  1. After a very long Christmas break (one that started back on the 17th), the IceCaps (14-7-5-2) will look to shake off the turkey and the rust as they travel to Toronto to take on the league-leading Marlies (23-5-2-0) for a pair of afternoon matinees. Before the break, the IceCaps were hoping Jacob de la Rose and maybe Markus Eisenschmid would be available for this one. The Marlies will be without William Nylander and Kasperi Kapanen who are both off to the World Juniors. Lessio - Hudon - Holloway Bournival - McCarron - Dumont MacMillan - de la Rose - Fournier McNally - Eisenschmid - Gregoire Bennett - Dietz Ellis - Didier Hanley - Lernout Pasquale (Based on previous +/- data.) 4. The lengthy run of divisional matchups continues as the IceCaps (13-7-7) host the Devils (16-6-3) in their final two home games before the Christmas break. (Based on previous +/- data.) 5. It has been nearly three weeks since St. John's had a home game but that will change tonight as the IceCaps (12-6-6) host the Americans (10-11-2) for a pair of divisional matchups. Michael Bournival will make his season debut for the 'Caps and is expected to play on the front line. Jacob de la Rose is also expected to play though there's no word on what line he will skate on. Miceli - McCarron - Holloway Bournival - de la Rose - Dumont McNally - MacMillan - Gregoire Bozon - Pither - Fournier Barberio - Dietz Ellis - Didier Hanley - Lernout Pasquale (Based on previous +/- data.) 8. 19-5-3 Habs take on 8-13-4 Hurricanes. Habs PP 4th, PK 2nd Car PP 30th, PK 29th Carolina has called up 3 AHLers, while superstar Stall only has 4g and J. Faulk leading their team with 8g 18pts Averaging <11,000 fans per game and lost 8 of last 10, so not expecting a good game at all, but maybe Subban can score and double his goal total (gotta hit the net first and not sail shots by Pacioretty's nose). GHG
  9. The 6 game road trip comes to an end tonight as the IceCaps (12-5-6) travel to Binghamton to take on the Baby Sens (5-13-2). St. John's will be looking to extend their point streak to 11 straight games. This will be Jarred Tinordi's final game on his conditioning stint and will likely be the last game for Tokarski before getting recalled to rejoin Montreal. Michael Bournival didn't play yesterday and it's not known if he'll be available tonight. This could be a particularly rough affair as the Senators lead the league in PIMS by a considerable margin, averaging 24.55 per game. Hudon - McCarron - Holloway McNally - Dumont - Gregoire Miceli - MacMillan - Fournier Neilson - Pither Barberio - Ellis Tinordi - Dietz Hanley - Lernout Didier Tokarski (Based on previous +/- data.) Puempel - Dzingel - Schneider Robinson - Paul - McCormick Greening - Ewanyk - Flanagan Dav. Dziurzynski - Dar. Dziurzynski - Stortini Carlisle - Kostka Harpur - Mullen Claesson - Tuzzolino O'Connor Puck drop is at 7:05 PM EST. AM 930 has the call.
  10. The IceCaps (11-5-6) will look to pick up at least a point for the 10th straight game tonight as they travel to Utica to take on the Comets (9-9-2) in yet another divisional matchup. It's not yet known if Michael Bournival will be in the lineup though they could certainly use him. Hudon - McCarron - Holloway Bozon - Dumont - Gregoire McNally - MacMillan - Fournier Pither - Miceli Tinordi - Ellis Hanley - Didier Barberio - Lernout Dietz Pasquale (Based on previous +/- data.) Shinkaruk - Vey - Jensen Bancks - Zalewski - Jones Archibald - Friesen - Grenier Kurtz - Hamilton - LaBate Ehrhardt - Negrin Fedun - Sautner Pedan - Subban Bachman Puck drop is at 7:00 PM EST. 12. The IceCaps (11-5-5) kick off the second week of their road trip by travelling to Albany to take on the Devils (12-4-3) for an early season battle for sole possession of second place in the North Division. Dustin Tokarski is expected to make his first of three 'conditioning' starts in this one. Hudon - McCarron - Holloway Bozon - Dumont - Gregoire McNally - MacMillan - Fournier Pither - Miceli Tinordi - Ellis Hanley - Didier Bennett - Dietz Lernout Tokarski (Based on previous +/- data.) 14. It could be a tough couple of games for the IceCaps (9-5-5) as they are in Toronto to take on the league-leading Marlies (15-3-1) for a pair of games. The Baby Leafs have lost just once in their past 11 contests which happened to be to St. John's. The Leafs sent down Scott Harrington earlier today so he'll likely be in the lineup. Hudon - McCarron - Carr Bozon - Dumont - Gregoire McNally - MacMillan - Fournier Blain - Miceli Thrower - Ellis Tinordi - Didier Hanley - Lernout Bennett Pasquale (Based on previous +/- data.) Leipsic - Carrick - Frattin Soshnikov - Nylander - Panik Kapanen - Arcobello - Hyman Bailey - Findlay - Leivo Campbell - Valiev Brennan - Harrington Percy - Loov Bibeau Puck drop is at 2:00 PM EST on Saturday (from the Air Canada Centre) while Sunday's contest is a 1 PM start (at the Ricoh Coliseum). AM 930 and the ever-so-scratchy feed has the call.
