 87th Overall 149th Overall Don't forget to make your pick for who the Habs will take by entering our Draft Pool. (We haven't had many takers in this one yet, it'd be nice to have a few more people in there...)
