Favourite Habs

  1. 1st game at home after road trip, i am not putting a lot of money on the Habs to win this one.
  2. Well, Habs beat the Aves in Jan., wonder what odds are they will do it again. On paper, looks pretty one-sided. Canadiens Statistics Avalanche 26-32-12 Record 46-20-5 44.9% (28th) Scoring-chances-for % 54.4% (5th) 2.71 (28th) Goals per game 3.76 (1st) 3.40 (27th) Goals against per game 2.97 (12th) 17.8% (24th) PP% 24.8% (7th) 76.3% (26th) PK% 81.9% (9th) 1-0-0 Head-to-Head Record 0-1-0 Canadiens @ Avalanche: Game preview and how to watch (habseyesontheprize.com)
  3. Franchise of Futility vs Franchise of Forever Projected line combos, courtesy Daily Faceoff Canucks exceed the Habs in every way, except in net, where I assume Casey DeSmith will be between the pipes owing to Demko's injury (as well as the fact that you'd dress him anyway, against a bottom-feeder like Montreal). I will be at this one, along with the 18 000 or so other local Habs fans who always swarm the arena when les boys come to town. GO HABS GO!
  4. Trevor Letowski confirmed on Monday that Montembeault will start against the Oilers.
  5. No news on rosters or starting goalie yet. Score Slafkovsky, Score
  6. Will update as more becomes available. Montembeault to start. https://x.com/CanadiensMTL/status/1767952557601669248?s=20
  7. Didn't see a GDT and the game was started. Currently 3-0 Montreal, Primeau in net.
  8. Looks like Pezzetta draws back in tonight. Canadiens lines at morning skate: Caufield-Suzuki-Slaf Roy-Newhook-Armia Gallagher-Evans-Anderson Pezzetta-Pearson-HP Matheson-Guhle Xhekaj-Savard Struble-Harris Montembault
  9. Getting an early start ... will update as info available
  10. All I know at this point is that Primeau is starting. I like our future:

Only slightly stolen this time. Leap Year Game! I looked at the date a long time before I realized it's a leap year.

  13. Habs' starting lines: Caufield - Suzuki - Slafkovský Roy - Newhook - Armia Anderson - Evans - Gallagher Pearson - White - Ylonen Matheson - Guhle Xhekaj - Savard Harris - Kovacevic Allen Primeau
  14. Primeau in net tonight and rosters remain the same except Colin White plays 4th line centre. Hoping for another great game by Roy and a rebound for our first line.
  15. Canadiens: Caufield - Suzuki - Slafkovsku Armia - Evans - Gallagher Roy - Newhook - Anderson Pearson - Gignac - Ylonen Matheson - Guhgle Struble - Savard Xhekaj - Harris Montembeault Primeau Sabres: Skinner - Thompson - Tuch Benson - Krebs - Peterka Greenway - Mittelstadt - Cozens Robinson - Girgensons - Okposo Dahlin - Jokiharju Bryson - Clifton Clague - Johnson Luukkonen Comrie
  16. No idea about lines but Guhle is on the ice for practice - surprise, surprise. Primeau hasn’t played in a month but not sure who gets the start. Suzuki is playing excellent hockey and so is my man Slafkovsky. Go Habs Go
  17. Nobody has picked up the ball ... but even if we win I'm not doing the next game
  18. EARLY start on this ... felt like the best place to mention that I would prefer Condotta and Stephens be called up for Tuesday's game, giving Newhook the extra four days until the Dallas game in Montreal on the 10th.
  19. No news on lines Harris in because "we are healthy and it is a competitive league" ... I would also note that Pittsburgh has the 3rd fewest PIMs per game, not the most physical team Harris always impresses me with how he handles himself with the media
  20. Caufield - Suzuki - Anderson Slafkovsky - Monahan - Armia Gallagher - Evans - RHP Pearson - Condotta - Pezzetta Matheson - Savard Struble - Guhle Xhekaj - Kovacevic Montembeault Allen
  21. Allen in net tonight but I have no idea what the lines might look like. Pearson is expected back and surely Xhekaj will be playing. I do expect an absolute beat down against Ottawa - a revenge game boosted by Xhekaj’s presence. Go Habs Go
  22. The Canadiens practiced at TD Garden ahead of their matchup with the Bruins on Saturday. Head coach Martin St-Louis confirmed during his pregame press conference that forward Josh Anderson will return to the lineup in Boston. The 29-year-old forward has not played since Jan. 11 against the Sharks. He's been evaluated on a day-to-day basis (lower. body) since then. Anderson is slated to play his 499th NHL game. Samuel Montembeault will start for the Canadiens for the seventh time in 11 games. Here’s the projected lineup for tonight’s game: Forwards Jesse Ylonen and Tanner Pearson, as well as defenseman Johnathan Kovacevic rotated in on occasion. None of the three are expected to play against the Bruins.