  15. What's left of the IceCaps (9-5-4) begin a 3-in-3 road stretch tonight as they travel to Rochester to take on the Americans (8-9-1). On the injury front, none of St. John's walking wounded are expected to return and it's believed that Connor Crisp is the closest to getting back in the lineup. Hopefully that comes sooner than later. With the 'Caps having nine defencemen and an awful fourth line, I expect we'll see 11 forwards and 7 d-men. (With all the call-ups, these are straight guesses...) Hudon - McCarron - Carr Bozon - Dumont - Gregoire McNally - MacMillan - Fournier Blain - Miceli Barberio - Ellis Tinordi - Didier Hanley - Lernout Bennett Fucale (Based on previous +/- data.) Carrier - O'Reilly - Bailey Dupuy - Rodrigues - Akeson D'Amigo - Varone - Baptiste Nevins - Kea - Ellis Leduc - Robak Ruhwedel - Austin Donovon - Prapavessis Makarov Puck drop is at 7:05 PM EST. AM 930 and the ever-so-scratchy feed has the call.
  16. Week two of the home stand begins for the IceCaps (8-5-3) as they host Syracuse (7-5-1), affiliate of Tampa Bay. Dustin Tokarski has been sent back to St. John's but will not start in Friday's game at least. (Based on previous +/- data.) McGinn - Tambellini - Peca Gourde - Richard - Paradis Ikonen - Angelidis - Broll Hart - Darcy Nesterov - deAngelo Witkowski - Koekkoek Dotchin - Blujus Walcott Gudlevskis Andrighetto - Hudon - Holloway Carr - McCarron - Thomas MacMillan - Dumont - Gregoire Fournier - Miceli - Neilson Barberio - Dietz Ellis - Didier Thrower - Lernout Pasquale Puck drop is at 6:00 PM EST for both games. AM 930 and the ever-so-scratchy feed has the call. Note that Saturday's game will be televised on RDS on tape delay; coverage there will begin at 7:30 PM EST.

  18. The Montreal Canadiens had a nine game winning streak snapped by the Canucks. The Canadiens have gone 4-3-2 since. It's time to shake off the loss and get back to being the best team in the NHL! Current Lineups Vancouver Canucks: 7-6-5 (8th in Conference, 3rd in Division) Sedin - Sedin - Hansen Higgins - McCann - Vrbata Baertschi - Horvat - Virtanen Shinkaruk - Cracknell - Dorsett Edler - Tanev Hamhuis - Weber Hutton - Bartowski Markstrom Miller Injured: Prust (skating), Sutter, Sbisa Scratched: Burrows (personal) Montreal Canadiens: 13-3-2 (2nd in Conference, 1st in Division) Pacioretty - Plekanec - Gallagher Fleischmann - Desharnais - Weise Eller - Galchenyuk - Semin Flynn - Mitchell - Smith-Pelly (Byron was skating in place of Flynn today but not expected to play) Markov - Subban Beaulieu - Petry Gilbert - Pateryn Condon Tokarski Injured: Emelin, Price (now skating with full gear) Scratched: Tinordi, Byron

  20. After a two week road trip, the IceCaps (7-5-1-1) are back on home ice. That's the good news. The bad is that they match up for a pair of games against the Marlies (10-3-0) who are lighting up the AHL, scoring just under 4 goals per game. This marks a string of 19 straight games against divisional opponents. (Based on previous +/- data.) Leivo - Nylander - Panik Leipsic - Arcobello - Bailey Hyman - Carrick - Frattin Clune - Gauthier - Soshnikov Percy - Loov Martin - Valiev Brennan - Holl Bibeau Andrighetto - Hudon - Holloway Carr - McCarron - Thomas McNally - Dumont - Gregoire MacMillan - Miceli - Fournier Barberio - Ellis Bennett - Dietz Hanley - Lernout Fucale Puck drop is at 6:00 PM EST for both games. AM 930 and the ever-so-scratchy feed has the call. Note that Friday's game will be televised on RDS on tape delay; coverage there begins at 7:30 PM EST.
  21. The nightmarish road trip for St. John's finally comes to an end tonight as the IceCaps (6-5-2) return to Hershey for the second time in a week to take on the Bears (6-3-2). Carr - McCarron - Holloway Hudon - de la Rose - Andrighetto McNally - Dumont - Thomas Fournier - Eisenschmid - Gregoire Barberio - Pateryn Ellis - Dietz Bennett - Lernout* Fucale (* - I wouldn't be surprised if Didier or Thrower plays instead of Lernout but there's no lineup news yet.) (Based on previous +/- data.) Carey - Boyd - Bourque Camper - Collins - Galiev Walker - Gazley - Barber O'Brien - Sill - Mitchell Ness - Moore Carrick - Djoos Stanton - Burgdoerfer Peters Puck drop is at 7:00 PM EST. AM 930 and the ever-so-scratchy feed has the call.
  22. The IceCaps (6-3-2) start week two of their road trip with a pair of tough matchups against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (7-1-0), affiliate of, you guessed it, Pittsburgh. Greg Pateryn will be available after being sent down by Montreal yesterday. Andrighetto - Hudon - Holloway Carr - McCarron - Thomas de la Rose - Dumont - Gregoire McNally - Eisenschmid - Fournier Barberio - Pateryn Ellis - Dietz Hanley - Lernout Fucale (Based on previous +/- data.) Sheary - Mouillerat - Rowney Uher - Sundqvist - Kostopoulos Rowney - Simon - Kuhnhackl Biggs - Dea - Archibald Pouliot - Oleksy McNeill - Erixon Warsofsky - Andersen Murray Puck drop is at 7:05 PM EST. AM 930 and its scratchy feed has the call.
